Re: The Hogwarts Lake
Padma raised her eyebrows. "She's awesome, even though she's a little bit different," Padma said, in defense of Parvati. "She's my sister and she's with me no matter what. I wouldn't insult her if I were you."

Re: The Hogwarts Lake
Harry laughed "Ok ok!" He said holding both his hands up. "I give in! She's probably really nice...I mean she's related to you isn't she??" Harry grinned.

"There we go," Padma said, smiling. "Oh, you'll meet her eventually."

"I'm sure I will." He said smiling then made a serious face again and said. "Seriously though...don't worry about Andy...I know if anything happened and you guys broke up he would do something drastic...something very very horrible...he loves you soo much."
Re: The Hogwarts Lake
Padma smiled. "I'll talk with him," she said.

"What," Padma said, "did you think I was going to dump him without telling him anything?!"

"Well...I just wanted to be sure that you are both on the same page and you don't just dump him because you THINK he MIGHT not be interested in you..."

"I'm a Ravenclaw for a reason," Padma said disdainfully.

"Well that's true...who am I to be giving the smartest ravenclaw I know advice?!" Harry said laughing.

"All Ravenclaws are smart," Padma said, laughing, "but thanks for the compliment."

"Well, it was nice talking to you, Harry," Padma said, getting up, "but I've gotta go. Enjoy the grapes. See you soon!" She skipped away.

"Yeah you too! I'll talk to you later...bye!" he waved to her until she was out of sight then devoured the grapes and headed up to the castle.

[I can't help but read Harry's posts in Radcliffe's voice]
Buckbeak emerges from the bushes, he has waited for this moment.

Ah Hagrid! His old friend.
Buckbeak replies with a bow and takes a few quick trots towards the half-giant.

"All righ' there, Beaky?"
Hagrid pats Buckbeak's feathery neck and pulls out a yummy dead ferret treat for him.

Re: The Hogwarts Lake
Buckbeak is glad that Hagrid doesn't resent him for converting his cabin into an interstellar flu-ship and crashlanded it here, but he supposes it was bound to happen eventually. He takes the ferret from the large man's hand and wolfs it down. Much better than those rotting apples.
But wait... this ferret. *Gasp* Poison? Charm?

Re: The Hogwarts Lake
Hagrid takes things in his stride. His crash-landed interstellar flu-ship cabin is an improvement on the time Death Eaters set it on fire, anyway. He frowns as Buckbeak gasps and chokes and pats his many, many pockets.
"Sorry 'bou' that! Forgot how long it's bin in me pocket."
He pulls out a new ferret.
"Here's a nice fresh one."

*Hack! Cark!* ... *Blarghargag*
Buckbeak chunders all over Hagrid, bits of rotted ferret mixed with the thousand apples held in his stomach as trophies of his apple-crusade. But through the stream of ferret-cider Buckbeak's hawk-like eyes see another ferret in Hagrid's grasp. Buckbeak doesn't really find it that weird that Hagrid just keeps dead ferrets in his pockets all the time, in fact it is one of the benefits of Hagrid.
Buckbeak takes care to test the meat before swallowing this time. This oaf will be the death of him.

Re: The Hogwarts Lake
Hagrid scoops glomps of ferret-cider chunder from his beard with his free hand, chuckling as Beaky grabs the second ferret.
"Bless 'im, 'e's a hungry fella today! Aren't ya, Beaky? What 'a you bin eatin', anyways?"
He examines a handful of chunder and frowns. Apples aren't good for hippogriffs! He sure hopes the victory over all appledom is worth the indigestion.

Re: The Hogwarts Lake
Buckbeak feels alot better now that he was free of apples. The ferret has a minty tang suggesting a little something extra special marinade Hagrid threw in. Oh you!
Hagrid knows just how to keep the hippogriffs interested.
Buckbeak is also glad that this isn't gonna turn into some twisted incest cross gender and age love afair like every other conversation at Hogwarts.
