He looked at her, he could answer honestly, or he could just make something up. He had a pretty strong feeling she didn't eat breakfast, or lunch, or at all really. He stared at her for a few moments and then looked back out on the lake. "You skipped breakfast." he said calmly.

She stared at him. "Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Why would I skip breakfast?" She did actually eat lunch. A banana and a lot of water...

He took a step and stood in front of her. He moved his hand under her chin and lifted it up to make her look into his eyes, but not in a romantic, I love you way because Marcus could never love someone. "Okay. What did you eat then?" He asked. "And don't lie to me. I can see right through a liar ~~through everything but your heart.~~"

She stared into his eyes, counting all the colors in them. She had her answer ready. "I had some toast and some eggs, scrambled. With water. No more dehydration for me." She smiled sweetly at him.

He stared at her in shock. "Oh.." He said and dropped his hand. He turned and continued to walk. He could see a tree in the distance. He knew it was the tree that he told the first year to put the goods under and that is where he was headed. "So...how was your shower yesterday?" He asked like it was a normal thing to ask.

She would have blushed, but was no longer able. If anything, she became more pale. "My shower was fine. But you should know, you're the one stalking me." She smirked at him. "Are we heading somewhere on this lovely stroll?"

No. He couldn't tell her. She would turn around and walk away. "No place really in specific." he said with a shrug. "Just sorta....walking." He said and gave her a small smile. "Why? You got somewhere to be? Some guy to shag?"

"Yeah I know...I saw that guy follow you into your shower last night." he said and smirked at her. "From what I heard it sounded like you two were having fun if you know what I mean..." He said raising his eyebrows at her.

She stopped walking and stared at him, clearly embarrassed but not blushing. "I..that's..That's not funny! I don't....Never.." She looked down then continued walking.

He laughed and grinned at her. "I thought it was pretty funny." He said as they finally reached. "The Tree". He walked over to it and sat down in front of it, hoping she wouldn't just leave him there to sit by himself.

"Having a picnic." He said like it was nothing. There was no way she could get out of this one. He opened up the bag and removed a few containers. "This is my favorite salad ever. I get it in Hogsmeade and it's just...the best." he says, opening the container.

Her eyes widen as he pulled out the picnic set. "I. I just ate." She shook her head. "Feel free to though, I'll keep you company." She didn't even look at the salad.

He shook his head at her and scoffed. "Oh yeah? That's what I am being? NO!" He said, standing up and looking straight at her. "I'm being the person that is trying to keep my best friend from dying!" He said, not really realizing he had said it.

She was stunned into silence. She spoke much more gentle. "What are you talking about?" She stared right into his eyes.
