Viktor frowns and lightly rubs Remus' arm. "I think you're right in telling him. If you two are best friends, then you shouldn't be keeping things from him. Especially not if it bothers you this much. And it'd probably be best to do it sooner rather than later."

Seeing as it's been far too long, aka hasn't happened in idk how long, James, while wandering the Hogwarts grounds, spotted Severus sitting all by himself looking rather greasy and grumpy. It presented to him a perfect opportunity for a mood booster, so he headed down the hillside toward him, kicking a gravel with his superior aiming skills at the back of his oily head. "Well, well, if it isn't Snivellus getting a little sunshine!"

Severus who is lost in thought ~~daydreaming about a naked Pansy~~ thinking about his Transfiguraton exam, does not see James coming, and when he hears his voice he nearly wets himself, jumping to his feet and whipping out his wand. "What do you want, Potter?" he spat, looking quite disgruntled.

"Oh, ho, ho. Someone's a little jumpy today, huh, Snivellus?" James didn't bother at first to pull out his wand, quite comfortable making his way down the hill to stand with his hands in his pockets. "No need to get the wands out, now. Not like you'd curse me anyway. Haven't got it in you." Regardless, James had his hand around his wand - not the magical one, you freaks - just so that he could have it out in a second's notice if Snape did manage for once to get up the bravery to do something.

"Right, ignored by Hogwarts females, that's exactly why my two best friends possess vaginas," he said, rolling his eyes-- there was plenty for James to insult that Severus couldn't deny, but as long as he was going to mock him for things that weren't true, he wouldn't let it hurt him. "I believe the psychological term is projection, by the way-- perhaps you need a better way of dealing with the fact that you will never get a girl you want?"

"Best friends? Snivellus has friends? What poor girls have you coerced into friendship, Snivellus?" James laughed at him, quite amused by the idea of anyone wanting to spend time with the greaseball, much less two girls. He figured they were probably repulsive, probably some girls who didn't have any other friends and didn't get paid attention to by any other guys, so they figured that any guys attention was better than none. Yeah, that was probably it. Two stupid ugly girls who thought Snape was cool. That had to be it. He ignored the fact that Snivellus said he wouldn't get any girl he wanted. That was silly, as he was still convinced that Evans would eventually be his.

"Yes, thanks, I do have friends, and I don't feel the need to coerce them into anything, unlike you, who tries on every opportunity to coerce poor Lily into whatever it is you want from her that day. By the way, she will never make a man a sandwich, so stop dreaming," he replied thinly, not sure he wanted to actually tell James who his friends were, in case he went after them. On second though. Narcissa had her family, and Pansy was just awesome, so he had nothing to fear from James, did he? "And my two best friends are Narcissa Black and Pansy Parkinson, by the way. Both of whom think your ego is comparable to the size of a walrus' penis."

James is a bit taken by surprise when told that Lily would never make a sandwich. Well that was disheartening. She has such lovely hands too, they would probably make a great sandwich. He decided not to reply, not because he had no comeback for it - which was the real reason despite his denial of it - but because he wouldn't give Snape the satisfaction of being disappointed by that fact. "Pansy and Narcissa. Hm." Pansy. The one who had been stalking Sirius? Well this was just weird if she was friends with Snape too. Very weird. "Well, I don't know myself, but I hear that one is a little freaky, so I don't know if she really counts as a real friend or what. The other one though, well I don't know her. BUT IT DOESN'T MATTER. ANYWAY, BACK TO WHERE WE WERE." James is not so very good at arguing when his thoughts are stuck on Lily holding a sandwich. What a beautiful sight. He instead decided to lift his wand and point it at Severus, flicking it lightly as he muttered "Levicorpus!" lifting him up by his ankle and dangling him over the ground, only wishing Padfoot was here with him to laugh along. What. A. Bully.

Severus sighed, thankfully realizing that it was coming, and James, genius that he is without Padfoot to do it for him, had left Snape in possession of his wand. "Liberacorpus," he muttered under his breath, falling to the ground unceremoniously and looking livid as he turned on James. "How dare you, Potter-- Expelliarmus! Petrificus Totalus!" he cast in quick succession, then took off running, not bothering to see what had happened.
