A Hidden Alcove - Page 23 Empty Re: A Hidden Alcove

Post  Parvati Patil February 14th 2011, 7:01 am

"I don't know. It looks pretty cool and intense and if it was McGonagall's I feel like it would need to be something other than just a necklace." She said with a slight shrug. When he said they would need to be standing nice and close she grinned at him and stayed nice and close to him when he pulled her towards him. She smiled at him as his forehead was pressed against hers. "I don't mind in the slightest." She said with a smile as she placed one of her hands lightly on his chest, the other holding the strange shiny necklace in it.

He couldn't help but to grin when she said she didn't mind. "Good, because I would hate to think you're getting sick of me," he murmured with a teasing tone. He stared into her eyes for a moment, his nose lightly nudging hers before dropping his mouth to claim hers. The kiss was tender and sensual, his tongue not demanding in the slightest as it entered her mouth for the briefest of moments. He pulled his mouth away, placing quick kisses along her jawline as he soon zeroed in one of his favourite places, her ear. Sure, it was evil, but he loved the reaction he received. After dropping a soft kiss to her earlobe, he soon nibbled on it lightly. "Mmm, sorry," he whispered into her ear. He didn't stop his administrations though, soon taking her earlobe between his lips.

"Never." She said quietly and then smiled into the kiss as he kissed her and leaned up towards him. She tilted her head slightly as he kissed her jawline. When she felt his lips get close to her ear she wasn't really thinking about what he was going to do. And then his lips were touching her ear. She let out a soft gasp as she leaned forward slightly, leaning up against him. When he nibbled it she closed her eyes tightly, he always did this to her and even though it was a bit evil, she would admit any day that she loved it. When she felt his lips around her ear she couldn't help but let a small moan escape her lips as she fiddled with the necklace in her hand. She spun the small nob on the side of it quickly out of shock since her fingers were already holding if before, causing the tiny hourglass in the center of the necklace to spin quickly.

Melanie is here, sitting on a little bench built out of the wall, reading a book on transfiguration.

Teddy was walking by when he spotted a girl reading a book on transfiguration. She looked a little confused so he decided he'd try to help her out. "Want a hand with that? Transfiguration is my best subject." He offered as an explaination, walking up to her.

Melanie looked up as a boy asked if she needed help with it, he looked like he could possibly be a seventh year so she might actually know know to achieve what she was working for. She highly doubted it though because whenever she told anybody about her special project with Ted they just looked at her like she was a crazy nerd. "Have you ever studied to become an Animagus?" She asked curiously. "That's what I'm working on. I want to learn how to do it."

Teddy blinked in surprise. His fathers best friends had all been Animagi, but it wasn't as if he had talked to any of them. "I haven't studied it, no. But I'm sure I could find something, if you really wanted." He was sure that his dad had recorded how his friends had did it somewhere, "This isn't for school, is it." He phrased it as a sentence. Being in seventh year and never having learned it, he knew that it wasn't.

Melanie wasn't all that surprised when he said that he hadn't studied it for most kids in school hadn't bothered studying it yet. It wasn't required after all. She shook her head when he asked if it was for school. "No, me and another boy in my year are just doing it as an extra project." She said with a small nod. "We both want to become Animagi so it's kind of like a research project." She said and gave him a small smile. "I'm Melanie by the way." She said, reaching her hand out to him.

Melanie, that rang a bell. He was reaching out to shake her hand when he remembered, Claire's sister. All of a sudden he was nervous to introduce himself, worried about what Claire might have told her. He decided to just act normally, "I'm Teddy. You're Claire's sister, right?" And then he took a closer look at her. Claire really had been telling the truth when she said they looked nothing alike. Besides a few characteristics, he couldn't see any resemblance at all. It was no wonder he hadn't noticed it right away. He gestured to the spot next to her on the bench, "Can I sit?"

Melanie took his hand in hers lightly and then pulled it away after a moment. She nodded. "Yeah, you know Claire?" She asked curiously, she honestly had no idea who Claire hung out with. She didn't really ever talk to Claire since they started going to Hogwarts. When he asked if he could sit she slid over on the bench a little bit and nodded. "Of course." She said smiling at him.

Teddy sat down beside her and thought about his answer. Clearly, Claire hadn't mentioned him. He decided that saying little was probably the best course of action, "Yeah, we've hung out a few times." He told her truthfully, "She happened to mention you." He shrugged, thinking about the last time he had seen Melanie's sister.

Melanie was almost jealous of this Teddy fellow for getting to see her sister more than she did. "Oh, that's cool." She said with a small nod. "What did she say about me exactly?" She asked curiously. She hadn't seen her sister in forever so she was curious as to what her sister told people about her.

Teddy shrugged, "Not much, just that you'd been busy lately and she hadn't seen you much. She said that you two were really close." Now it was his turn to feel a little jealous, wishing that he had a sibling to have that kind of bond with. Al and James were close, but it just wasn't the same.

Melanie nodded. "Yeah, I haven't seen her in like forever." She said, trying to think of the last time she actually saw her sister. "Not since like the first day we transferred here." She said with a slight shrug. "I'm sure I'll see her soon though." She said as she turned slightly to face Teddy more. "So are you like her boyfriend or something?" She asked, curious to know if her sister had a boy in her life.

Teddy blinked, surprised that Melanie would be so blunt about asking it. Weren't girls suppose to be all confusing about things like that? "Well, it's complicated." He admited, "We did go on a date, but... It's just really complicated." He shrugged, "How could you tell?"

Melanie shook her head and smiled slightly when he said that it was complicated. Of course a relationship that Claire was in would be somewhat complicated, probably because she always pretty much kept to herself. When he asked how she could tell she just shrugged lightly. "I don't know. You're a boy and you know my sister and she told you about me so I figured there was a chance."

Teddy nodded, figuring it would probably be better for Claire to tell her sister about them... whatever they were. So he changed the subject, "So why do you want to learn about becoming an Animagus? If you don't mind me asking." He looked down at the book she was still holding and wondering what kind of Animagus Melanie would be. Or better yet, what kind of Animagus he would be.

Melanie just gave a light shrug. "I don't know. I guess just because it's a challenge." She said with a small nod. "I like challenging myself a lot of the time and people always talk about how becoming an Animagus is pretty challenging." She said as she gave him a small smile. "It also gives me something to do when I am not in classes." She said with a light shrug. "I don't have many friends so it's nice to have something to do when I am not doing schoolwork."

Post  Molly Prewett March 30th 2011, 2:02 am

Molly is here, which is strange because this is not a kitchen. Anyway, she's here, curled up on the stone bench and trying to distract herself from her breakup blues with a rough draft of the cookbook she's been putting together in scrapbook formation so that she and Ted can start setting things in order for it. She's also got a container of cookie dough next to her, since Gideon was so adamant that she not consume her body weight in sugar.

Ted was walking down the hall and saw Molly sitting in a corner looking reasonably miserable. He walked over and picked up the container of dough to make space for him to sit down. He settled next to her and put an arm around her shoulders, "Why do you look so sad Molly?"

Molly looks up and smiles -not her usual gream by any means, but still a smile- as Ted slips an arm around her. "Hey Ted. Broke up with Kingsley," she says bluntly, and reaches for more cookie dough. "It, like, totally sucks, but that's life or whatever."

"What I want is my cookie dough," Molly tells Ted, although she returns the half hug gratefully. She reaches out, stretching as far as she can to get the dough back. "Guess so. Y'know, since I, like, always talk. He got a super awesome offer from the Ministry with an option to graduate early, and that's that. He's gone," she sighs.
