Re: The Courtyard
She shook her head, making herself a little dizzy. "Not really. I was thinking of training for this thing the muggles do. It's called a 'parathon' or something like that. They just...run, for a really long time." She shrugged. "I haven't decided yet."
Re: The Courtyard
"You want to run with muggles for a really long time?" He asked. "Why?" That sounded pretty dumb to him.

Re: The Courtyard
She shrugged. "It's a challenge. You know, seeing if you persevere and all that." She smiled. "Still not sure if I will do it though."
Re: The Courtyard
He nodded. "Hmm. Sounds fun if you like running." he said with a shrug. "Which you seem to like." He said still nodding. "I'm sure you could do it easily."

Re: The Courtyard
"Yeah, I'm sure there is some spell to make it easier." Like the one on Wizards of Waverly Place"Not to cheat though. Just in case I start to get tired or something."
Re: The Courtyard
"Yeah, I'm sure there is one." He said and sighed. He looked around and realized they had been talking for a few hours and it was starting to get dark. "Huh, looks like I won't be getting much practice in tonight." he said and laughed slightly.

Re: The Courtyard
She started and looked around. "Oh no! I have to run." Even though she ran that morning, her obsession made her want to run again. "It's going to be dark soon! Crap! What am I going to do!" She was freaking out a little.
Re: The Courtyard
"Millicent. Chill. Can't you skip running one day? It's not a big deal. You can run twice as long tomorrow or something." He said, resting his hand on her arm. "Just relax."

Re: The Courtyard
She shook her head frantically, swaying a bit. "No, I have to go today. Do you think there is somewhere in the castle I can run?" She didn't even notice his hand on her arm.
Re: The Courtyard
He placed both hands on the sides of her face. "Millicent!" He said, not really yelling, but not talking quietly. "RELAX. You can run tomorrow. Just....today can be your little break from running. Skipping one day is not going to kill you." he said, looking into her eyes with his eyes, you know what his eyes look like. You know them.

Re: The Courtyard
Her eyes were wide and frantic. Marcus didn't understand. She looked at him, almost pleading. "I have to." If he didn't have her face in his hands, she would have looked down, swearing she gained weight from not running tonight. She looked into his eyes, which usually sent her heart racing and could tell that he was trying to calm her down. She had to play her part. She let herself relax, exaggerating a bit so he'd feel her relaxation.
Re: The Courtyard
He slowly lowered his hands from her face and questioned her. "Why? Why do you HAVE to Millicent?" he asked, not removing his eyes from looking right into hers.

Re: The Courtyard
BAHAHHAHA I love you. SO much.
He blinked at her. "You can't just skip one night?" He asked. "There is nothing else that makes you feel good?" he asked her. He sure knew what made him feel good but he didn't think she would agree with him on that. "Not one other thing you can think of?"

<3
"No." She left it at that. Her old therapy was eating until she felt like exploding, those days were far behind her. "Maybe I could just run up and down the grand staircase.." She said it more to herself.

Re: The Courtyard
He stared at her with a worried expression. "You're starting to freak me out."

Re: The Courtyard
"What? Why am I freaking you out? There's nothing wrong with wanting to work out. It's perfectly normal to want to be in good shape." She spoke defensively.
Re: The Courtyard
"No...there is nothing wrong with wanting to work out Millicent. But when you get this obsessive about it.....That's when something is wrong with it." he said, hoping she wouldn't get mad at him for saying it.

Re: The Courtyard
She stood and glared down at him "Obsessive? You think I'm obsessive! Well, you're wrong!" She glanced down at her shirt, making sure it was covering everything. "Sorry running is something I like to do."
Re: The Courtyard
He stood up. "Millicent. No...It's just. I like Quidditch." he said randomly. "Yeah. I love Quidditch and I was planning on playing tonight but it got dark so I decided I will play tomorrow." He said calmly. "Why can't you do the same but with running?"

Re: The Courtyard
She realized there was no way of explaining, without revealing everything. Instead of telling him the truth, she got even more defensive. "I would expect you to understand. Just drop it." She folded her arms across her chest.
Re: The Courtyard
He widened his eyes at her in shock. "Okay." He said in a surprised tone. "I'll drop it."

Re: The Courtyard
Great. She realized she was being angry at him when he was only trying to help. She felt horrible. "Look, I'm sorry." Her tone was a lot softer and she unfolded her arms. "Sorry I got so defensive. It's just something that means a lot to me."
Re: The Courtyard
"No. It's fine." He said throwing his arms up in defeat. "Just..do whatever you want." he said shaking his head. "I'll see you around Millicent." He said and turned around, starting to walk away from her and back to the castle.

Re: The Courtyard
She stared after him. Something inside her felt hollow, as though her cry for help had been shunned. She realized she felt afraid. Afraid he wouldn't want to be her friend if she kept acting this strange. She went to call out after him, but her voice was stuck in her throat. She just stood there, staring after him. Then something boiled up inside her, she didn't care if she got hurt or somehow got lost. She pulled out her wand and murmured Lumos . Her wand ignited and she set off for the grounds, determined to get her run in.
