Re: A Random Corridor
"Really? You'd sit with me? I know I'm the new kid and all, but it sure would be nice to have at least one friend." He kept his head down. He couldn't deny that Dem was pretty, he just still wasn't sure of sexuality and it was extremely embarrassing for him. He assumed he would be able to figure this out by now, but he was more confused than ever. "I mean, you don't have to. You know, if you have friends and stuff."
Re: A Random Corridor
"Yeah, I'd love to sit with you! Why does it matter if you're the new kid? We're now friends, right? So, sitting with you would be nice" She says, looking at him with a small smile on her face. "I'm sure that my friends won't mind me sitting with you at all. I only have a few in that class anyway."
Re: A Random Corridor
Reed blushed even more. "Oh, you have more friends? Are they girls too?" Reed really hadn't had much, heck any experience when it came to talking to girls that weren't his mother. "And, uh, thank you for..being so nice and helpful. This place it super confusing and huge, I don't know ho you all do it." He looked around at all the people that still seemed to tower over him, even though Dem was in the same year as he was.
Re: A Random Corridor
"They are, but we don't have to sit with them if you're not comfortable with that." She said, looking at him to see whether he wanted to or not. Presonally, she hoped that he didn't because he seemed so interesting and she wanted to get to know him some more if she could. "Not a problem." She smiled. "I remember my first year and how big and scary this place seemed, so I know how you're feeling, but trust me, after a little while it won't all be so scary."
Re: A Random Corridor
Reed kicked his foot a little, only sending his balance off whack. "Well, I mean, I guess it's probably good to meet new people." He said it even though he knew how shy and awkward he was around other people. He gave a weak sort of smile, "It would have been nice to start here at year one. It's weird coming here after four years of education. It's also sort of weird being in a whole new country.." He shrugged a little, being in other countries was something that was all too familiar with.

Re: A Random Corridor
"Mmm, it is, it is. Well, I'm glad that you'll be meeting some new people!" She brightly said, glad that he wanted to be meeting new people even though he was shy, but a little dissapointed on the inside. Why did it matter though? She quickly pushed the thought aside. "I can't really imagine what it would be like to start here, but not be a first year. It must be different, but good, I think."

Re: A Random Corridor
"Yeah, it's uh..well it's confusing. This place his huge." He glanced down at his map again and became even more confused. He noticed he had some paint on his fingers and tried to scratch it off. "Wait, did you say you were in a different house? That's too bad." he absentmindedly brushed some more of his wild curls out of his face.
Re: A Random Corridor
"It is pretty confusing, but trust me, after a while, you get used to most of it. I still even get lost maybe once a week." She said with a small laugh, deciding that for now she wouldn't tell him about the moving staircases and lots of things like to change. She would definitely tell him, just not now. "Yeah, I'm in a different house, Gryffindor." She said with one of those sorry smiles on her face.
Re: A Random Corridor
Reed heaved a sigh ans started choking on air. He coughed for a while then cleared his throat. "Sorry about that." He blushed again and looked down. "So, um, you said the potions classroom is down that way?" He pointed down the corridor, hoping it was the right way.
Re: A Random Corridor
Dem looked down the corridor in the direction that Reed had pointed in. "Yeah, thats the way." She said with a small smile, turning back to Reed. "So, do you want to start making our way down there or hang up here for a little while?" Dem asked, not really minding either way.
Re: A Random Corridor
Reed smiled, "We should probably start heading right? I don't want to be late for my first class." Reed checked his balance before he started walking. He tried to be extra careful, not wanting to fall in front of all these people. "So, what should I expect from this class? Is it hard?"
Re: A Random Corridor
"Yeah, probably. We don't want you to be getting in trouble on one of your first days here." She says, smoothing down a loose strand of hair on her head. "Hmm... the class can be a bit difficult at times, but you have to follow the instructions given clearly so you don't get into any sticky situations and if you do that, you should be fine." Dem explains with a small smile and nod of the head. "Oh, and with the teacher, it's best that you follow instructions and don't argue. He'll only be harsh on you if you aren't doing the right thing."
Re: A Random Corridor
Reed nodded as she explained about the class. "Right. I'm really nervous now." He stumbled a couple times here and there, but he hadn't fallen yet so that was a good sign for him. "I think I'm going to need a tour guide for the rest of this day. Too bad we probably won't have all our classes together."
Re: A Random Corridor
"You don't need to be nervous, it'll all go brilliantly!" She informed him with a smile on her face, as there usually was. "Hmm... good point. I can show you to the classes that we do have and then I can find you a Hufflepuff that can take you to the classes we don't have together. How does that sound?" She asked, looking at him, waiting for a response.
Re: A Random Corridor
Reed couldn't help but laugh. "It sounds a little pathetic actually, like I need a babysitter." He laughed some more and added "But I totally wouldn't mind. I'm sure I can meet some at lunchtime. Don't the houses usually sit altogether?"
Re: A Random Corridor
"It's not pathetic at all! It's your first day of lessons, you can't be expected to know where everything is." She said, knowing herself that if it were her first day, she would try and figure everything out for herself but she wasn't Reed, she was Dem and Dem did things differently. "Mhm, there's five different tables, one for each of the four houses and on for all the teachers." Dem explained to Reed, absentmindedly twirling a little bit of her hair as she did so.
Re: A Random Corridor
Reed nodded some more. "And how do I know what table I'm suppose to sit at? Will I get in trouble if I sit at a different house table." Yes, he was having a bit of a panic attack. "There's so much to remember! Whoops!" He tripped on his foot again and bumped into Dem. "Sorry."
Re: A Random Corridor
"Oh, don't worry, it's fine." Dem said, who was getting used to Reed frequently injuring himself. "You'll know you're at the right table when you see people wearing the same robes as you." She informed him, pointing to the house logo on her robes. "And you won't get in trouble for being at a different table. You are supposed to sit at your house table, but you won't get into any sort of trouble unless it's a feast or something."
Re: A Random Corridor
"Right. So just look for other people in this hideous yellow color. Got it." He hated the robes he was forced to wear, but he'd be damned to be caught in those shoes. He had already planned out his entire weekend wardrobe, and was dying to get back into something Dolce.
Re: A Random Corridor
"Mhm. Thats the one." She said, looking down at her uniform. "I wish I could redesign the uniform. I would make it really cool and fashionable." She said nodding and hiding her non regulation shoes as she spotted a teacher. "It would be so cool if I could though.." She said, thinking to herself what she would make the uniform look like.
Re: A Random Corridor
Reed's entire face lit up and he stopped walking. "Wait, you're into fashion? Can I dress you sometime?" He had already made a mental note to call his mother right away and have her send everything she could. Dem was about to become a really lucky person to have Reed as a friend. "I have never had a girl as a friend before. Ooooh, this is so exciting! Oh! There's this new prada coat that would look fantastic on you!" He was on the verge of bouncing, which would be a bad idea for him to attempt.
Re: A Random Corridor
A wide smile spread across Dem's face. "Ohmygod, I am! And yes! Of course you can!" Dem said, practically jumping for joy and already excited about being dressed by Reed. That sounds sorta awkward. Maybe it's just me. >.> "Never? Really? You've never had a friend that's a girl? I don't see why not! Everyone wants a fashionable friend. And you're a really cool guy who's totally adorable!"
Re: A Random Corridor
As soon as she said the word adorable, Reed forgot how to speak. He spluttered incoherently for a good two minutes. Blushing furiously, he decided it was best not to acknowledge the compliment. "Umm. No, n-never. I was home schooled, remember? And we never really stay in one place for too long."
Re: A Random Corridor
Dem saw Reed blush. What did she do? Did she say something wrong? What if he thought she was really weird and didn't want to be friends? "Oh yeah, that's right. Now I remember. Do you think that you'll be at Hogwarts for a while, or just temporary until your mum gets a new job?" Dem asked, hoping that he was staying for a while because she loved meeting people that love fashion and are super dooper nice and adorable.
Re: A Random Corridor
Reed had finally collected himself and started walking again. "No, I think I'll be here a while. This job with Vogue is actually really great for my mom. And she loves London. So, we should be sticking around. I hope at least." Granted this whole school thing was really weird for him, it was still nice to be around people his age for a change.
