Roger leaned against the wall, doing the supercool and better smelling wizard equivalent of smoking. It's probably, like, drugged up sugar quills or something. Hell if I know. Anyway, he was standing there. Looking cool.

Penny rounded a corner, hefting her shoulder bag over her other shoulder. She wasn't paying too much attention and ran into someone. She looked up, startled "I am so sorry!" She paused and took a good look at the boy she'd just nearly knocked over and smirked a little. He was fiiiiiiiine. She laughed a little "Sorry about that, I can be a bit of a klutz." she gave him a smile.

[No prob! I'm looking at homework in between page refreshes, myself. Just looking at it, mind you. Haven't touched it yet.]

Roger quickly recovered his balance and gave the slightest hint of a smirk, because he's just too damn cool to make real facial expressions. "Trip over people often?" he asked, giving the distinct air of someone who is wearing a leather jacket, and therefore cannot be ruffled. The girl was pretty damn fine herself, actually. He decided to give her his name. Like, as a gift. For being foxy. "I'm Roger," he offered.

"Can't argue with that," he conceded. Roger has a very high opinion of himself. It probably comes from me thinking he's awesome. "So what brings you to this ~~neck of the woods~~ part of the school?" Roger chose that particularly hallway for its desertion, in order to enable his rule-breaking tendencies. It was a favorite haunt of his.

Penny shrugged and leaned up against the wall "just trying to get back to the common room without running into my brother. So I had to take the long way 'round. What about you? Not a lot of people in this part of the castle, could make someone suspicious" she smirked playfully.

Penny raised an eyebrow in interest. "Oh? Thanks for the warning." she grinned at him. "There's nothing wrong with my brother unless you like overbearing, psychotic, pain in the ass, trying to control your every move guys." She glowered at nothing in particular

"And I don't. Sounds like a pain. Aha! Here we are." A wayward Gryffindor first-year had wandered into his trap, and and interesting pattern of pustules was growing across his face, while his robes appeared to be melting. "Gotta get some more of that stuff. I wonder what happens when you mix it with this stuff." He pulled another vial out of his pocket. "Here! Kid! Got the antidote." It turned the pustules a royal shade of purple, and made his lips swell up. "I love potions," Roger said happily.

Penny put her hand over her mouth to cover the laughter. She watched as the poor kid's condition got worse and worse. "You think we should send him to the hospital wing?" She was a little concerned for the kid, but she thought it was funny nontheless.

"Not yet," Roger muttered out of the side of his mouth. "Sorry, kid, wrong vial. I forget what I've stolen sometimes. Here, try this one. Just rub it on, that's it." One of the pustules exploded with a bang. Roger fist-pumped discreetly. "All right, kid, get to the hospital wing. You've been a brave guinea pig, my friend." The dazed first year wandered to the end of the hall and looked confused for a moment. "Turn left, down three flights of stairs, and it'll be next to the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom!" he called out. "It's good to be back," he muttered to himself.

Penny couldn't help but laugh as Roger kept giving the poor kid more and more potions. After he was gone she looked at him "What house are you in? You can't be a Gryffindor or a Hufflepuff with that kind of devious attitude." She smirked

"Ravenclaw," Roger grinned. He only preened a little at the reference to his devious attitude. Those were the kinds of comments he was aiming for. "Which means I should probably know what I just gave that kid, but frankly, I don't care. And you laughed and didn't reflexively label the potions as I gave them, so you must be in Slytherin?" There's that Ravenclaw power of deduction.

[Definitely just added an e to the end of Slytherin. I think AVPM is getting to me.]

She smirked "Got it in one. Though Potions isn't my strong suit anyway. Much prefer Transfiguration. You surprise me. I'm not used to Ravenclaw troublemakers. But it's kind of hot."

Roger gave a mischievous smirk. "Yes, well, I do try. I haven't met the Slytherin with a sense of humor, so you're a bit of a first for me as well." He stepped away from the wall and started casually strolling down the hallway. It occurred to him that he might want to leave the scene of the crime if that first year had enough sense to remember his face.

"Yup," Roger answered, looking over his shoulder. "Are you coming, or are you just going to stand there and look put out?" He smiled to himself as he walked a bit slower to give her time to catch up, if she was coming. Hogwarts was much more fun than he remembered it.

Penny fought with herself for a moment. On one hand, she did want to follow Roger, but on the other, she kinda wanted to leave him wanting more. She was torn. "Put out? Please. Depends where you're going though. I'm not one to waste my time" though she did push herself off the wall and readjusted her shoulder bag.

And then they walked off into the magical indoors sunset, and completely ignored an unfortunate, purple-exploding-pustule-faced first year rushing past them to show Professor McGonagall who had given him the vials. Yayyy magic!

Lucius walks swiftly down the hall, holding his pimp cane up off the ground to avoid the annoying tapping sound it would normally make against the cold, stone floor. He sees that Weasley girl and sneers as he walks up behind her. "Ever get around to finishing that essay?" he asks in a voice that's far too friendly to be genuine.
