Reed is now blushing all the way to his roots. He just stared at the girl. "Wait, what?" He looked at her and saw that she seemed to be very serious. "Oh! No! No no no no! I'm sorry. I just. Um, well, I'm about one hundred percent sure that I'm g- a dolphin. And I wouldn't want to test something like that out before at least talking to Kras first. I don't want to hurt him. He's perfect and I don't want to make him sad. But. Um, thank you? For offering?" He was still insanely confused by this situation.

Tracey giggles, not really put out by his declining of her offer. "Okies. But if you talk to your dolphin fellow and he's alright with it you should totally remember my offer cause I don't think I'd mind getting the chance to kiss you." What? Tracey loves adorable things and people. Inner!Kras is shooting her evil looks...even though, if Reed did talk to him about it, he'd probably say okay because he wants to make sure and know that Reed is sure about himself and not second guessing things later and then getting all stressed out. "So I really think I should have been paying attention to the way we've been going cause I think I got lost a few turns ago and can't remember any of the walk. Oops."

Reed just shakes his head, but he didn't want to make Tracey feel bad. "Um, I guess I'll tell him about your offer then, and uh, see what he says?" He was planning on telling Kras this entire story, because it was rather funny, but Reed wouldn't even consider kissing anyone else. Then he realized he hasn't been a very good tour guide. "Oops. Sorry, I should have been pointing things out. But the Great Hall is right ahead. Sorry, I get distracted talking sometimes." Not to mention walking and talking at the same time for Reed was sometimes a little tricky, especially if he didn't pay attention to where he was walking.

"It's okay." Tracey giggles. "I get distracted too sometimes when I'm talking a lot. One time I nearly ran into a tree while walking in the woods around our house at home with my brother." She nods, amused at the memory. "Thanks for helping me out. Honestly I probably would have been wandering about for ages otherwise."

Reed smiles. "I don't mind at all! I like helping people and making new friends. I was home schooled before coming here, so I never really had that many friend. Plus living in a castle is pretty neat, even though I get lost a lot too. But I figure by the time I'm a seventh year, I'll know my way around here pretty well." He stopped walking when they reached the doors to the Great Hall, wondering if maybe Kras would already be in there. If not, he would continue his search for his boyfriend. He was in a little better mode after meeting Tracey, but his mother's letter was still floating around in the back of his mind.

"Oh, well isn't that charming! I was home schooled too for most of my life along with my brother. Trey didn't want to come here this year, unfortunately. I'll be graduating after this year but maybe he'll still consider attending for his sixth and seventh year. He's turning 16 this summer...he must be around the same age as you then, right? I think so...oh, I recognize this area." She nods, recognizing the doors to the Great Hall.

[OMG AHHHHH I HAD A BRILLIANTLY AWFUL IDEA OF WHICH I MUST PM YOU ABOUT RIGHT NOW. *skips off, already ignoring Kras' mad glares*]

Reed grins and nods. "I'll be sixteen this summer too! That would be cool if he did come and ended up in Hufflepuff since.." He cut because is throat felt suddenly dry. "Um, well Kras is leaving at the end of this year as well. So it would be nice to have more friends around, ya know? I guess Dem will still be here, so I always have her." He sighed when he thought about people leaving. He didn't want people to leave.

[Uh-oh! Now Reed is nervous!!!]

Tracey beams. "I'll make sure I mention you to him. Maybe that'll help convince him to stop home schooling and make it out into the real world more often. And then he'll be able to make some friends too." Tracey sighed, frowning slightly. Sure she had made a few friends while here, but her brother back at home still had literally no friends. It was sad. She'd have to write him later telling him all about Reed and his dolphin. "Aww, your dolphin is leaving you." She looked even sadder at the thought. "It'll be okay though. I mean...you can still send him fishy letters...you know, letters cut in the shape of fish? He might like that. I send those to my cat, Cordelian. He loves them."

Reed smiled some more at this kind of spacey girl. Heh. Spacey Tracey. Hehe. *ahem* "Yeah! Convince him to come here next year! Tell him I'll be his friend for sure! We can even be penpals before if he wants. And, I don't think fishy letters will work. I tend to ramble when I write, so I need a lot of parchment. But that's cool that you write to your cat. Does he or she write back?" Reed was trying to hold back giggles at his point.

OMG HAHAHAHA XD Spacey Tracey...oh dear, thank goodness she never went to a public school when she was little..I bet all the kids would have called her that. "Oh! I bet he'd love that. His handwriting is lovely. Though sometimes...I find his cursive a bit confusing. And yeah! My cat...he writes back sometimes. Most of the time I think he's too busy out catching tiny animals, which he really shouldn't be. Here, I just got a reply from him yesterday and it's been in my bag since then." Which she totally had with her the entire time. She digs a letter out, that is cut in the shape of a cat head, whiskers included, and hands it over to Reed. "See? He must have been busy cause it's rather short, but then again holding a pen must be difficult for him too. So that could be why he didn't write as much."

The letter read as such:
Lovely Trace,
I miss you. And I miss the fun times we have when you comb my hair, cause that feels really nice. Mummy has been neglecting the usage of the fireplace since it's been getting warmer. I do NOT approve. I still get cold, you know.
Trey sends his love too. He can't stop gushing over all those fun muggle video game things you got him for Christmas. It's kind of annoying really. I like my peace and quiet.
Anyway,
I love you and I promise to cuddle with you when you come home next!

"Isn't it lovely? What a nice cat." Tracey beams. She has no idea that the lady who comes every other week to work on their garden writes the letters from Cordelian to her. Tracey really does believe her cat writes the letters.

Reed stares at the letter, reading it quick. He figured Tracey's mother must be the one writing it, because it just was not possible for a cat to hold a pen. Again, he didn't want to burst her bubble of happiness, so he smiles lovingly at the letter. "It's beautiful! You two sound like you're pretty close. That's really nice. And tell your brother he can write to me if he'd like! I've got really neat handwriting as well, that's from being an artist I think, who knows. My last name is Dawson, Reed Dawson, if he wants to send anything here." He was blushing for some reason.

"Thanks! It makes me sort of homesick though when I get letters from him. So I always promise him that I'll bring him the most special cat treats ever when I come home to visit." She nods. "You're blushing again, Reed Dawson. I think that's the cutest thing." Tracey grins, leaning over - since she was slightly taller than him - and giving him a quick kiss on the cheek. "Thank you again for escorting me to the Great Hall. I think I can make it to the dungeons from here. You and your dolphin are both so nice. I'll write to Trey tonight and tell him about you, okies? Okay, off I go! See you later!" She waves as she turns and heads out the front door of the castle. Quickly realizing her mistake, she pauses and then turns around, giggling to herself as she makes the correct turn and heads on off to the dungeons.

Reed spluttered a little when he was called adorable, then froze when she kissed his cheek. Well, she was probably the nicest Slytherin Reed has ever met. "It was my pleasure Tracey! Hope to see you again soon! Bye!" He started waving like a dork, then tilted his head to the side when he saw her heading for the doors leading outside. He smiled and waved again when she corrected her direction. He giggled to himself then quickly popped his head into the Great Hall, searching the 'Puff table for any signs of his boyfriend. When he didn't see Kras, he sighed then went on in his search for the elusive Bulgarian.

Ted was walking down the hall and saw Andi. He stepped from the shadows and waved to her, "Hey Andi, hey. I haven't seen you in a while. How are you?"

Andi ducked her head, avoiding his eyes. She didn't know how to act around people, or so it felt these days. She had been so strange around Cissy, pouring out emotions like nobody's business. And that wasn't how she was. And ted had already seen her at her weakest, but she didn't want to be weak anymore and she didn't want to act emotionally. She just wanted to feel more centered and grounded. She probably should answer his question, she realized with a start. "Oh, I am... fine. You?"

Ted smiled at her, knowing she was anything but fine but glad to see her out of her dorm at last. "I'm doing alright. Where were you headed to?" He wished he knew what to say to make her feel better, or at least distract her from the awful things that had happened.

"I was headed..." Andi hesitated. She wasn't sure where she was headed. She was just going somewhere, somewhere to get out of Slytherin, get away from all the memories hidden in the dark corners of the House. "I am just wandering." She wasn't sure why she made herself available. But, Ted was nice and kind, and he had always helped her out when she needed it. So, why not? He was good for her. "Where are you headed?"

Ted shrugged, "I was thinking about heading to the kitchens. Transfiguration meeting ran late so I'm starved. Do you want to come with me?" He figured a casual dinner in the kitchens was better for her right now than the great hall and hopefully this would lead to something more between them.

Andi took a moment to think, letting Ted's question linger in the air. She knew she didn't want to go to the Great Hall, didn't want to risk seeing Evan, didn't want to sit at a table where everyone pitied her for screwing up her life. At the same time, she was worried about being alone with Ted, even if she knew that he wouldn't try anything. She bit her lip, maybe I'll just ask the house-elves to fetch Bitsy for me, she works for us here, she thought. With that in her mind, she made her decision. "Uh... sure. Why... why not." She meant for the last part to come out as a sentence, but her voice faltered and it ended up a statement.

Ted gave her a small smile and walked with her towards the kitchen, careful not to walk too close to her so she had more space. He didn't want to push anything with her or make her any more skittish than she already was. Walking through the pear he looked at her for a second, "Okay what do you want?" He walked behind the stove and over to the fridge, "I'm cooking."

Justin walked down the hallway, a letter from his little sisters in his hand and his book bag on his back. Feeling nostalgic, he hummed one of the songs he used to sing with his sisters when they were little.

Parvati was walking down a random corridor as she saw another boy walking down it in the other direction. She paused as she heard him humming and smiled slightly to herself. She always seemed to do that, hum to herself and for some reason it made her smile when she saw others do it. "Hi, you're quite the hummer, aren't you?" She asked him with a small grin.
