James shifted back to his normal human form and shook himself out. "No I don't get fleas. Because I care about being clean. And not being a douche bag. And stuff. I'm sorry, we ARE talking about Sirius, aren't we?" He stretched and ran his hand through his hair, feeling ironically UNclean from a day or so in the forest.

"He threw a tantrum because I'm taking Fleur to prom... Says he'll never speak to me again. Or something." He shrugged. A day in the forest had cleared his mind nicely. He could talk freely about the whole ordeal now.

Oh. I wasn't aware that he and Fleur were together again. Hang on, WHY would she have said yes to you, if she had any plans of going with Sirius? She's Fleur Delacour, it's not like she needs to say yes to the first person who asks her. She's not me. Practically every boy from Hogwarts asked her to the Yule Ball....

Everyone's terrified of moving in on his territory." He smiled at her, still thinking about why Fleur would say yes to him if there was always Sirius...

*Hermione flushes a little, even though she thinks that's probably not it. A completely disproportionate amount of people in AWF do indeed know Remus is a werewolf, but not everyone. She glances down at her protruding tummy and bursts out laughing.*

"He has some pretty scary wolf buddies," James admitted. "But all the big threats know me by now. You know there's giant spiders in there? It's crazy..." He put an arm around Mya's shoulders and headed toward the castle. Hanging out in the forest had been fun, but now it was time for a shower and clothes that didn't smell like deer. Clothes that were... in the dorm. Where Sirius was. Shit.

Yeah - I've heart they're in there. Luckily never met them myself. Have met a couple of wolves by now though, and no I did not enjoy that! Remus was wrestling away and having the time of his life with them and I thought they were gonna eat me! I always like heading back towards the castle... there are sandwiches and cookies in there....

Marid had been randomly walking around the Forest the entire time he and Djinn had been battling. He bumped bodily into Regulus Arcturus Black, and he looked at the human in surprise. How had he msised him? He was a MESS of emotion and horrible black stuff that made him want to vomit...if god's vomited. Marid didn't pay attention to the gold blood cascading off of his body and onto the floor of the Forest, leaving a trail of golden, star shaped flowers and sunilight in his wake.

[I think i'll have te beach sand turn silvery. -runs to do that now-]

Regulus fell backwards against a tree as he's knocked into by none other than Marid the Golden One, and quickly shifts his expression into one of panic. He'd stared wonderingly at the strange footprint and trail of silver at the beach; how had he been so careless and unobservant!? He'd walked right into Marid's clutches this time, and he paled quickly. "M-Marid!" he cried out in shock, and quickly scrambled backwards, ready to make a run for it if he was attacked again. There was nothing to say that Djinn would be able to save him again, this time. "I mean- your holiness? My esteemed lord? Greetings, immortal, whose presence I am unworthy of?" SHIT. HOW DO YOU ADDRESS A GOD THAT IS ACTUALLY PROUD AND WHATNOT??!? AAAAH! -panic panic flail flail-

"You generally address a god like that." He peered down (even though he was shorter than Reg...he had a way of looking down at people) at Regulus with a confused smirk. "You're so strange." he reached out and brushed Reg's cheek with his hand in a way reminiscent of Djinn. "Why he would fight for you i don't know. Maybe it's because your soft?"

Regulus cringed and bit his tongue, wanting nothing more than to smack Marid's hand away but understanding that doing so would be akin to signing up for his own execution, and so he tolerated it. "Fight for me?" he wondered aloud, assuming that he was speaking about the incident on the astronomy tower. "I hardly call that fighting for me so much as preventing you from turning me into a pile of ash, and then disappearing. Not much of a fight."

Marid snorted and stepped back. "He doesn't talk to you much after all. Stupid idiot. He's currently dying in the spirit world because i've finally gotten the upper hand." he gestured a bit wildly and did an overly dramatic execution slash across his neck. "He's in there fighting to get back, and i've finally found a weakness. i knew there was a reason my fathers pushed me to learn Illusion."

Regulus whirled around to face him, stunned and horrified. "Dying?! But- Djinn- no!" he said stubbornly, looking at Marid like he was the filthiest creature on earth. If Djinn died, it would be all his own fault- how he'd begged him to come back, to find a way to return to him- how selfish he had been. "Why are you doing this? Why are you killing him?" he asked, trying to keep the malice in his voice to a minimum.

Marid shrugged. "It's what happens in Godsholme. Some god is always killing and taking over for another. It's a constant, eternal battle struggle and the only way to get away from it is to enter into bondage as a slave for a human. Or get struck down and turned human, a fate worse then death. Because even when you're a human, you're immortal. And you have to watch loved ones die around you forever." Marid held up a hand, and showed Reg a mini version of himself and spoke with cruel indifference only a god could affect. "See this? His weakness. All i have to do is cast it around myself and he stops his attack just long enough and i can get him. His own Shdowrealm is bathed in his blood and tears, all because he allowed himself to get close. To become human inside."

[omg i can't wait to write these scenes in the battle. omg omg omg i'm a horrid genius]

Regulus looked at Marid with abhorrence, regarding him with such loathing he'd never even thought possible. "You find it fun, don't you? Tormenting him, and me? That's sick, sick and twisted, and you- I have no words," he replied, staring at the miniature figure and growing nauseous. What had he done? What had forced Djinn into?! "And nothing I can say will make you let him go, will it?"

Marid looked at Regulus astounded, "There's nothing personal about this at all. I find no personal gain or pleasure, because i am what Djinn isn't, I'm a god that follows the rules." he gestured and words in gold fire appeared in the air, which read:

1) Never allow yourself to feel human emotion.
2) Never tell your whole name.
3) Never fall in love.
4) Never show love or compassion. Do your job and leave.
5) Never let yourself be trapped in a bottle.
6) Never show a human your TRUE form. Or parts of it.
7) Never break or question the rules. Or you will be struck down.
"The ones that grow red are the ones he's broken. All because of you. And i'm telling you this so you know why i have to kill him."

Regulus read the words and stared at Marid in disbelief, shocked by his apathy, but more shocked by what number three entailed. Djinn loved Regulus. That's why he was doing all of this, and it angered Regulus- he didn't want to be loved by Djinn, he wanted Djinn to be safe and okay again. "But... but why punish him, if it's my fault that he's broken them? Why not punish me instead?!"

"He's not IN love with YOU. He's in love with the idea of being a human. Which he'll one day find out all too soon." Marid made the words of fire disappear. "And you're not worth the notice of the High Court. He's broken the laws, he'll be punished as seen fit. It's what happens."
