Viktor laughs along with Molly, secretly glad because he would rather wear boots that don't match the trousers than flip flops. "Vell, maybe the giant squid vill take care of the evidence for us. I really don't vant to face an angry Fabian, that found shoes that vere carelessly tossed into the lake from a fun game. He really does love his fashion, doesn't he?"

Molly's eyes widen with the idea. "Oh yeah! I really hope the giant squid gets right on that! Hey, does the giant squid, like, even have a name? I bet it would be something like Marvin. Yeah, Fay-bee totally loves his fashion. He's, like, really really good at it too. When I don't know what to wear I just ask him and he always comes up with the goods! Except I'm kinda glad I'm, like, so much smaller than he is and he can't squeeze into any of my outfits because it would be totally annoying if he was always stealing my clothes! Ali and I share some stuff, but not heaps, so that's cool."

"I don't think so. It's just the Giant Squid as far as I know, but Marvin vorks too," he says with a laugh. "I've never had any siblings, so I never shared clothes vith anyvon. Also, I don't think manly guys like me share clothes. It's in the bro code or something. No sharing clothes. Guys have a lot of rules like that."

"Boys are, like, so ridiculous," Molly laughs, shaking her hair back off her shoulders and leaning back on her hands. "I bet you all, like, see all sorts of things in your dorms and quidditch locker rooms and all, and you won't let someone borrow a shirt? Whatever. Oh, hey, look, your flip-flop is sinking!" she says, nodding towards the shoe in question, which appears to be about to make like the Titanic and sink. "I hope Marvin / Giant Squid is hungry!"

[Viktor Krum - Inactive]

"I hope so too," he chuckles as he watches the shoe go down into the depths of the lake. "Vell, I guess I broke the rule vonce. My friend let me borrow his shirt von time, but I vos in the Hospital Ving at the time. I'm sure there's an exception for that. There must be," he says with a nod because the bro code does indeed leave a spot for an amendment.

"Hospital Wing? Well, I'd guess that, like, all bets are off in there. Because anyone stuck in there deserves to be cut a br- OHMYGODDIDYOUSEETHAT?" she shrieks as a big tentacle comes out of nowhere and seizes one of Molly's shoes, dragging it below the surface, never to be seen again. "That was totally the coolest thing ever!"

Viktor watches in awe as the tentacle comes up and grabs the shoe, bringing it back down into the lake where they'll never see it again. "Woah! That was awesome! I've never actually seen the squid before. Not until just now!"

Molly pulls her sunnies down her nose a little to get a better look as Viktor's sole surviving flip-flop is snaffled by another tentacle. "Me either! I was sure it was, like, an urban legend or something. But it's totally real! That's awesome! And now Fabian will never know of our totally fun shoe indiscretions, which is even better!"

"Exactly! If he asks then ve can tell him vot happened. How the squid came out of no vare, and attacked us, not leaving us alone until he got the shoes off our feet and back to verever he chills ven he's not stealing shoes. Sounds believable enough," he jokes, acting as if this is perfectly logical.

-as Molly- *stabs internet*

Molly grins. "We could, like, totally work this one. What we've got to do is play the trauma angle, and add the element of baby sister in danger. It totally works every time," she promises with a wink. "See what we'll say is that we were sitting here, minding our own business, when the giant squid came out of nowhere and tried to pull me in! And of course I may very well have been drowned, or eaten, or whatever in the name of Merlin happens to whatever the squid wants, if you had not been here to rescue me and keep me from falling in! Naturally, the loss of a couple of pairs of shoes is a small price to pay for such a heroic act!"

"Yes! That sounds perfect. He can't be upset about shoes after he hears that story. If anything, he should be proud of us and our accomplishments. Give me a reward for saving his little sister," he said with a smirk. "I mean, it's not everyday that you fight off a giant squid, and rescue somebody. Shoes are bound to be lost in something so epic. Even Fabian can't argue that shoes are more important that Molly Prewetts."

Molly smirks back. "Oh, please. Shoes are, like, nothing. A Molly Prewett is priceless! The only thing to watch would be Fabian going shoe shopping and bringing us back, like, twenty pairs each. Poor boy insists on putting me in heels all the damned time. Not that I don't love the extra height, but they're a total pain after a while. So maybe we should be all, like, traumatic about shoes for a while so he doesn't bang on about them. Maybe we could get him onto belts. I like belts. They're generally harmless to my ankles, and they stop my pants from falling down!"

"Belts vork. I really don't care much about shoes. I'm good vith my few pairs that I have. Thank Merlin, Fabian insists that I never ever try to vare heels. Not that I vos planning on it of course," he says with a laugh. "I think I could live vith the belt obsession. I'm sure he could have fun vith that, though he really does love shoes. I can't even keep track of how many different pairs of shoes he's vorn. Sometimes I vonder is he ever vares the same pair twice."

[PAUSED.]

[Mya Lupin]

Molly giggles. "Are you, like, insane!? Of course he never wears the same pair twice! At home, Fabian has a walk in closet that's, like, bigger than his actual bedroom! And he totally digs belts, he's got a whole rack full of every occasion so I'm sure we could get away with that. You'll have, like, more belts than pairs of pants, but don't tell him that because then it will be pants shopping. And nobody comes through that unscathed."

Viktor laughs because he remembers when he left Durmstrang. He went pants shopping because he could finally wear pants that matched the boots, unlike the Durmstrang uniforms. "I think he took Regulus shopping for pants now that I think of it. He vos showing me his new jeans, and he said that Fabian helped pick them out," he said with a laugh. "He has good taste, I guess. I'll give him that much."

[Mya Lupin]

"Oh, Fay-bee's taste is, like, the best there is," Molly says, waving an airy hand. "If you can go the distance on a Fabian Prewett shopping trip, the pay-off is totally worth it, for sure. Oh, hey look - the squid is waving," she points out, and waves back with a laugh. "Sorry Marvin! We're fresh outta shoes!"

[Viktor Krum - Inactive]

Viktor chuckled. "He came vith me to help pick out a gift for Regulus. That turned out to be an adventure," he said with a laugh as he waved at the squid. "You know, I vould expect the giant squid to be pretty mean and evil, but he's really sort of a softie, isn't he?"

Molly shrugs. "Maybe he's lonely. Oh, and that's, like, a sad thought. Great. Just what I needed. I wonder if there is only one though? Or if there's a whole load of them and they're just super careful not to be spotted at the same time so nobody knows? And I wonder if Marvin gets along with the merpeople, or if it's all awkward, like when an out of state distant cousin visits and you realise you have, like, nothing in common so you just sort of slurp at your tea and hope the afternoon goes faster."

[Viktor Krum - Inactive]

"Oh. That is sort of sad. Maybe there's another von, but it's off in some other lake being all alone. Somevon should do something about that. Bring them together so they can be happy, and make little giant squid babies. Unless, of course, they like being alone. I don't really know. I've never really known much about them considering they're so rare and all."

"Nobody likes being alone," Molly says with absolute certainty. "Not all the time. And maybe we can, like, go on a giant squid hunt one day, and bring Marvin and Squid Two, who is hopefully a girl squid, or at the very least the opposite gender squid to Marvin, together so they can make adorable little giant squid offspring! But if Marvin is gay, that's totally not gonna work. But hey, that's cool - they can adopt! I don't really know anything about them either, but they can't be all that different from people, right?" she chirps.

"I'm sure they'll be able to adopt if they turn out to be gay. It's only fair. Squids shouldn't be denied children just because they prefer broomsticks over chambers," he says, quoting the Dumbledore letter I found on the sexy tumblr that I shared on skype. Hehe. "Regulus and I have talked about adopting a baby von day. It vouldn't be for a long time, but still...It's a happy thought," he says with a small, happy smile.

Molly laughs loudly at the 'chambers vs broomsticks' conundrum. Then she gets a big goofy grin happening at the mention of Viktor and Fabian Regulus adopting. "That would be so cool! I love kids! Not for a while though, of course, because I'm far too young and pretty to let this body go to waste just yet. Gid says he refuses to consider becoming an uncle until he's, like, thirty, but I don't think he realises he totally doesn't get a whole lot of a say in that, you know?"

Viktor chuckles and is glad he's not a girl, and doesn't have to deal with that part of having babies. Ever. Ever, ever. "No. No, he doesn't. Unless he intends on following you, and not ever leaving your side until he's 30 and ready to be an uncle. I think he may have better things to do though. Like spend time vith Polly, or condition his hair."

Molly nods and giggles. "You know I totally wouldn't put it past him to try, until he realised it cut into his hair washing and Polly time. Between him and Fabian, there's, like, never any hot water left," she confides. "Sometimes it's easier to set an alarm for, like, two A.M. just to get a decent shower in!"

Viktor chuckles. "I never understood their obsession vith hair, but that might have something to do vith my lack of long, flowing hair," he says with a laugh. "This school has plenty of long haired guys. I feel like I should start my own club for buzz cuts," he suggests as he pats the top of his head.
