"I'm sure I'll love it," she promises, still stroking Luna's head affectionately. "You must miss her very much," she observes, because she was thinking it, and she can be rather tactless at times and does not censor herself as much as she probably should. She can't help but wonder what Luna's mother was like, and if Luna remembers every detail of her face, and if she still gets sad thinking about her.

Luna nods quietly, her mind briefly flickering to memories of her mother and what it would have been like to tell her about Hermione, and about her relationship with her new girlfriend. Of course her dad was wondering, but it wasn't the same as having a motherly figure around while growing up. "She would have liked you," she says softly, thinking of how much Hermione had in common with her mother. "She was brilliant with magic as well."

Hermione smiles sadly. "I'm sure I'd have liked her very much as well." She doesn't really know what to say, she's never lost a parent before and doesn't know what she'd want to hear, so instead she just kisses Luna to distract her from Hermione's own awkwardness, her fingers trailing up and down the smaller girl's bare back.

Luna is grateful for the kiss, glad to have something like this to get her mind off of unhappy things for a moment. She sighs happily as she feels Hermione's soft touch on her back, returning the kiss while she brings her hand up to gently rest on Hermione's cheek, lightly running her fingers across the smooth skin.

Hermione kisses Luna back hungrily, her eyes closed and her hands wandering freely over the warm, smooth expanses of skin at her disposal. Her hand is just creeping down towards Luna's arse to pull the smaller girl even tighter against her, when... Hermione's stomach grumbles. Loudly. Pulling away, Hermione grins sheepishly. "I think my tummy is trying to tell us something," she sighs, because she'd really rather stay here all day.

Luna giggles and sits up slightly. "I'm hungry too," she admits, though she really would like to stay here all day long where she can touch Hermione all she wants without having to worry about who sees them.

Hermione sighs. "Shall we head to the kitchens?" she says, because her tummy is growling rather a lot now, and the logical portion of her brain thinks that it's no good them staying in here forever if they have no energy to do anything anyway. With a gargantuan effort, she smiles at Luna and pushes herself up. A little self-conscious blush settles over her cheeks as she exposes herself by sliding out from beneath the covers, searching quickly for her clothing.

Luna smiles, admiring Hermione's exposed body for a moment before blushing and looking away to find her own clothes and begin getting dressed, herself. "That sounds good," she answered as she got out of the bed to finish getting dressed, standing and waiting for her girlfriend to finish.

Hermione dresses quickly and scoops up her bag, handing her girlfriend's to her with a little smile as well. She creeps to the door, peeking out into the hall to be sure nobody is there. The coast is clear, so she turns, kisses Luna one last time, and throws the door open wide for the pair of them to pass through. "Let's go get some breakfast, then."

Luna smiles at the kiss and pushes away the thoughts of what it would be like to hold Hermione's hands as they walked through the school, because that's not going to happen. Not anytime soon anyway. Maybe one day though. She smiles up at her girlfriend before they walk out into the hall, looking like two ordinary friends that have no romantic feelings for each other whatsoever.

His towel wrapped around his waist, leading Lily by the hand, Gideon stops outside the portrait entrance. "Wait here just a sec..." He said, before pacing three times in front of the portrait muttering to himself. Then, a door appeared; Gideon opened it, holding it open for her to enter.

Lily gives Gideon a bit of a 'what the hell are you doing?' look as he begins pacing back and forth, and is just about to ask if he's lost when a door appears where there was no door before. "Oh," she exclaims in surprise, smiling when Gideon opens it for her and passing through with curiosity etched on her face. Inside, the room is exactly what she needs right now - it's warm and dry, with a big fireplace like this one crackling away already.



Lily doesn't need to be told twice, she makes a beeline for it. She settles on the rug, waiting for Gideon to join her as she lets the fire slowly begin to warm her freezing limbs and dry her off. "What is this place? It's almost intuitive, the way it has everything I want," she comments, because all of a sudden there is a stack of fresh towels, fluffy and gigantic, next to her and she has no idea how they got there.

Gideon grins; the room was exactly as he had hoped. He also makes his way over to the fire, dropping his other towel down on the floor and picking up a new one, which he drapes over his shoulders as he settles into the thick rug next to Lily. "It's called the Room of Requirement. While you pace, you ask for what you want, and it gives it to you. Well, almost anything - it won't give you food. You feeling better now, then?"

"Well I guess that means hot chocolate is out of the question, then," Lily comments, a little disappointed. She can't really complain though, when she thinks about it, because the rug is soft, the fire is warm, and the company is good. Discarding her own sodden towel, she drapes a fresh one over her legs, her bare feet pointing directly towards the fire. "Much better," she assures him with a smile, grabbing the edge of his towel so it rests over her shoulders too - it's plenty big enough. "I can almost feel my toes again, I think. How did you find this place, anyway?" she asks, leaning slightly against him and wondering if this is another of those top secret you-had-to-be-there-or-be-a-Prewett-to-understand-how-awesome-it-was things. They sure are a tight family, because there's a lot of those things between them, it seems.

"Yeah, sorry, but it is. We'd have to go to the kitchens to get some, but I think we should stay here awhile." Gideon says, shifting against Lily so that she can be more comfortable. He reaches an arm around her waist, fingers stroking her hip absently as he wiggles his toes in the direction of the fire. "Well, someone showed it to Fabian and I when we were... We must have only been second years. It's come in handy, that's for sure," he says with a smirk.

"Definitely not moving for a while, at least," Lily says firmly. Even the lure of hot chocolate with the little marshmallows floating on top isn't enough to convince her to leave the circle of heat thrown out by the fire right now. All of a sudden she's keenly aware of Gideon's hand at her hip, but makes no move of her own to pull away even with the nervous flutter in her stomach, simply continuing to lean against him. Her head turns so that she catches his smirk as he mentions he's found good use for the Room of Requirement over the years. "I'll bet," she says wryly, a little grin on her own face.

Gideon feels Lily tense up a little, but is glad she's not moving. "Oh, come on. You think I was bringing girls here when I was 12? It's not the only use for this room, you know. It's also good for hiding from teachers, homework, and most importantly, Filch." He smirks again, and now that they're facing each other, he takes one of her hands in his spare one, and leans forward to press his lips firmly to hers.

All of Lily's witty - ok, maybe just sarcastic, but let's not get nitpicky - retorts about not putting it past 12 year old Gideon to be a little womanizer, or pointing out that there's little use in physically hiding from homework that isn't going to physically chase you anyway are swallowed when Gideon kisses her. For a moment, her eyes are still wide with surprise, but they quickly flutter closed and her fingers intertwine with his. Studiously ignoring her nerves, she braces her weight on her free hand to keep herself upright and kisses him back.

Well, Gideon didn't say he wasn't a womaniser, just that he didn't always use it for that purpose. Just clearing that up. Back in the present, Gideon's fingers continue to stroke Lily's hip as he pulls her a little closer. The towel around their shoulders slips onto the floor, but he leaves it there - between the fire and body heat, he is quite warm enough now.

Ah. Naturally. Thanks for clearing that up. Lily feels the towel slip to the floor and shivers ever so slightly, telling herself that it's the cold that has her shivering despite the fact that she's now pressed quite firmly against Gideon, and he is warm against her. Feeling a little off-balance with the slight change in her position caused by Gideon drawing her in, she moves her free hand from the ground to his shoulder, letting him hold them upright as she continues to lose herself in the kiss.

Gideon pulls away slightly to give himself a chance to breathe. After all, if he stops breathing he can't kiss her any more, can he? And Lily would miss that, he's sure. "You cold, babe? Because I can fix that..." He says softly, before leaning back in, slipping his hand from hers and putting it with the other, loosely wrapped around her waist, keeping them close.

Lily blinks as Gideon pulls away and she shivers again as she focuses on his eyes, very close and very blue. Her head nods briefly at his question, and she's too distracted by the hands wrapped about her waist to formulate a protest when he calls her 'babe'. "Still a little cold," she admits in a low mutter, because she refuses to allow herself to be nervous over just a little makeout session, her newly released hand resting on his shoulder. Deep down she knows that when he says he can help warm her up he isn't talking about simply moving closer to the fire or grabbing her a fresh towel and wonders if she should respond to that, somehow make it clear that she's in no way ready for things to get that intense between them yet, but he's moving back in and his mouth lands on hers once more without her even remotely having the slightest clue as to what she would even say. Kissing him like this is making it increasingly difficult for her to think anyway, so Lily gives up on it for now.

Inner!Gid is glad Lily stopped thinking, for a change. >.> Letting go of her waist with one hand, he reaches behind him, hand moving around to try to find another towel. He grabs one, and drapes it one-handedly over Lily's shoulders as best he can, and his hand returns to her waist. He is still kissing her, but now, he releases her mouth and begins to place small kisses along her jawline, down towards her neck.

Lily, her eyes still closed and her brain strangely lagging behind reality, is slightly surprised when Gideon's fumbling around results in a fresh, dry towel being draped loosely around her shoulders. Without her permission, a quiet little gasp sneaks out from between her lips when he moves his mouth along her jawline and one of her hands resting on his shoulder slides around to the back of his neck, fingers playing absently with the soft, almost-dry hair at the base of his skull.

Gideon hears the little gasp, and smirks a little through his kisses, which are now being trailed back up to her lips. He stops for a second as Lily begins to play with his hair, but then decides he needs to be a grownup about this, and simply continues to snog her as his hands begin to creep underneath Lily's shirt and up the smooth planes of her back.
