Reed hardly notices what Kras said, "Whaa?" He tore his eyes away from the book as he was lowered into a chair. "Oh, cut myself. Ooops." Reed continued to blush as he watched Kras take care of his hand. He gave his friend a sweet smile when the black handkerchief was in place. "Thanks..and thanks for showing me this stuff. Although, I probably won't want to leave now.." For the sake of conversation purposes, Reed closed the book so he wouldn't get distracted.

Kras grins, sitting down in a chair right next to Reed's. It was nice being on the same level now, and he rested his chin in his hand as he leaned his arm on the arm of the chair, leaning slightly towards the younger boy. "I'm glad I could be helpful. And you know, you can always borrow the books and bring them back to your dorm so you don't have to spend hours in here. Though spending hours in here isn't all that bad ven it's quiet."

Reed shook his head. "Nah, then I would really never leave my dorm. Consider this incentive for me to come out and play." Reed laughed loudly then covered his mouth so he wouldn't get in trouble. "Uh, what kind of books do you usually come in here for? I feel like you are learning all these things about me since I don't know how to shut my mouth, but I don't really know much about you. Other then you are from Bulgaria and live on your own." Reed smiled and stared intently.

"Hm, you have a point there." Kras grinned, chuckling as Reed covered his mouth so he wouldn't get in trouble. "Me? Vell...I like looking at the books on insects...vell, bees at least. I don't like spiders." he shivered. "And I like to read just for fun so I read some vizarding fiction." shrugging, he stretched his long legs out, crossing them at the ankles. "Oh...and charms stuff. I like reading about charms." he nods.

Reed smiled. "I gather that you like bees. May I ask why? I've always sort of thought of them as flying death monkeys. Maybe you can help me see them in a better light?" Reed bounced in his seat happily. "I'd like to read for leisure if I had the time, but I never really have ever had time." He shrugged.

The Library: Behind a Bookshelf - Page 25 Empty Re: The Library: Behind a Bookshelf

Post  Krasimir Svetkova February 27th 2011, 4:45 am

"I love them." Kras grins. "It's hard to explain...basically, besides the fact that I like the sound they make and that they're my favorite colors, I think I like them so much because they vork together and are like von big family. You know? Teamvork and all that. I'm a big fan of vorking together vith others. Everything goes so much better and is more effective that vay. Plus you're never alone then." He almost regretted adding that last comment on because he didn't normally mention -or sort of mention- one of the things he feared the most - being alone. Sure he didn't mind that he was living on his own now, but already he was thinking about making plans to get a dog or something once he returned to Bulgaria. Not to mention the bees he would probably end up catching and putting in insect containers or votever. He always had thought it would be fun to have a huge insect container and have a bee family in it. He'd even put flowers in it so they'd have something to get pollen from. Yeah, most people would think it weird but he was never a very normal fellow. "It's sort of how I am...you know? Like, how I love meeting new people all the time and vorking together vith everyvon and just being friendly. I have a bee tattoo on my back, actually. I'd show you but I don't think removing one's shirt in the library is smiled upon." Though the girls over in the corner who were staring in their direction probably wouldn't mind. Kras, being Kras, was oblivious to any staring. Even more so because he was too busy staring at Reed. "So maybe some other time." he grinned. "And you know...maybe you could do vot I do sometimes ven I'm too busy to really spend time reading for fun. Just read a chapter or two before you go to sleep at night. It helps you relax and you get to actually read." Oops, long post is long.

The noise I made after seeing you posted and then reading the post was definitely not human...

Reed couldn't believe how much Kras just talked, and he decided he really liked the Bulgarian's accent. Of course he blushed when Kras mentioned taking off his shirt.."Wow, that's actually pretty deep. Not that I thought you couldn't be deep. I just meant that, that is a deep way to look at bees. I always saw them as yet another thing I can hurt myself on. But you are totally right on the working together thing. I don't think there's any other creature that works as well as a community as bees do. Plus, they do anything to protect their queen, which I like." Reed sort of felt like he was someone that needed protecting, but he would never say that out loud to anyone. "And you got a tattoo?? That's so cool! I've never actually ever wanted one myself, but I think other people's are cool! Did it hurt? Probably not for a big strong fellow like yourself." Awkward pause..."Ummm. I should try reading before bed! I usually am so exhausted that I just pass out anyways, but maybe that's a better way to fall asleep. Plus, it can help expand my imagination which in turn could help my painting! Well, if it's like a fiction or fantasy book. I don't think I'll get any imagination expansion from like, school textbooks or something." He laughed and leaned back in his chair. Reed could hardly believe how fast he started to like Kras. He had always considered himself friendly, but had never before made a friend this fast. Sure, he considered Dem a friend now, but he felt like he had already known Kras for a lot longer than half an hour.

Hehe. X3 It's all good. You should see how quickly Inner!Kras mobs me whenever he sees a post from Reed. I've taken to letting Rem use a full body bind hex on him or something if he gets to out of control. *blinks*

Kras actually blushes himself again. He kind of wants to tell Reed to just stop being so adorable, because it's so hard to concentrate some of the time when he just wants to stare at the younger fellow, but then again, Kras likes how adorable Reed is so votever. "Er..vell, I'm not the best at explaining things, but I'm glad you got vot I vos trying to explain vith the whole bee thing." he flailed happily. Kras found himself sort of wishing that he could always be around to protect Reed, and this time it wasn't just because he loved protecting/helping people...there was something else to this as well. Like, there was some stronger reason, a stronger feeling, that had him wanting to be around to protect the young artist. He looked thoughtful for a moment, sitting in silence as he contemplated what exactly was going on in this head of his, and then shook his head bringing him back to the current conversation. "Oh...the tattoo. It didn't hurt that much...vell, it did, but it vos vorth it." he smiled, liking it when Reed called him strong. Kras was used to getting compliments and always said thanks to them...but a lot of the time they didn't have much of an impact on him. Hearing one coming from Reed though actually caused a squirmy, pleasant feeling in his stomach and he appreciated the compliment even more. He laughed at the textbook comment. "Yeah...unless you vant to expand your imagination and dream about potion making or Goblin rights - though those are both interesting topics - I'd stick to fiction and fantasy."

Post  Reed Dawson February 27th 2011, 5:55 am

Reed started to get worried when Kras sat in silence for a while. Did he say something wrong? Did Kras not like him?He couldn't figure out why the thought made him go into panic mode, but then Reed saw a look come over Kras' face that made that thought process stop dead in it's tracks. Reed had always been pretty good at reading people's emotions once he got to know them a little better. So when Reed saw a look in Kras that he could only describe as the look that matched how his insides felt, almost a little hopeful but also mixed with a pure contentment at the companionship, he couldn't help but grin to himself. Reed found himself laughing again, only a little more awkwardly at the mention of potions. "I hope to the Gods that I never dream of potions. If only you saw how horrible I am at that! Actually, I hope you never do see that because then you would probably run away screaming. And truth be told, goblins actually scare me a little. I know they've been wronged by wizards, and wizards have been tricked by them, but they still scare me and I hope that I never have to deal with one on my own." Reed tried to suppress a shudder.

"I can imagine it must be a difficult subject for you, considering the usage of knives and other sharp objects." Kras commented. "I vouldn't run avay screaming. Definitely not from you." he grinned. "Though if you'd let me, I'd gladly help. I'm not the best at the subject but I'm okay." he nods in agreement with Reed's comments about goblins. "I agree...they kind of scare me a bit too. I've heard they're really clever and tricky to deal vith."

Reed smiled at the offer. "That'd be great! But don't say I didn't warn you. If I were you I would wear full body protective gear. I almost spilled my potion last time on my favorite pair of Dolce shoes. It would have been disastrous." Reed nodded in agreement. "And I'm tricked really easily. Sort of gullible." He gave a sheepish sort of grin.

"Ah! Not the shoes!" Kras flails. "There's a charm for that too, I think. So if you did spill anything on them it'd just roll off. I know I read it somevhere." he made a mental note to look it up later. "Gullible, huh? You'll have to be careful or the meaner Slytherin's vill get you. Though - as horrible as it may be - it also vould give me a reason to come to your rescue." he grins. "I von't be vearing a Prince Charming suit though, so I hope my regular clothing vorks just fine." he'd pose but he's sitting and that doesn't work as well when you're sitting. So he just grins and chuckles, winking at Reed.

Reed felt his face getting hot again. He may not have any experience with it, but he could definitely tell that Kras was flirting with him. He started spluttering again and couldn't look at his new friend. He tried clearing his throat, and laughed awkwardly. "Um..Yeah, regular clothes...fine..no need to...won't talk...Slytherins.." Reed would be horribly embarrassed if he ever became the 'damsel in distress' although he knew it was pretty likely to happen with all of his accents.

Kras thinks Reed's quaffliness and spluttering is cute, but then he also feels sort of bad cause he thinks he's making Reed feel uncomfortable. Kras doesn't really have experience with flirting and it's effect on people so he's just sort of been going with the flow. Honestly he hadn't even really been aware that he was flirting with Reed at first. Words had just kept spilling out of his mouth and he had been going with it. The thought really hadn't occurred to him until now that Reed might not be gay or bi, and that he had just been blushing a lot because he was feeling awkward about all this. Well then...now Kras felt sort of embarrassed himself. What inner turmoil he was experiencing. Words were failing him for a moment so he just sort of sat there, staring off towards a bookshelf. Then he realized Reed was probably expecting him to say something again so he tried to think of something else to talk about. "Er...hold on, brain sort of zoned out." he laughed at himself, though it sort of fell a bit flat. "Um...dogs." he blinks at Reed. "Do you like dogs? I vos thinking about getting von, myself."

EEEEEEEEEEP!

Reed was still blushing and was looking at his hands, where he was twirling his thumbs around each other. He hated that he felt so awkward right now, and wished he could just figure out who he was. He knew he really liked being around Kras, but was it just as friends? Or was there something more there? Reed felt like he was about to combust from the awkward silence. Luckily Kras finally spoke, and Reed couldn't help but laugh a little at the subject. "Yeah. I like dogs. We've always had poodles since I was little. Of course, you don't really seem like the poodle type. I can see you having like...a huskie or something like that."

XD Had to throw in something interesting.

"Poodles, huh?" Kras chuckled, grinning. "I don't think I'm the poodle type. Huskies are lovely, definitely. I alvays thought Great Danes vere nice. Ve never had a dog, but I'm considering getting von now that I have my own place." He flailed, trying to not think about the awkward feeling he was getting now. It wasn't like he could just ask Reed either. Asking someone about their sexuality probably wasn't something you did right off the bat after meeting someone for the first time, right?

"Wow. Great Danes are huge! Then again, you're really tall so that may work. If I ever had a Great Dane it would be bigger than I am. I don't see that working very well." He laughed a little nervously. "I think cats are good companions, low maintenance and all that." Reed kept glancing up as he talked, but never really kept the eye contact longer than a couple seconds.

Kras laughed. "An aunt of mine used to have around ten cats. It vos ridiculous. Sometime ven ve vould visit it seemed like she had even more, and ve figured it vos probably because strays vould just valk in and she'd just let them." Kras will never forgive Mr. One-Eye (named for obvious reasons) for jumping on that bumblebee though. The poor innocent insect. It was just buzzing about on the tile of his aunt's porch, minding its own business. "Though I must admit...it's sort of terrifying ven a whole bunch of cats come at you at the same time, and they're making a lot of racket." He blinks.

Reed was really glad the conversation picked back up and the awkwardness was slowly dying out. "Wow. Ten cats would be a little much to handle. I think just one would be nice. Maybe two, so they'd be able to have a little friend. I know what you mean by racket too. My mom went through a bird phase. We had.." He paused as he counted the birds in his head. "Two parrots, three white doves, and one very large cockatiel. And by large I mean fat. That thing was lazy. It could barely fly, so it would sit there and chirp when it was hungry. Then someone would have to take it's food to wherever the stupid thing was sitting. Then one day all the cages were mysteriously opened along with a nearby window." Reed giggled innocently.

"That's a lot of birds and definitely a lot of noise." Kras laughed. He grinned at Reed's innocent giggle, thinking it was probably one of the most adorable sounds he's ever heard. "Mysteriously opened, huh? I'm sure those birds vere kind of glad to be free." Though it must have been hard for the fat one to get anywhere. "I like birds...but not seagulls." He frowned. "Ven I vos little ve vent to the beach vonce...and, vell, vith food you know..they like to attack sometimes." he blinks. Quite a traumatizing experience for a 6 year old.

Reed giggled some more. "Well, I wasn't there to see if the fat one made it out or not." He blinked innocently then let out another giggle. "Ooooh, that sounds scary! I, uh," He blushed as he thought about what he was going to say next. "I've actually never really been to a beach. Like, a proper one." This was embarrassing to him since he's been to practically every country, including the ones with the nicest beaches around. "We had a couple private beached before, but noone besides family was allowed on it. So I'd always have to go down with my nanny." Yes, Reed had a nanny for most of his life. His eyes lit up a little as he looked at Kras. "What are they really like?"

"A proper beach?" Kras sniffs and turns so he can lean closer over the arm of his chair towards Reed. "You, my friend," he lightly taps Reed on the tip of the nose with a pointer finger, grinning, "are missing out. They're lots of fun! Especially ven it's nice and sunny out. It's lots of fun to run around in the vater too, and collect seashells...though I don't know a lot of guys who do that, but," he shrugged, "I alvays like to pick up a bunch before I leave. I haven't been there in a vhile though, sadly. Maybe I should go this summer." he looks thoughtful for a moment, "hm, you should come vith me. It'd be fun. Ve could build sand castles and chase people and throw sand around...though not in peoples' faces. That's not a pleasant feeling, believe me." he frowns. Stupid cousins. Well, later on he knocked over their sand castle so revenge was had. Yep yep.

Reed smiled widely when Kras touched his nose. He would say that Kras was now the cute one, but 'cute' didn't do Kras justice. He laughed lightly and continues to smile. "That sounds like so much fun! I don't know how to swim, so I'd probably not venture into the water, but everything else sounds fun!" Of course he blushed at the thought of them going to the beach together, but he tried as hard as he could to not think of Kras shirtless. "Sand castles! That would be amazing! And I would never throw sand in people's faces. I wouldn't even be able to reach your face.." He giggled some more.
