*She whispers, leaning in for a quick kiss and then turning away. She kicks her own legs up, giving him a little taste of his own medicine.*

Remus pouted and flailed as she kicked water back at him. He reaches down and cups water in his hands then dumps it on her.

*Hermione gasps as the cold water trickles down the back of her neck and glares playfully at Remus.*

Oh, now you've done it!

*Reaching down, she grabs a handful of water herself and flicks it up in the direction of his face.*

Remus shakes the water off his face, grinning, and splashes more water at her. He contemplates pushing her into the lake...

*Hermione gets there first. She gives him a big old shove, right off the end of the dock. Yeah. Take that.*

Remus pops up out of the water, sputtering. "Hey now!!" He shakes his head like a cute adorable puppy, water droplets flying off his hair and hitting her in the face. Reaching up he grabs her by the waist and pulls her in, dunking her into the lake.

*Laughing, Hermione surfaces and shoves her wet hair back from her face. She catches her breath and then dives under again, latching onto Remus' ankle and giving a sharp tug to pull him underwater too.*

Remus manages to hold his breath before being pulled under. He surfaces, lifting her out of the water, and tosses her playfully, not ridiculously far and hard, into the water again.

*Hermione shrieks as she goes flying a little ways away and crashes into the water again. She surfaces, laughing again, and splashes water in his direction.*
No fair! That's cheating!

*She reaches for the waistband of her shorts, already clinging to her legs, but does not find her wand. After a moment of panic, she realises she's left it on the dock and pouts. Damn. Well, without super duper strength, she'll just have to settle for the more traditional splash-war methods. So she does, unleashing a barrage of splashing at him.*

Remus laughs, raising his arms to try and protect himself from the splashing water. "I'm not cheating! You're welcome to try and lift me as well!" Which he knows won't happen, so whatev. Heehee...it's not totally cheating, really! Taking a deep breath, he ducks down under the water and wraps his arms around her waist, pulling her under.

*Hermione pokes her tongue out at him, knowing as well as he does that she won't be lifting him anytime soon. She squeaks in surprise as he pulls her under and latches onto his arms, figuring if she can't break free then at least she'll hold him down until he has no choice but to have them surface together. Doesn't stop her from trying though - she twists madly about, trying in vain to get free.*

Remus is quite good at holding his breath under water but, he doesn't want to keep her under for too long. So he waits a bit longer, holding tightly as she twists about trying to get free. Eventually he pushes them both to the surface, splashing her in the face while taking in some breaths of air.

*Hermione takes a deep breath when they surface, only to be hit in the face with a wall of water as Remus splashes her. She coughs and splutters a little bit, glaring at Remus as much as she can with the traitorous smile lingering around her mouth. This was just too much fun, being young and carefree for a little while. She rolls her shoulders a little to get some more movement from her clinging shirt and swims over to Remus, launching herself and clinging to his back as she pushes his head under quickly.*

Remus smirks at her glaring, because it's obvious she doesn't really mean it. He was really enjoying this. It took him by surprise when she launched herself at him, and he choked a bit. Rolling over onto his back, he pulled her under and then loosened her grip so he could pull his head out of the water. "Ack-" He coughed to clear his throat then waited for her to surface so he could get revenge...somehow.

*Hermione pouts a little as she's forced to let go of Remus in order to surface. She swims back a little, just out of reach while she catches her breath. A little wave of giggles overtakes her as she stares at Remus, trying to plot her next attack. The way they're staring at each other reminds her vaguely of the stand-offs in the old muggle westerns she used to see on tv sometimes.*

Remus can't help but grin, they must look so silly right now. But whatever, they're enjoying themselves! He thinks about what he could do...hmm...OH. He ducks under water really quickly and surfaces to spit a stream of water at her. Hehe, it may be nasty, but it's funny. Except when someone you don't know does it to you. Then it's not funny. It's gross. >.> *kicks random guy at the pool from last summer*

*If anyone other than Remus had done that, Hermione may have hexed them. But hey, this is Remus, and they made a baby together so it's all good. Laughing, she ducks out of the way.*

Boys are so gross sometimes!

*She rolls onto her back and kicks her feet at him, throwing up waves of water over them both.*

Remus laughs and grabs her feet, tugging her towards him. "At least I'm not as bad as some boys." He pulled her up so he could hug her, kissing her forehead. "I love you."

*Hermione giggles as he pulls her over by her feet and slides her arms around his neck, kissing her way along his cheek and jaw.*

Love you too. And as far as boys go, you're definitely the best there is.

*She keeps accidentally kicking him in the shins as she tries to tread water, so she gives up, wrapping her legs around his waist. He's so keen to throw her about like a rag doll, so clearly he can handle the added weight. She kisses his nose and wipes a couple of droplets of water off his cheek.*

Remus laughs and kisses her. "I may not be the best but whatever, as long as I am to you. That makes me happy. I truly am blessed with the best girl there is." He brushes some of her wet hair back.

*Hermione chuckles.*

The best girl there is? Well, that's Kiora of course, so you're definitely right there!

*She closes her eyes a moment, enjoying the feeling of his hand on her face as he brushes her hair back, and rests her head on his shoulder. It's been forever since she's just felt like nothing more than a 17 year old girl, she'd almost forgotten how easy it was to forget everything a while, and how good it felt to just be there with someone. She opens her mouth to tell Remus she loves him yet again, but then realises it's a little redundant to say it so many times in such a short space - he might think she's lost her conversation skills if she goes around repeating herself every ten seconds - so she just closes her mouth and brushes her lips over his shoulder.*

Remus sighs and chuckles. "Correction: I am blessed with the two best girls there are." He lightly splashed water at her face. It looked like she was going to say something else for a moment there too but she'd apparently changed her mind. "Were you going to say something?"

*Hermione moves her face when he splashes lightly at it. She unwinds her legs from around his waist and treads water for herself again. Her hands come up to rest on either side of his face and she smiles innocently.*

Nothing I haven't said a million times before, honey.

*She pulls his face down towards hers, as if for a kiss, but moves at the last second, shoving his face into the water. She giggles as he faceplants into the water and leaps back, swimming a little ways out of the reach of his arms.*

Oh, damn. He should have seen that one coming. Well, two can play at that game. He pops back up, sputtering and shakes his hair out like a dog does. "Hey! I'm going to get you for that!" Taking a deep breath, he dives down and swims quickly over to her. He takes hold of her legs and pulls her down quickly.
