Remus laughed. "I can see her doing that. Hermione can be intimidating when she wants to be..." Scary, scary, scary.... He shakes his head. "Kiora's doing well. She's a miracle for me." He smiled softly. "An absolute miracle. Hermione's right, I am going to spoil that child."

Regulus laughed at that, running a hand through his hair. "I can't say I blame you. I don't really know much about babies at all, but she seemed cute and friendly," he remarked. "Though, I only met her for about a minute the other day, while I was shooting with a friend of mine."

Remus paled...a lot. Oh dear. Reg reminded Remus about the shooting. Remus had tried to forget about that. He had, he had. "I...er, heard about that. Yep. I did, I did. How did guns get on the campus anyway and who would want to shoot those well obviously you and your friend that was Tolga right I haven't met him yet nope no I haven't and oh dear guns they're really loud aren't they that's what I've heard anyway I've never really been around them because they're sort of scary..." He paused and took a deep breath, trying not to faint. And then he killed Amethyst because she made him say all that without commas. That was painful for him.

Hahahhaha. It was painful to read. I read it out loud and very quickly, too. Regulus smiled a little, and pulled out the small gun he'd gotten as a gift from Tolga a few weeks ago, holding it out to Remus to look at it. "I dunno how he snuck half those guns in, I swear- he wears like ten on him wherever he goes. They interested me before, but I've been learning how to use one, for self defense. I've become a bit paranoid lately, I guess..." he said awkwardly, not realizing that Sirius told Remus what had happened. Because we're gonna pretend Sirius and Remus spoke and Sirius told Remus about it because he so would have. We should do Sirius/Remus tonight. OH GOD NOT LIKE SIRIUS/REMUS BUT I MEAN SIRIUS AND REMUS TIME... yeah.

Remus is very very reluctant to hold that gun, but he is sort of curious too. So he takes it to look at. It doesn't look all that dangerous...but he knows it is. He KNOWS. He doesn't want to upset Reg, so he won't say anything about what had happened. And we should do Sirius/Remus tonight...heh heh heh, just kidding, but we should do Sirius and Remus time tonight...as long as there's no unwanted pants removal.
"He wears that many?! Why does he need so many of them? Isn't one good enough? And I've heard they're good for self defense..." He's trying to figure out how to get it to work. Not that he wants to use it. He's just curious.

Regulus is completely oblivious to Remus' obvious discomfort and takes the gun back, releasing the safety, aiming, and firing at a random tree branch in the distance, and some birds fly out of the tree squawking angrily. "That's how it works," he said simply, putting it back in its holster. "And yeah. They work fairly well; I just need to learn how to use it better. I'm still no good with moving targets," he said with a note of irritation in his voice. "But all the same- more efficient than a wand, sometimes."

Remus' eyes grow uber wide and he goes paler, if that's even possible. It feels like his heart is going to leap out of his chest. His ears are practically dying; guns are loud! Even louder to his sensitive ears. "That...that's...you'll...definitely get better...if you keep pra-pra-practicing..." ~~He faints.~~ Remus does NOT like guns. No he does not. He likes them even less now that he's seen one in action.

Regulus looks over at Remus and finally sees that something is wrong. "Err- did that bother you? Sorry. It's just... THEY'RE BIG SHINY METAL THINGS THAT GO BOOM AND THEN THINGS DIE. Is it not TOTALLY AWESOME? Ah well. I guess Tolga and I are alone in our opinion. No worries, I put it away," he said with a smile. "Err- are you okay?"

Remus semi-sorta nods. "YES. I'M FINE. VERY FINE. IT JUST...SCARED ME. IT WENT 'BOOM!' AND...BOOM!" His voice is squeaky and he's unaware of the fact that he's sort of shouting.

Regulus bursts out laughing and puts a hand on Remus' shoulder. "Relax. It's gone. No more boom, boom, boom. See? All gone," he said, lifting up his shirt to reveal the gun in its holster. "I take it you're a lover, not a fighter," he said jokingly.

Remus nods vigorously. "I HATE FIGHTING. I DO, I DO. THOUGH I MAY HAVE TAKEN PART IN A FEW...BUT GENERALLY I DO NOT FIGHT. NO NO NO. OH..." His ears aren't hurting as much now. "Was I shouting? Oops...sorry about that..."

Regulus shrugged and smiled. "I can't say the same for myself- I seem to have gotten myself into far too many fights for my own good, though that was mostly in the beginning of the year. Most of my fights have been with Sirius, though I got into a couple of really nasty fights with a friend of mine, when he found out I was gay," he said with a frown, disliking the memory.

"I'm sorry to hear that." Remus doesn't like seeing sad Regulus, happy Regulus is better, because Remus likes seeing his friends happy. "When Sirius found out, about me and Severus...er, he wasn't too happy. Mostly because he hates Severus so much. That was a nasty fight." Because the old Sirius was a jerk, and he beat Remus up...though Remus got him back. So it's all good. "It's hard to judge how people will respond to hearing things like that."

"Err- that's the thing, he didn't really hear, so much as he spied on me and found out that way. Served him right, for being a nosy git, honestly," he said irritably. "He was so nasty to Viktor- and it upset me so much, I mean, Cormac has been my best friend, for so long. But I guess I found out later why he was so angry about it all," he said awkwardly, not really wanting to think about that. "As for Sirius- doesn't he beat everyone up? He's not exactly a pacifist," he snorted, then burst out laughing. Seeing Remus' confused face, he stopped laughing long enough to explain. "Sorry. I just remembered, I spoke to Severus for the first time the other day. I believe the only thing he said to me was that his gaydar went off whenever he came within fifty feet of me," he said with a chuckle. "He seems pleasant enough. A bit of a drunk, but he's alright."

[There. Drama llamas because I'm bored. This'll be after talking to Snape I guess.]

Remus blinks. "Drunk? But...Severus told me he wasn't drinking anymore." That sort of ticks him off. There they were, talking and being civil to each other, and Severus was being a total lyer who lyes right under his nose.

Regulus raised a brow and shook his head. "Are you kidding? He's always about the common room, drunk or drinking, with that seventh year girl, I think her name is Pansy- well, that, or he's got that huge nose of his in a book. Or both, at the same time, actually. It's kind of annoying- it's starting to stink of whiskey on the one couch he's usually on, actually," he said with distaste. "I could never drink myself- it goes so badly, badly, badly," he said with a laugh, oblivious to Remus' irritation. "Viktor never fails to mock me for that."

Remus sighed angrily. "I can't believe this. He fucking lied to me. And he knows that I was always worried about how much he drank." Oh how he'd love to storm to wherever Severus Snape was right now and shake some sense into him.

Regulus looked up at Remus and frowned. "Oh. I'm sorry," he said awkwardly, not knowing what to say in the least, but he knew for one thing that he could think of a million reasons why Severus would hide his drinking; he understood that all too well. "Er- I know I don't really know him- but maybe he thought it would be better to lie, if he didn't want to upset you? If he knew that you would worry, maybe he didn't want you to have to deal with that. I would understand that," he said quietly.

Regulus shook his head. "You didn't upset me, I was just saying- I can see where he's coming from, if he's lying, is all. I lied, when I didn't want to hurt the people I cared about. It wasn't the best decision, in the long run- but I thought it would be."

Remus ran a hand through his hair. "You're right. Well, I don't really want to hurt him anymore than I already have. Especially since...well, it was nice having a civil conversation with him again. I don't want to ruin that. But...I still feel like I should talk to him about it."

"I don't see why not- he might need help, and not know it, honestly. And as for how you know- well, it's not a secret, is it? Anyone in Slytherin knows it," he replied, leaning back against a tree and shaking the hair out of his eyes in a very Sirius-esque manner. "Civil conversation? Do you guys not get along?"

Remus dropped his chin on his hand and pulled at some grass. "How could we? Not after what a jerk I was to him. When I ended it...I yelled at him something fierce. Then I left him there..." Remus didn't really want these memories to surface. They weren't pleasant. "It was so awkward to see him after that. And it wasn't like I'd just...stopped having feelings for him right then and there. I was just...telling myself to be done with it. It took a while..." He sighed. "I was such a jerk."

Regulus looked surprised- he couldn't imagine Remus being a jerk to anyone, in the least. "But- you're so nice," he said stubbornly, refusing to believe it. "Surely there must be more to it than that- I can't imagine you being hurtful to someone, at least not someone who didn't deserve it," he said, looking somewhat curious but not trying to be rude.
