*Hermione smiles, tears leaking out.*

Thank you. Her name's Kiora. Kiora Rose Lupin. Born on May 18th. How are you, Tam?

*Hermione shrugs*

It's ok. A fabulous gay man delivered her, and Remus fainted the minute she was born. So I had enough to keep me occupied. I wish I could've been here for you, too. I was so caught up in my own stuff, I didn't realize everything had gone to hell for you...

*She silently holds Kiora out a little, offering for Tam to take her, but not pushing it*

*Tam gently stroked Kiora's cheek again but didn't take her, she couldn't. Turning on her heel Tam walked back into the cottage* Do you want to come in? *she put the kettle on and turned back to Mya with a fake smile* So do I know this "fabulous gay man" who delivered her?

*Hermione nods slightly, holding Kiora close again and silently berating herself for offering. Of course Tam wouldn't want to hold the baby. She follows her into the cottage and glanced around.*

It's a cute place. Um, I don't know? Fabian Prewett? He's a Gryffindor - I actually only met him the day Kiora was born... all a bit awkward, really. Thank Merlin he's gay - before I knew that I was REALLY awkward!

*Tam laughed and poured some tea. Picking up the cups she walked into the living room with Mya* So how's Remus doing?

*Hermione chuckles and takes a seat*

He's doing fine. Still having a victory dance over being right about the baby being a girl. And.... he's realised that she's not going to have his furry little problem, so he's over the moon about that!

*Hermione looks down at Kiora's face to avoid Tam*

Right. Drama. There's always plenty of that back there... So.... Hashbee's gone to his grandparents? And you're ok with that?

*Hermione squeezes her hand and looks at her properly at last*

As long as you promise. I'm glad you're doing better, really I am. I just want you to be happy, is all.

*Hermione bites her lip and looks away again, thinking about how it hurt not to be able to say goodbye to her godson, but also glad he was safe and cared for*

-a letter flies in-

Tam,

Hey, I heard you did something and I need to know if it's true. Last month someone pulled a prank to make some girls in the school think they were pregnant. I'm sure you already knew that. The other day I was talking to a friend and she said it was you. I don't want you to lie to me. I just want to know, did you or did you not pull the prank?

Marcus

Tam replies like 234895348590485690345 years later... sorry Marcus!!!!!!

Marcus,

I did. I'm truly sorry about it but I can't deny it was me. I was out of line and it was all a huge mistake. I don't know why I did it but I did and now I'm here. Away from it all. This is my fault and I'm sorry for any pain it has caused you or your friend (am I right in assuming it was Penny?)

Tam,

I am glad I at least know it was you now..
You are still one of my good friends and I am
putting this behind us. It was just a stupid
prank..and I don't think we should let it affect
us. I miss you...
