Re: The Quidditch Pitch
Angelina listens to Jack's explanations. "Right. So, people will assume something, and you'd prefer for them to think that you are better and worked harder on the Pitch than you did. But what if that comes back to bite you? What if they expect you to be amazing, and you're not? Won't you get more attention then, but it be worse?" Then she blushes again, a little. "I'm glad you think so..." She says, and it's certainly the truth.

"You know, you'd think that would've happened to me a bit by now, but it really hasn't," Jack shrugs, not seeming too concerned as he walks Angelina into the castle. "And face it, if you give someone the option of wanting people to think better or worse of them, they're always going to hope for the best. It's human nature or something.

Re: The Quidditch Pitch
Angelina smiles. "This is true. I suppose I'd want people to think the best of me - to be honest, I don't even think about that at all. I just figure that if people don't like me, they don't like me, and that's their loss not mine." She shrugs. She's never set too much stock by other peoples opinions - unless they are talking about Quidditch, in which case she is most definitely listening to their opinion.

"Well, that is most definitely true - it would definitely be their loss," Jack says. "It's good that you don't let other people's opinions hold you back. I like that. I mean, just because I like to put the best image out there, I'm not going to be stopped from doing whatever I like just based on what other people think," he shrugs, because most of his best moments have come as a result of not listening to what other people want him to do. "Imagine all the awesome things I would have missed out on," he says, half to himself.

Angelina grins and perks up as she hears his last sentence. "Awesome things? What awesome things?" She asks, as they climb a set of stairs together towards the entrance to Gryffindor Tower.

Re: The Quidditch Pitch
Jack glances at Angelina out of the corner of his eye as they turn down the final corridor to the portrait hole, regarding her. He likes her, and Jack isn't ashamed of his past and would never lie about it if asked outright, but he doesn't know if this is the right moment to be completely candid about his exploits. So, instead, he smiles winningly and tosses a wink at the Fat Lady as they arrive. "Well if I told you all of those stories now, what would I save up for later dates?" he smirks. "Of which I would like, Miss Johnson, because I for one had a great time learning the ancient art of flying with you."

Re: The Quidditch Pitch
Angelina has no idea how she would deal with the myriad of things which she is sure Jack has done, which are going to be completely overwhelming to her. In reality, she has absolutely no idea. And she will probably not deal with it well, to be honest. "That is true, I suppose." Then she colours a little again, slipping her hand back into Jack's. "As if you can get rid of me now."

Re: The Quidditch Pitch
Jack will deal with it as it comes up. He knows he might scare her off, and it worries him, but he doesn't want to pretend he's something he isn't, and he can't change his past. For now, though, he is not thinking about that at all, but is rather preoccupied with how pretty Angelina looks, and how her hand feels nice in his. "That's what I like to hear," he murmurs, then leans down to kiss her farewell. It's a brief kiss, only a few seconds and gentle, he doesn't want to spoil what has been a fairly well perfect date by being too pushy right at the end, after all. "I'll see you soon, I hope?"

Re: The Quidditch Pitch
Angelina will try and move past it as fast as possible, but can obviously make no guarantees about her reaction or reaction time. When he kisses her goodbye, she leans into it a little more than before before he pulls away. "You hope? You should be a little more sure than that." She says, before repeating her process from the Pitch earlier, leaning up to kiss Jack again, only this time, she doesn't pull away immediately.
[Jack, do with that what you will, but be aware that if he pushes Angelina, she will slap/storm off/not want to see him again.]

Re: The Quidditch Pitch
Jack just grins, satisfied by Angelina's response, and pleasantly surprised as she moves back in to kiss him. He stays light and gentle, still mindful of the very new and fragile nature of their relationship, kissing her back without placing too much pressure on her lips, and without trying to gain his tongue entry to her mouth. He brings one hand up to her cheek, touching it lightly, and then pulling his hand away again.

Re: The Quidditch Pitch
After another moment, Angelina pulls away, but her movements are slow and her hand is still in his. For a moment, she just looks at him, but she still doesn't move - she is really perfectly happy right now, and actually, she doesn't really want to leave. Then she giggles, a little self-consciously. "So, seeing as we've apparently said goodbye, I should probably go now, right?"

Re: The Quidditch Pitch
The sound of Angelina's giggle makes Jack smile again. He stands with her, still close, hand still closed around hers. "I'm pretty sure that's how it's usually done," he agrees, but hesitates too. "Right," he says slowly, "This is the part where I turn around and go back to my own common room, isn't it?" Even then, it is still a couple more seconds before he steps back, their joined hands lingering in the distance between them still.

Re: The Quidditch Pitch
Angelina giggles again, but more softly, as Jack speaks. "Yeah, I think it is," she says, and with what feels like a great strength of will, she lets go of his hand and opens the Portrait Hole turning in the doorway [portraitway?] to smile at him again, before turning around and heading into Gryffindor Tower.

Re: The Quidditch Pitch
Jack just watches, smiling, as Angelina removes her hand from his and disappears into Gryffindor Tower. After just standing there a few seconds longer, he smirks and winks at the Fat Lady, then turns and wanders back to the Ravenclaw common room. And so the adventure begins again, he thinks to himself as he goes, his mind on Angelina and a smile on his face.

Victoria walked out to the pitch to wait for Jenna, who she knew wouldn't be out for a while, when she saw a girl painting her nails.
Re: The Quidditch Pitch
Rose looked up when she saw someone walk onto the pitch. "Hey," She called out, not expecting to see anyone out on the pitch today, she didn't think there was a practice scheduled. "Do you need to practice? I can move."

"No! It's fine, you can stay. My friend and I are flying around because she wants to prove she can wake up earlyish on a Saturday. I love your nails, by the way." Vee said.
Re: The Quidditch Pitch
"Thanks!" Rose beamed, "This is actually my favorite color." She noticed the Hufflepuff colors on the girls robes and figured it could be fun to see what the Hufflepuff Quidditch players could do. "Are you on the team?" She asked, nodded at the colors, "Or do you just like to fly?"

Re: The Quidditch Pitch
"I'm not on the team. I just play for fun, but next year I'd like to try for seeker. How about you?" Vee asked. "Wait! I haven't even asked you your name! Or told you mine! I'm Victoria Black, but I prefer Vee. I don't know what it is with my family and dusty old fashioned names!" She rolled her eyes.
Re: The Quidditch Pitch
"I'm not on the team either, I just play because my dad makes me." She realized that cast her dad in a bad light and hurried to correct herself, "He use to be a keeper, so he taught me chaser to try and score on him. I might try out for the team next year, I haven't decided yet." She laughed when Vee made fun of her own name, a habit Rose had as well. "My name's Rose. I would shorten it if I could, believe me. I don't know what's up with people and flowery names."

Re: The Quidditch Pitch
"I'd prefer Rose, believe me. My mum INSISTS on calling me Victoria. I feel like an elderly queen or something. My mum is a bit old fashioned... I suppose it runs in my family." Victoria half smiled. "I wish my father was a keeper. My immediate family doesnt like quidditch. They don't like much, actually." Vee said in an exhausted tone.
Re: The Quidditch Pitch
Rose gave a sad smile. She had heard a lot of these stories during her time at Hogwarts: families expecting too much and ending up disappointed. She couldn't imagine her own family like that, so it was hard to empathize with others. "Well, at least you have Hogwarts, right?" She said, "Everyone finds a home here. And I hear Hufflepuff is a particularly accepting house."
