Molly laughs, because everything seems happy and amusing to her right now. "Speaking of kitchen time, how are your brother's 'dancing food' aspirations coming along? I hope he's not thinking of food that has, like, toothpicks stuck in them because that could totally get dangerous!" OhGod Arthur, just don't ever compare dating Molly to a project out loud because I do not even want to know how she would misconstrue that. >.>

Arthur is an idiot who likes to compare most things to building because it's easier on his poor, male brain. "Well, not much has happened since I last talked to him. The chef has got the beginnings of a menu settled, but that's not Billy's biggest worry. He's getting some opposition from some local business owners, mainly the pureblood ones, who don't like the idea of a gay bar. It's really sad," Arthur says.

Molly's face falls into a sympathetic frout. "Oh well that, like, totally sucks. A bar is a bar, so whatever. Just because it's a gay bar doesn't make it any different. Except that it, like, won't be nearly so dingy as all the pubs and stuff around there!" she says, angry on Billy's behalf at the stupidity of intolerance.

"It really is awful. And Billy will keep everything nice; it'll definitely be clean and very nice. People can be really stupid and ignorant sometimes," Arthur says. "And they're very rude too, in how they are treating Billy. It's not right." Arthur didn't like getting tear stained letters from his older brother, telling him about all the vandalism done to the bar. Of course, the culprits were never caught, for it was done at night by people in masks.

Molly's lower lip trembles a bit. "That's awful!" she says, her eyes burning at the injustice of it all. "Well, ohmyGod whatever, this summer we'll just make sure Billy's is, like, the coolest place in Diagon Alley and all those jackasses can, I don't know, suck it." She nods decisively.

"Yeah," Arthur says, happy that Molly supports his brother and cares for his ideas. "Though he doesn't know what he wants to call it her. Probably something after a magical creature, like Dragon's Den or something. His plan is to have Ron and I give him our ideas for names anymously and he'll pick his favorite. He'll probably choose Ron's because Ron names everything after magical creature."

"Well I bet your ideas are, like, super creative and interesting," Molly says with a nod. Arthur always has the best ideas. "Because everyone names their bar after animals and whatever. Like, hello, The Hog's Head? Just tell Billy it's tacky to go with animals or something, that would totally change his mind!"

"Thanks, though I'm not sure I do. Do you have any suggestions?" Arthur asks, knowing that Molly's idea had to better than his. "I was thinking something to do with the decorations, but I don't want to call it the Tacky Cheetah Shack. I mean, the decorations are a bit much, but the actual environment is actually very relaxed and fun."

Molly tilts her head to the side and twirls the end of her hair around her fingers. Ah, the Classic Molly Prewett Thinking Pose. "I totally don't know! I mean, I was going to say something, like, Billy's Ballroom, but given that it's a gay bar that might kinda send the wrong message or whatever," she shrugs.

*Arthur would like to apologize to Molly for not replying sooner and blames on the idiot whose head he lives in. The idiot whose head he lives would like to inform him that I do have tranquilizer cookies in stock and that I can show him more grandchidlren smut.*

Arthur nods in agreement. "I know. Plus it's Billy, so it has to classy and tacky at the small time," Arthur says, summarizing the entierity of Bilius Weasley. "You should definitely stop by some time during the summer and see it. You could bring your brother, if you wanted," Arthur asks, thinking that Fabian would be the perfect person to pawn off on Billy so that Billy wouldn't go insane and start questioning Molly to see if she was a nice person.

Molly giggles a little at Arthur's description of his older brother. She nods happily. "Sure I'll, like, totally bring Fabian along sometime. I'm sure he'll think it's totally awesome! 'Tacky and classy' kind of describes Fabian sometimes, though he's definitely classy, like, most of the time, so I bet he and Billy would get along super and stuff," she nods. She finishes her champagne and sets it aside, wondering idly if Arthur's brothers will like her and her family.

"They'd be great together," Arthur says. He knows that his family will love Molly and her cooking; he just isn't sure that her brothers will ever like a man who kissed their sister. Arthur grabs another strawberry and eats it thoughtfully. "Billy is tacky in his dress, but very classy in her manners and the like. An old English gentleman, though I don't think they pull flowers out of their...well, you know where." Arthur blushes, wishing he left the last bit out.

Molly pauses, tilts her head to the side, and widens her eyes. "Oh. My. God." She bursts into giggles. "I kind of, like, want to see that... except not, you know?" she says, nose wrinkling as she thinks it through because she doesn't exactly need a clear view of that, thanks. "Like, how is that even- why- what? Just, I can't even!"

Arthur remembers Billy's discussions of the mechanics behind the trick - a combination of charmwork, transfiguration, and slight of hand - and decides to not go into detail about them in front of Molly. Maybe in front of Ted, though. "Well, it's Billy's secret; he refuses to tell anyone about it," Arthur says, nervously sipping his champagne. "It only happens toward the end of family parties, though, once everyone's nicely toasted and flowers coming out of strange areas seems less...strange."

Molly pulls a little face. "Makes sense, I guess. Although if your family ever wants to grade on a curve of strange things seeming, like, not so strange, they should just hang out with Alice some!" She puts her empty glass aside and smiles, watching Arthur sip the remainder of his champagne. She looks about them at the remains of their picnic, contentment filling her.

"That sounds like a good idea," Arthur says. He looks around, noticing the remains of their picnic. He begins to grab things and pack them into the basket in a pell-mell fashion; after filling the container within three seconds, he decides that he should attempt to put them in a little more neatly. He considers using magic, but his packing spells just make everything fly out of the object, not fly in.

Molly watches Arthur 'pack' for a moment, but it does not take long before she can't stand the packing travesty before her. "No, no, no," she says, shaking her head and pulling Arthur's hands away. "If you're not going to use magic, you've got to, like, put things in so that they fit in the gaps! Look," she commands, and spends about forty-five seconds completely repacking the picnic basket with even some space to spare.

Arthur smiles at Molly. "Thanks," he says nervously as he picks up the basket. He shuffles his feet before awkwardly extending his arm toward Molly. "Do you want to walk back to the castle together?" he asks. "I'm going to the common room probably. I think. Most likely. But if you're going somewhere else I can still walk you there." Arthur hates his nerves sometimes.

"The common room sounds just fine to me," Molly says, a broad smile on her face as she takes Arthur's arm to head back inside. "I didn't, like, make any plans or anything for the rest of the day," she can't help but add, because somehow she wants Arthur to know that she didn't have an escape route or anything plotted out, which she has done on first dates before.

Arthur smiles at Molly. "I don't have plans either. Maybe homework or reading," he says. Actually, his plans simply consist of finding Ron, squealing like a little girl with him, finding a free fireplace so that Ron and Arthur could squeal with Billy, find food, and then sleep. But that didn't have a particular start time. Arthur slows down his walking, realizing that Molly's leg were significantly shorter than his and that his normal frantic pace might not be best. Plus he didn't really want the date to end quite.

Molly pulls a face. "Oh yeah, homework. It's kind of weird that Evans hasn't, like, bitched me out about that in days, but whatever," she shrugs. "Maybe I should do some of that." Fat chance. Molly's evening will consist of bouncing around her dorm room squealing, looking for someone to share her excitement with, then being depressed because the person she usually shares her happy stories with is also the person most likely to go and thump any boy who wants to make her happy and squealy. And then she'll probably owl Ted. Molly can keep up with Arthur no problems, but she notices how he slows his pace for her and the consideration makes her feel sort of fluttery inside. And as an added bonus, the long walk back to Gryffindor tower is not over as quickly as it might have been.

"Maybe, though it's not really exciting," Arthur says, thinking of the fact that his homework will most likely remain neglected for the time being. Arthur also wants to owl Ted and squeal to his friend, even though Ted doesn't appear to be the squealing type. "School never seems to end, does it?" Arthur says. "I can't wait for summer. Though I'll miss seeing you every day."

"It is, like, totally never-ending," Molly agrees with a giggle and tosses her hair over her shoulder. She falters slightly as Arthur mentions how he'll miss seeing her every day. "Well I totally can't let you go around missing me, right? We'll see each other over the Summer - I have to come hang out with you at Billy's, remember? I wouldn't want to not see you at all," she admits as they move through the castle together.

"Of course," Arthur says with a smile. "And someone needs to take me clothes shopping. And you'll have to see the clock; I actually have a pretty good start on it. Once summer comes, all I have to do is build some prototypes until I find the right one." Arthur sees the Fat Lady coming up ahead. They were almost there.
