Andrew walks down with Padma. He stops for a second. "Wait here." He said as he turned around and dashed off for a second. He then returned with a picnic basket. He placed in on the ground and pulled a blanket out and laid it on the ground. He went back over to Padma and guided her over. "A table for two." He said, as he helped her take a seat, then take his own spot.

Glad that it was a good idea he continued. "As for a starter." He said as he pulled a plate out of the basket. "A marvelous salad." He said as he placed it down.

"Then we have." He said as he pulled a plate out of the basket. "A cheese pizza." He grinned. "Cause you can never go wrong with a home made pizza." He then reached into the basket and pulled out a small tub. "And for desert, chocolate chip mint ice cream." He said, beaming. It was such a lame dinner he loved it, and only hoped she did too.

Padma grinned. "Sounds good," she said, looking at him. "Er- shall we start?" The thing that she had been wondering about was lurking in the back of her mind. Later, she told herself.

"Of course." He said. As he handed her a fork. As they started to eat he said. "So, how was your day?" He asked between mouthfuls.

"Good," she said, beginning to eat. "Yesterday was eventful, but today was nice and calm." She smiled.

"That's good." He said. As he took a few more bites before saying. "It's a beautiful night out." He said, finishing up his food.

"Yeah, it is," Padma said, looking around. She is NOT that fast a eater, so she's only halfway through done. "This was a nice idea," she added, smiling, but fearful of the lack of conversation.

Padma laughed. "Really?" she asked. Well, he seemed genuine... She finished her food. "So what have you done the past few days?"

"Sat, walked, talked to myself. The usual." He laughed as he put all the food stuff away. "But, a while ago, I had been thinking. And i remembered, that, my father had given my mother, a present, after they had been dating for a while. So it got me thinking. 'Hmmh, I wonder what I could get Padma.' And after a lot of thought, it dawned on me." He said as he pulled out a box of his pocket and handed it too her. "I hope you like it." He said, smiling, as he watched her open it to find a simple diamond necklace. The one that he went through so much hassle to get.

Padma smiled and politely sat quietly until he had finished. She let out a gasp as he pulled out the necklace. "Andrew," she whispered, choking up a little, "it's beautiful. Where did you get it?" That couldn't have been cheap; she certainly couldn't doubt his love now. She got up, walked over, and sat by him. "W-will you put it on?" she asked quietly.

He smiled as he took it and placed it around her neck. "I'm, I'm glad you love it." He said. A smile coming across his face. But when she asked where he got it, he hesitated for a second, his smile fading just a little. "Um. I uh." He stuttered before just saying it. "I sold by broom to get it." He looked down, embarrassed. After he spent all that time saving up for his Firebolt, but seeing the look on her face was worth every cent of it.

Padma gasped. "You didn't!" she exclaimed, spinning around. "Andrew- that- that-" She couldn't even find the right words. She just looked directly into his eyes and kissed him. "Thank you," she murmured. "I didn't think I was worth that much."

"Of course you are." He said pulling her into a hug. "Your worth all of it and more." He sighed softly, glad that she was happy.

Padma smiled and sighed. "I can't believe I thought you might have been cheating on me," she whispered, barely audible. In a louder voice, she said, "You know what? You're perfect and I love you."

Andrew heard what she said faintly, and was about to say something, but figured it didn't really matter, he had known that something was up, but he was glad that she was past it. "I love you too." He said softly, pulling her into a tighter hug.

Not realizing she had said that out loud, Padma was glad when he let it slip. "I wish I'd gotten you something," she sighed, fingering the necklace while leaning on his chest.
