And now Luna will wake up and Dean can post to this whenever. Mhm.

Luna shifts slightly in Dean's arms as she begins to wake up, her eyes opening as she tries to figure out where she is and how she got there. She lets out a quiet, shaky sigh as all the memories of yesterday's events come back to her, and glances up at Dean, her best friend who had stayed with her all night just because he knew she needed someone to hold her and comfort her. She rubbed her eyes that were looking rather red from all her crying the previous day and rested her head against Dean's chest again, waiting for him to wake up.

OH HEY LOOK. IT'S DEAN!

Dean wakes up as soon as he feels Luna start to move. He had no idea when he had fallen asleep, probably sometime when he was humming. He brushes some of Luna's hair aside and kept his arm around her. He mumbled a sleepy "Morning." Then he cleared his throat. He didn't want to ask how she was, knowing she was probably still in a lot of pain. "Are you hungry? Thirsty? I can get you something if you want."

Luna looks up at Dean and shakes her head, not really in the mood to eat or drink anything. "No," she replies back quietly. "Thanks though." She glances around at the little alcove, feeling bad that Dean stayed with her because it's not the most comfortable place to spend the night. "Sorry...I didn't mean to fall asleep on you," she apologizes softly, hoping that Dean wasn't sore or anything from sleeping in here.

Dean did in fact have a sore neck, but he really didn't mind, or really notice. "It's no problem at all. You need a...friend right now. I'm just glad I was the one to be here for you." He gave a weak smile. "Ar--are you feeling any better?" Stupid question. Boys are dumb.

Luna attempted to return the smile, though it looked forced and it didn't last long. But she was grateful for having a friend like Dean to go to when she was feeling this way. She sighed and shook her head in reply to his question, knowing that now was not the time to lie and say everything was fine when everything was far from being any better. "I'm glad you're here though," she admits quietly, feeling as though she didn't deserve Dean's kindness as she rested her head against his shoulder.

He put his arm around her again and patted her back softly when she leaned into him. "I'm glad I am here too." He didn't know if trying to comfort her would make things any better for her. He knew when people tried to comfort him when he was upset, it didn't really work. But he couldn't just let her go and think she wasn't worth anything. "Luna, I just want you to know, you are an amazing person. You are beautiful, caring, smart, and funny. I know you may not believe me right now, but it's the truth." And he would say that even if he wasn't madly in love with her.

Luna didn't have the energy to tell him he was wrong, even though deep down she knew he really meant all those things. Hermione had said nice things to her as well, but she didn't know what that meant anymore now that she realized Hermione didn't feel the same way as Luna had. Rather than saying anything, she just nodded and continued leaning against her friend, closing her eyes as she focused on his hand movements on her back. "If you have somewhere you need to go, then you can leave," she offered quietly, knowing she wouldn't go back to her dorm anytime soon. There was something about it that just made her feel lonely in there. "I don't want to keep you from anything."

He shook his head. "No. I'm going to stay right here as long as you need me." He nodded once. He really didn't have anywhere to be. Except classes, but he didn't like going to those anyways. "I'll go if you want me to though." He was saddened by that thought, but if she wanted to be alone he understood.

Luna quickly shook her head when he suggested her wanting to leave, not realizing that she was clinging to his shirt slightly. She loosened her grip on the fabric but kept her arms around him, not having the energy to hold her friend tightly anymore. "No, I don't want you to leave," she tells him, knowing that other than Ginny, she has no one else to go to. She wasn't really close to anyone in this school, and Dean was the only one she felt comfortable with speaking to about this.

He wrapped his arms around her a little tighter. "Then I will stay right here." He knew there really wasn't anything to say at this point. He started to quietly hum the lullaby from last night again. It was soothing to him, and hoped it would be for her as well. So, he just sat in silence and hummed. If she wanted to talk, she would when she was ready. He wasn't going to push her into it.
