She looked up at him with sad eyes "What did you do?" she thought of Albus and her heart sank "I-I dunno. I haven't seen him since I ran after George the other day...he probably doesn't want anything to do with me. Come on Deano. you're supposed to be my best friend! Can't you just be happy for me?"

"Well, he showed me something and I took care of it." He spat back at her "I am your best friend. I am trying to PROTECT YOU! Gah! I can't believe you'd take him back after what he did to you!"

"Dean! I am really grateful to you for trying to protect me, I really am! but George...I need him Deano. can't you understand that!" She bit her lip and tried to hold back tears

"No I can't. I understand needing someone. That I get. I don't see why you would want someone that hurt you, then treated you like crap. That I don't get!" He started angrily pacing. "Now he's going to think 'Oh, I got away with it last time. She'll always forgive me because she needs me.' " The sarcasm was very thick with that last statement.

[NIGHT!! LOVE YOU!! Sorry, I got no sleep last night, and I have to get up earlyish]

He continued pacing. "I don't know what to say to you! I hope you know that me and him can never be friends. Did you think about how this would affect the people around you? Nah, you just needed a bang I bet. I want you to be happy, but I think you're making a big mistake right now!"

her eyes widened in shock at Dean's comment about wanting a good bang "I-is that what you think of me Dean? I just like to hook up? You have to know I would NEVER do that! I-I can't believe you would think that of your own supposed best friend." she stood up, shaking, tears in her eyes

[PAUSED UNTIL DEANO GETS BACK]

Dean glares at her "Never do that huh. Isn't that what you did the other day? Then he just left you there!" He knew he would probably feel bad about that one day, but right now he just didn't care.

Angela's heart fell into her stomach "th-that wasn't my fault Dean. you know that. Dean, please..." she trailed off taking a step towards her best friend, trying to reach out to him

He took a step back as she took a step closer. "I don't know what to think of you right now. I didn't think I could be this disappointed in you, but I am. What do you want from me right now?"

she choked back a sob at his words. "Deano. I need my best friend to be happy that I'm happy...is that really too much to ask? I-I never thought we could fight like this but...I guess I was wrong" She reached out a hand towards him but thought better of it, and let it drop back down to her side

He took another step back "I would be happy for you if you were with someone that was actually good for you." His angered flared again. "And obviously we can fight like this, because you're too thick to see the consequences of your actions."

she glared at him through her tears. "I thought we were best friends through thick and thin Dean Thomas, but apparently not. George and I had a fight, a falling out. most couples have them. if i recall, YOU had a bit of a falling out with Dom too. so don't you be all high and mighty. don't even think about it" her hands balled into fists

[and yes. i know. that was below the belt D:]

His anger is reaching a breaking point and totally goes over the top at the mention of Dom. He was now shouting "Yeah, we had a falling out. But we weren't even technically together yet. I never made promises to her and she never made promises to me. Wasn't that the point of the stupid 'promise ring' he got you. A promise to love you and ONLY you!" He chuckled at the mention of rings. He says under his breath "Man I'm glad I got rid of the other stupid ring..."

[*prepares for all hell to break loose*]

"You-you're right. but shouldn't the fact that we are able to get past this prove that we CAN keep promises to each other?" she hardly heard what Dean was muttering about a ring, but she did and she stared at him "what. did. you. do?"

Oh no she did NOT just scream at him. He looked her straight in the eye and spoke slowly as if he were talking to someone who was very slow "George showed me a little sparkly ring in a tiny little box. I threw it into the lake where it was swallowed by he giant squid" He grinned at her again.

[I fail. It literally took me 10 tries just to spell 'straight' right..it's gonna be a long night....]

she glared when he started to talk down to her. wait. a ring? another ring? wh-ohmygosh. no. no way. it couldn't have been... "A ring? another ring? Dean! How could you do that! That must have cost him so much money and at least he could have returned it! How could you!" she was angry now. how could he have been so hurtful? clearly this wasn't her best friend anymore "That was cruel Dean. just. plain. cruel." she wanted to wipe that stupid grin right off his face

"Dean..." she called after him futilely as she watched his retreating form. she collapsed in the grass and grabbed fistfuls of grass, ripping them out as she cried
