Re: Hagrid's Garden
SORRY LU I WAS WATCHING AVPS WITH A FRIEND AND COULD ONLY GET ON DRACO ON MY PHONE
"Okay so I know about bowtruckles but what are Porlocks?" Ted was sorta almost regretting not taking this class, "Do you just learn about them or do you get to handle them too?"

Re: Hagrid's Garden
IT'S FINE! I had a meeting for school!
"They're horse guardians," she explained dreamily. "We didn't get to see them in person. We just had to read about them and write an essay. They seem like really interesting creatures though."

I MISSED YOU <3
Ted nodded, "Hmm, interesting. So do they hang around stables?" He grinned, "Sorry I feel like I'm grilling you about this."

I missed you too! *clings*
"It's fine," she smiled. "I like talking about this sort of thing. Erm- They live in stables or wherever herds of horses live. People don't know much about them because they don't really trust people. They sort of avoid us."

"Hmm, interesting." Ted studied her, she was an odd sort of girl. "So are you studying this outside of class at all?"

Luna shrugged. "I've studied it for the essay, but other than that I haven't given it much thought. They're interesting, but I prefer to read about different types of creatures, like thestrals and snorkacks."
Re: Hagrid's Garden
"Snorkacks? The name sounds familiar, I think I read something about them recently but I don't remember where." He scrunched up his nose but no matter how hard he thought he couldn't FIND the memory. What a fail puff.

Re: Hagrid's Garden
SORRY! I FORGOT ABOUT THIS WITH ALL THE EXCITEMENT OF YESTERDAYS EVENTS XD
"They're mentioned quite a lot in the Quibbler. My dad writes about them. They mostly live up in Sweden, so not many people around here have seen them. They're quite friendly creatures, really."

OMG IT'S OKAY I HAVE BEEN WAY DISTRACTED
"Sweden? So have you ever been there or seen them?" Ted is fascinated by this strage being.

Re: Hagrid's Garden
"Well, I went to Sweden over the summer but we didn't find any. They're rare, you see. My dad did manage to find the horn of one though. He bought it for me as a gift," she explained, smiling as she thought about the Crumpled Horn hanging on the wall back home at the Lovegood house.
Re: Hagrid's Garden
Fred walks on down to Hagrid's hut and starts taking samples of some of the vegetables in the friendly giant's garden. He's struck up a deal with Hagrid not too long ago. He gets to use whatever he needs for some of the products for WWW, and he promises that no pranks will effect Hagrid nor Fang. It's quite a nice bargain, don't you agree?

Re: Hagrid's Garden
Caradoc is wandering by, daydreaming about some sort of lovely orgy with himself, Fabian, Remus, and Jack, and is completely distracted when he blunders into-- "Oh! Whoa, totally didn't see you there, Ge- oh. Hey, George," he said, feeling extremely awkward, and rather wondering if he can make a bolt for it, right the fuck now.
Re: Hagrid's Garden
"Not to worry. And to set things straight, George is my twin who is obviously much sexier than I," he jokes with a playful grin. "I would be Fred, the Weasley you haven't yet had the pleasure of meeting," he says, offering out his hand to shake the new student. Well, he must be new. He has an American accent. "American, eh? Mate, you took a wrong turn and ended up on the wrong side of the pond, but it's nice meeting you nevertheless."

Re: Hagrid's Garden
Inner Rad is so fucking glad right now that Fred didn't pretend to be George, just saying. "Wha-- oh shit. You're his twin? Well-- that's nice," he says with a grin that clearly means, oh god that's nice, can we find George and an empty room now?, and he's also mildly wondering if Fred has heard about George's exploits with Rad. "Well, it truly is a pleasure, Fred. I'm Caradoc Dearborn, transfer from the states this year. I've already had the opportunity to get to know your brother, obviously."
Re: Hagrid's Garden
Fred does not read into that grin at all, seeing as he's about as straight as they get. Sadly, he doesn't have much of a gaydar so he has no idea that the guy he's talking to digs dudes. He doesn't even know about his brother which is rather sad, but someone will enlighten him eventually. "Aah. Caradoc. Yes, I've heard... absolutely nothing about you, sorry. Well, not from my brother, I mean. I've heard your name around the common room a few times though. Quite the heart breaker the way I hear it," he teased lightly.

Re: Hagrid's Garden
"Uh, heh, about that," he said, grinning awkwardly and praying to whatever higher power out there that prevented Fred from hearing about Rad's heartbreaking involving the guy's poor twin, so he doesn't have to deal with either awkwardness or fighting. "I suppose you can say that's true, to a certain degree. I would hate to cast myself in such a negative light-- I prefer the terms 'inveigler' or perhaps 'philanderer' personally. So much less derogatory, see. So, now that I've apparently been established as your average Casanova, why don't you tell me something about yourself? I can't say I got to around to doing much talking with your brother, so, I haven't really heard much about you, which is just clearly such a pity," he said, raking his eyes over Fred, and sighing happily at the memory of seeing that body undressed.
Re: Hagrid's Garden
Fred watches Rad's eyes move downwards. This is certainly a new concept. He's never been checked out by a guy before. Not knowingly, at least. "Well, looks like we've established that I'm one of the better looking members of my large family. Speaking of which, eyes up here, mate," he says, grinning as he points to his face where Rad should be looking now. "Other than being the good looking twin, I'm also a Gryffindor like my brother, on the Quidditch team, always busy working on pranks and the sort. I enjoy long walks on the beach, sipping tea by the fireplace, and reading romance novels in my spare time. Ask me another question." He grinned cheekily, and hopes Rad is bright enough to see that he is NOT the romance novel reading type.
AND NOW I MUST GO, LOVELY. <3 *skips off to see DH again* I'll tell Scabior you said hi.

Re: Hagrid's Garden
"Oh, now you're no fun, Fred," he said teasingly, forcing his eyes upwards again as he listens to the rest of Fred's words, albeit rather grudgingly, and with full intentions of checking Fred out again the moment he's distracted. "Awesome, looks like we've got some in common. I personally enjoy sunsets, long walks on the beach, and frisky men-- I'll save the romance novels for you, dude," he joked, grinning at Fred. "I'm in Hufflepuff, and I'm on the quidditch team as well-- I play chaser-- you play beater, right? I remember the Puff captain mentioning the Gryffindor team's beaters being twins," he said, recalling an amusing practice during which Caradoc most certainly made very amusing jokes about the Weasley twins and beating, I'll have you know. "As for another question, rest assured I've got plenty of things I could think about asking you," he said, winking at Fred as he pointed at his chest, rather like this. "Or at least, I would, if I wasn't planning on bein' a good boy today," he added.
Re: Hagrid's Garden
"I think I'll let George do the talking on the day you plan on being a bad boy," he teased with a light laugh, relieved that Rad agreed to behave because he's not quite sure how he'd handle a feisty gay man hitting on him. "And yeah, I'm a beater. My brother and I make quite the pair. Gotta protect the Chosen one after all," he chuckled lightly. "Frisky men, eh? Well you keep your frisky, and I'll keep my Quidditch players. Seriously mate, what I'd give to spend a day in the locker room of the Holyhead Harpies," he said as he put his hands in his pockets and let out a long whistle, thinking about what those girls must get up to in there. Oh, the possibilities.

Re: Hagrid's Garden
Rad raises a brow at Fred suggesting George do the talking, wondering if he had actually told his twin, after all. "George isn't much of a talker, though," he mumbled under his breath with a smirk, just above a whisper, loud enough to be heard possibly, but soft enough to be nothing but a mumble, if Fred wasn't paying attention. "Oh, I'm sure you have fun with that one, from my own experience I can say any quidditch player or athletes in generally really tend to be rather fun in the locker rooms-- wait, Harry Potter's on the Gryffindor team? I didn't know that," he said, rather intrigued.
