"Aww, I could teach you how to swim." Kras grinned. "And even if that doesn't vork, I'd hold on to you so you vouldn't float avay. Cause you have to at least get in the vater vonce. Just to have the experience." He nods knowingly. "And I bet you could reach my face if you tried." he grinned.

Of course Reed started blushing again. "Well, I can just go in like to my knees..then I won't have to worry about floating away." Then he laughed. "Yeah, I could reach your face right now, since we are sitting...Seriously? How did you get so tall? I don't think I'll get much taller than I am now." He pouted like a little puppy. "My mum is pretty tall, for a girl. My dad is kind of short though. So I think I'm destined to be this little for like, ever." He sighed miserably.

Kras is pretty sure that with Reed's apparent tendency to fall a lot he'd probably fall and float away even if he only did go in only up to his knees. He laughs at Reed's question. "Honestly, I have no clue. I'm taller than both of my parents. Though I'm only taller than my father by about five inches. Little isn't all that bad though." he smiles reassuringly at Reed. "It's adorable. I vos never really adorable ven I vos younger. Around age ten I just sort of shot up and got all tall and gangly. So mostly I vos alvays skinny and awkvard." he shrugged. "I don't think it vos until fifteen that I finally stopped being all gangly. It probably helped I really started vorking out." he laughed. "You never know. Maybe you'll get a growth spurt von of these days and surprise everyvon."

Reed repeated Kras' words sarcastically, "Only five inches. And little is bad because everyone treats you like a child then! I don't really think I have a growth spurt coming on anytime soon. I guess I'll have to buy some stilts if we are going to be hanging out. That would probably make me fall more...Hey! Maybe it is good that I'm short! Then I'm a little closer to the ground when I fall, right? Well, it's a good theory. It still hurts though.."

"No...no stilts." Kras grinned. "You're perfect just the vay you are. And your theory is pretty good. Imagine if you vere my height and fell a lot." he flails. "I won't treat you like a little kid, you know." Kras smiled, touching Reed's shoulder comfortingly. He could guess it wouldn't be fun always getting treated like a little kid when you're trying to grow up and become an adult. "Though I really can't help it that I think you're adorable. You can be adorable and an adult at the same time though." he nodded vigorously.

Reed really needed to get used to being called adorably apparently, but he still blushed. "I think my face is going to explode soon if you keep saying that." That was a true fact. Reed really had never blushed this much in his entire life. Not even that time Calvin Klein complimented his outfit. "And I guess technically I am still a kid since I'm fifteen. But! I'll be sixteen in six months." He nodded like it was something to proud of.

Kras blinked. "Oh...oops. Vell, I don't want your face to explode." he flailed, blushing lightly himself. He leaned back so he was further away from Reed again, hoping that would help the younger boy's face to not explode. "But...it is true, you know. And you're not really a kid since you're a teenager and all...hmm, so...your birthday's in July?"

Reed smiled and nodded happily. "Yup! The eleventh!" And I now just realized I put his birthday as March on his bio, but votever. "I'm still trying to decide where I want to celebrate. We went to Paris last year. But, I'm thinking maybe somewhere warmer this year. I don't know, I've still got time to plan. Who knows, maybe it will all change this year, now that I'm making real friends! I just hope my mom doesn't make me do another showcase around the same time. That gets a little stressful."

haha...*still hasn't really done a bio for Kras, but his birthday on his FB says April 10th* so yeah...haha XD

"Hm..." Kras tilts his head, thinking for a moment, "vell, then if you do have free time around then you should come visit me and I'll take you to a lovely beach for your birthday. If you'd like to anyvay. And I vould really hope that your mother vould give you a break for your birthday. Especially this year since you're turning 16. 16 is supposed to be a great birthday, right? Or at least it is in the muggle vorld, I've heard. Vizarding vorld it's 17." he shrugged. He's not about to mention what he did for his 16th birthday - going to an amusement park all day and running about with some friends, acting like a little kid, is probably not all that impressive. Especially if he mentioned how he just had to get his picture taken with all the fuzzy mascot animals and sing little kid songs with them during karaoke hour. Yeah...he was glad he had some how managed to "lose" his friends right before that and catch up with them afterward and act all innocent, saying he'd just gotten lost.

Reed smiled and his eyes instantly lit up. "Really? You'd want to do that? I would love it!" He was still grinning like a loon as he kept talking. "Yeah, sixteen is big in the muggle world since that's usually when kids get their drivers license. I never wanted that though. Since I'm such a disaster on my own two feet, I couldn't imagine me being behind the wheel of a car. Plus, we've always had a driver available at all hours of the day to take us anywhere we wanted to go. And then, when I turn seventeen, I'll be able to apparate, so I won't even need a stupid 'ol driver's license. Right?"

"Of course I vould." Kras grinned, enjoying the way Reed's eyes had lit up. "And yeah...I suppose driving vould be an interesting activity for you. It's not that hard, but I only learned because my parents like making sure our family can fit in vith muggles. I think my license is lost somevhere in my apartment." he laughed. "Apparating is much more convenient. Though you better be careful to not splinch yourself." he grimaced. "I've heard it's painful."

Reed smiled some more at Kras' easy grin. "That's cool! So, are both of you parents wizards? I sort of grew up in the muggle world and was just home schooled by my father. He's a wizard, mum's a muggle. I always wondered what it would be like to grow up in the Wizarding world. I bet it was fascinating. I do enjoy having computers and televisions and my phone. I'm kind of going crazy here without one."

"Oh, yes, they are. I had a lot of exposure to muggle things though thanks to some of my relatives and my parents trying to blend in with muggles. So I'm kind of familiar vith televisions and phones. Not as much vith computers." he shrugged. "I guess it vould be kind of tough to deal vithout all that fun stuff ven you come here, but it's not all that bad." he grinned, stretching. He wondered what time it was. It sort of felt like they had been in here for ages but it probably had only be an hour or two. Being one who enjoyed having fun, Kras was quite familiar with the phrase 'time flies when you're having fun'.

"And computers make doing research a lot easier. It just makes it hard, since I'm used to speaking to my parents every single day. Now I have to use owls. But I still write everyday too, they were a little worried to send me somewhere where they couldn't reach me as easily. But I really wanted to come too, and look! I've already made two friends in my first two days. That's a good sign, right?" Reed was also unconcerned about the time, at least for the moment.

[Baaaack! ^^ It's all good. I'll be here till when ever my mom gets home. Then I'll probably have to do stuff for her since she's leaving Wednesday so I'll be a bit sporadic. *skips about*]

"It is a good sign." Kras smiled brightly, glad that he had came into the Great Hall when he had earlier. He'd gotten to be one of Reed's first friends here and got to be helpful and show him where the library was. "And it's good you don't have to vorry about being entirely cut off from contact to your parents. That'll definitely make things a bit more comfortable for you vhile you're still getting used to a new school and being avay from home."

Reed smiled happily and sat in silence for a moment. He was really happy with the new friend he made, no matter how confused it made him sometimes. He figured he had plenty of time to figure it out, Kras didn't seem like the type of person that would pressure Reed into any sort of confession that made him uncomfortable. Reed's eyes wandered around the library and he caught a glimpse of a clock. He gasped loudly and jumped up, smacking his knee hard on the table. "Ow! Crap, is that what time it is? I have so much work to do! I'm never going to finish now! Oh no! Oh no oh no oh no oh no!" He was about to go into panic mode.

[YAY!! *flails* I'M HERE TOOOO!!! Though at some point I have to take care of some stuff with mum but I'll still be around for a bit.]

Kras winced when Reed jumped up and smacked his knee on the table. He could sense his new friend going into panic mode and decided it might be a good idea to try and calm him down a bit. Kras stood and pulled Reed into a tight hug. "Hey, hey, calm down. It'll be okay." Hugs always helped, right? He kept an arm around Reed's waist and tilted the younger boy's chin up, smiling reassuringly. "You'll be fine. I'll show you how to get back to the common room, alright? Panicking von't help and you might get hurt more, and no von vants that." He lets go of Reed and goes to replace the books back. Then he joins Reed again and gestures toward the door. "Shall ve get going?"

I think Reed just had heart failure...

Reed was about to start pacing when Kras grabbed him into a tight hug. He stopped dead, unable to even speak. He froze even more when Kras lifted up his chin, and he could sense that he probably looked like a deer in headlights. He nodded weakly and distractedly when Kras let go of Reed's waist. He let out a meek "Mmmhmm." When Kras gestured to the door. Reed was praying that he would be able to walk straight right now.

I think Kras just had heart failure cause he's realized he probably just traumatized the poor boy for ages. He's headdesking and wondering if he should have just tried the whole 'slap in the face' approach...cause that calms people down too sometimes. *facepalm*

"Good. Now lets get you back so you can get some vork done, and get some sleep cause sleep is good." Kras grinned and took Reed's hand as he led him out of the library.

Don't worry. Reed will look back and realize he liked it...a lot.

Reed was staring at Kras as though he would disappear if he looked away. He had no idea what was going on inside his head right now, it was all a blur. He gripped Kras' hand tighter, knowing he would need help walking at this point.

Ted was behind the bookshelf looking for the book he needed. Upon finding it he headed to one of the back armchair things that every library has and settled himself down to write his useless charms essay. *cue Andi*

Andi scurried into the library. She was looking for a book, any book, to read. She would grab it and head back to Slytherin. She couldn't accidentally miss Evan. As she walked between the aisles, she saw Ted. She looked down, not wanting to make eye contact after he saw her so weak over her wedding.
