Re: The Library: A Study Table
"He means a lot to me, I'd do pretty much anything for him, this is nothing, really," he said honestly, making sure he had everything. "Good luck on your date, Remus. I'm sure you'll sweep him away with that cute smile of yours," he said with a winking, waving as he left.
Re: The Library: A Study Table
Remus waves farewell to Caradoc as he leaves. He's still curious as to who Rad's friend was, and he was sure, whoever this other werewolf was, he was a very lucky guy to have a great friend like Rad. Remus isn't entirely sure about Rad's comment though - he's never really considered himself 'cute' so that whole 'sweeping Viktor away with his cute smile' didn't seem very likely to happen. Ah well. Remus, for some reason, doesn't really feel like being here right now anymore so he leaves, heading off to who knows where. Maybe the kitchen. He hasn't made anything in a while and he still has to make that desert for Dean.

Re: The Library: A Study Table
Well...this is a real post in the little spoiler box thing...it's just over 3,000 words so I didn't want to take up the thread with my late-night Scorpius ramblings.
Scorp entered and left though...so the thread is free XD
- Spoiler:
- Scorpius entered the library quietly, glad to find that it was relatively empty at this time of day. It wasn’t that he did not want people to see him step foot in a library, it was more of the fact that he didn’t want to see them. He briefly wondered if that made him an anti-social twat, but realized that with the state of mind he was recently in, it was better this way. Grabbing a table behind one of the bookshelves, he took out his potions book as if he were actually going to try and study from it. That idea was preposterous though, as he found that many thoughts had been plaguing his mind recently. It was a whole slew of problems, but the main two being Draco and Rose. Never before had he thought that he would have problems with either of them, yet lo and behold he was in this position.
If one problem pissed him off more than another, it was definitely the recent situations he had landed himself in with his cousin. Twice he had fallen victim to attacks, all because Draco was too blind to see the truth. It was as if anything Scorpius said had fallen on deaf ears as he tried to defend himself. Draco had none of it. Scorp could see why Draco was reluctant to understand in see reason, for both situations with Pansy looked far from good. The first, in the hallway, had been a simple joke between friends. Their friendly peck, which Pansy deemed as disgusting, had been taken completely out of context. Yet when Scorpius tried to explain this to Draco, his cousin had punched him in the face. That had been a wake up all of many. It was as if he’d have to watch everything he did with Pansy, for apparently do more than vocally react. It was clear as day that Draco had feelings for Pansy, yet Scorpius couldn’t help but want the two to stay apart from each other. Who could blame him after what happened in the dorm? Another misunderstanding that Draco so violently reacted to, hurting not only Scorpius but Pansy as well.
It was unsettling, for Draco had been more than rough as of lately. Never before had Scorpius seen this side of his cousin and he could only hope it disappeared quickly. With the way Draco was acting, Scorp knew that he would have to continue to try to distance Pansy from him, yet that seemed like an impossible action.
As Scorpius sat, attempting to read his potions book but getting lost in his thoughts instead, he could not help but feel a sense of guilt wash over him. It had been ages since he had seen Pansy; ages since he had checked up on her. It was as if he were afraid though. Afraid of how she was taking everything, afraid of how he would handle himself if the topic were to come up, and more than afraid of how she undoubtedly still viewed Draco. He knew that she would somehow find a way to defend his actions, for that was the type of person she was. Even when Scorp managed to fuck up, she would still be able to see some sort of good in him.
The thought of fucking up made him groan, for his thoughts soon shifted to his other recent problem, Rose. Never before had he considered her of any sort of importance; finding her existence to be rather displeasing. She was everywhere. In classes, in the hallways, in the Great Hall, on the pitch, in the showers, in the library. It was impossible to avoid her and for that reason he found himself slowly succumbing to the fact that she really wasn’t all that bad. In fact, he rather found that he liked messing with her; enjoying the ways that her eyes narrowed at him, her voice raising slightly as she told him off, how annoyed she got when he touched her. It was as if he couldn’t quite get enough.
The fact remained though that it was unbelievably wrong. That fact stemmed from one thing, their families. He was a Malfoy and she would forever be a Weasley. The two names were never ones to get along and coincide peacefully with one another. It had been drilled into his mind by his father that Weasleys were scum and that it was best to avoid them. Perhaps though, that that was another reason he felt himself drawn to Rose.
Sure her distaste towards him was enough of an amusement, but Scorpius could not deny that she was attractive. Furthermore, if his father was so against the Weasleys, then it seemed as though pursuing one would only anger him more. The idea was more than appealing, sending his father a wake up call in that he was one of the worst fathers in existence. Sure, Scorpius had never been physically punished or too drastically verbally punished either, but his father’s distance and withdrawn nature towards Scorpius was more than enough to fuel a hatred. It was neglect and if it wasn’t for his mother, Scorpius wasn’t sure what kind of person he would be today.
He recalled how his father would say minimal words to him, never holding and never touching. Ever since Scorpius could remember, once formal dinner was over, his father would retire to his study and lock himself away. Scorp hadn’t understood for a long time, wondering what sort of appeal a desk and papers could have compared to his mum and him. It was when he was ten though, quietly venturing into the study one morning, that he had discovered countless empty glass bottles in a closet. He wasn’t stupid, he knew what those bottles were for he had always seen adults being served beverages during formal parties, beverages that he wasn’t allowed to drink for he was “too little”. If that was how his father chose to cope though, what was Scorpius going to do. He had left the study that day, realizing that never again would he bother with seeking for the attention he so clearly wasn’t going to be given.
He had been done with impressing his father, tired with wanting more from a man that cared so little for his son. Even when sorted into Slytherin, only a small “Congratulations” was sent to him. He had burnt that letter in the Slytherin common room that very day, his cousin by his side and convincing Scorpius that his father was “a stupid butt trumpet who doesn’t deserve anything.” Draco had been right and Scorpius had been officially done with trying.
Now though, he couldn’t help but wonder what would happen if his father found out about Rose. It wasn’t as if he was going to start a relationship with her, though there was quite a bit of appeal with that thought. It wasn’t as though he would date her because of his father’s disapproval; it was because Scorpius actually felt himself caring. It was a bizarre feeling, one that he had never felt for a girl before. It was as if he was unable to get Rose off his mind, yet he knew that he truly had messed things up.
If there was forced distance between the two of them before, then Scorpius didn’t even want to know what him and Rose were doing now. There was no eye contact, no glances, no touching, no exchanged words. He felt inexplicably bad for what had happened in the library, yet he didn’t quite regret it. It was more so the fact that he took something of importance from her, her virginity, and left her without care of how she could possibly be feeling afterwards. It made him a horrible person and he found himself unable to talk to anyone about it. His first thought was to find Al, his best male friend, but he quickly pushed that thought out of his mind. After all, that conversation would not go down so well. “Oh hey mate! How are you? I’m doing alright, pretty jolly after banging your cousin in the library.” No. It just wouldn’t do. Scorpius didn’t fancy getting beaten up again but someone of importance in his life.
Thoughts of Al brought him to one realization, that he was more than happy to now be dorming with his bro. Not only was he distancing himself from Draco, but he was able to bond with friend even more. Their friendship was truly unique, and he sort of wondered what his father would say about being bros with a Potter. The thought made Scorpius chuckled slightly, for that also brought forth him thinking of what happened recently in the showers. Perhaps he would send a letter to his father, claiming he was now engaged to Albus Severus Potter and that he expected his father to pay for the wedding. The reaction would be priceless enough, though perhaps it would be even better if he waited to do it in person. Maybe over Holidays, and he could even have Al come and visit and get his father even more worked up. The whole thought was more than amusing and he figured he really would have to go to Al and see what he thought. He sort of wondered what would be worse, telling his father that he was dating Albus or dating Rose, but figured that both reactions would just be more than horrible, if not deadly hilarious.
Thinking back to who he could talk to about Rose, he immediately ruled out going to Draco about it, for the slimy bastard was never going to get any sort of forgiveness out of Scorpius. He then considered going to his BFF, but couldn’t even face himself to do that. Not only had they not talked recently, but he couldn’t bear to face the ‘I told you so’ looks. With that, his only other option would be to talk to Viktor, but he figured that his new buddy wouldn’t quite understand. It wasn’t as if he wanted to keep anything from Viktor, but without true insight on Scorpius and Rose’s background, he did not think that the offered advice would help any.
He supposed that there was one other person that he could potentially seek guidance from, but the idea was more than ridiculous. He had not seen his cousin Lucius at all since returning to school, and he was pretty sure that he didn’t quite mind. It wasn’t that he and his cousin didn’t get along very well, they were able to get along on rather pleasant terms, but Scorpius found that the two of them had very little in common. His cousin was hardly quiet with his distaste towards muggleborns and halfbloods, yet Scorpius saw them as people nonetheless. To Scorp, everyone at Hogwarts had the same amount of “magic” in their blood and that it wasn’t something that was affected by one’s parents. This was the major difference between Lucius and Scorpius, yet Scorp knew there were still a few things that he and his cousin seemed to have in common. The biggest similarity would be their love of sex. It was no secret that Malfoys had quite the insatiable hunger for sex, and if Scorp mentioned to Lucius that he had fucked a girl in the library…his cousin would undoubtedly approve. Now, if Scorpius were to mention that that person had been Rose Weasley, well…that was a whole other problem. Not only would Lucius verbally protest, but Scorpius feared that he would physically protest as well. After all, there was something about Lucius that made Scorpius think of his grandfather, and it was not a good connection to say the least.
It seemed as though he really had no one to go to after all. Either way that he looked at the situation, it seemed that there would be something holding him back from finding someone to talk to about his thoughts. It seemed as though he was alone with learning how to cope with this new, extremely odd, thing he was starting to feel. It was as if he actually cared for a girl in much more of a “quick fuck against the shower wall” kind of way. Still, he did not like the fact that he was going to have to sort through his feelings on his own.
With that thought in mind, Scorpius found staring in the direction of his potions book, the words not consumed by his mind at all. There was nothing he could do about either problem right now, at least not until one of the other parties stepped forth. There was no way in hell he was going to go seek out Draco, yet he knew that if his cousin were to seek him, he would be very reluctant to listen. In terms of Rose, he supposed that he really ought to apologize to her, but could not see that conversation going well at all. How does one apologize for taking away something so precious to girls, then leaving said girl quickly and alone. With Rose’s temper too, he was sure to be dead.
He snapped his potions book closed quickly, for it was clear he wasn’t going to be getting any work done and the words were just blurring together on the page. He thought of how perhaps he should find something else to occupy his mind with, though the only thing he could think of was researching tattoos more.
Scorpius felt more than thankful towards Viktor for helping Scorp discover just what to do when he got out of Hogwarts. Not only was it something that was right up his alley, but he thought it would send one good and final message home to his father. One of those, “take this for what it is or shove it up your arse” kind of deals. He was glad that he was going to do something with his life that he would undoubtedly enjoy. He thought of just what the tattoo parlour could look like, perhaps one day having a staff that he would manage. The customers, all flooding in as they waited for tattoos. The pretty girls, undoubtedly quite a few getting tattoos in places that Scorpius would very much enjoy. The thought though then led him to wonder what Rose would look like with a tattoo and he found himself groaning at the thought. She was consuming his thoughts way too much and it was beginning to seriously concern him.
Perhaps thinking about his future business plan was the wrong idea after all, for his thoughts truly did end up back on Rose again, but this time her body much more so then a general recount of their actions. She was alluring, he’d give her that, and she had seemed to fit against his body perfectly. He was slightly bothered by that fact, yet in a way amused. Two people, with once such vocal hate for each other, had been able to come together in such a way that seemed almost effortless.
Why. Why was it her? Why was it Rose Weasley and not any other girl? Why did he feel as though she was going to be the one to change him?
He thought about all of the other girls he had been in contact with and compared them to Rose. What exactly was it that made her so different from all of them? Perhaps it had to do with how she often reacted to his actions and administrations. Whenever he had made teasing comments or even touched her lightly, she had a negative response towards him. All other girls, with very minimal probing, seemed to throw themselves at him or gave in with little persuasion. The only other person who would not give in to any funny business if he were to attempt it, was Pansy. This fact though did not bother him in the slightest. Him and Pansy were much better suited as best friends and he often viewed her as a sibling that he had never had. Though, that sibling line was often blurred, for it would just be down right wrong for him to think of Pansy as a sibling, when he was unable to deny how attractive she was. He knew though, that he would never want anything of the romantic sort of happen between them. It just wouldn’t be right. They were much better of as friends and he was positive that she felt the same.
That still didn’t mean that he was comfortable with her going to the guy she so clearly still had her sights on. Though he hadn’t spoken with her recently, he was sure that she still harboured some sort of feelings for Draco and that she was going to eventually give him a second change. Even if Scorpius were to protest, he knew that it would probably be of no use.
He supposed that he really ought to see her sometime soon, make sure that she was coping alright and that Draco’s actions hadn’t had a detrimental effect on her. During all the time that he had known Pansy, he had never been so at a loss of what to say in order to comfort her. It wasn’t that they had ever held back on expressing their views, yet he knew that their opinions on Draco and he’s recent actions would greatly differ. Perhaps he would make her some sort of food with nutella and have a nice little chat and try and work through some of their problems.
With a sigh, Scorpius figured that perhaps a quiet library was the worst place for him to come. His thoughts were too loud for him to focus on class work and he supposed that leaving would just be the better option. Placing his book back into his bag, he quietly stood up from the table and made his way out of the library and back to the common room.
Scorp entered and left though...so the thread is free XD

Viktor walks in here, hoping to run into Hermione to say hello, but no luck. So instead he just sits down to read a book about potions so he'll be more prepared when he sees Rolf again.

Re: The Library: A Study Table
Aurelia walks into the library, returning a stack of books, and begins to look through the shelves, humming. She'd been doing that a lot recently, probably because she'd been listening to more music or something. She'd only found one book she wanted to take out, a fairly light book she'd read before that was the story of an Animagus traveling the world and finding their animal in all the different myths. As she turned around to keep looking at the shelves, she spotted Viktor Krum sitting alone. She nearly ran and ducked behind a shelf, but forced herself to calm down. Quidditch player. He won't eat me just because he looks intimidating. Kras didn't. Kras also suggested I say hello if I got the chance...I hope he won't mind that he didn't get to introduce me.
Taking a deep breath, she walked over to the table where Viktor was seated. "Um..hi. Mind if I join you?" Merlin, I sound like a stupid fangirl! Too late now though.

Viktor is deep in thought as he reads his book. Well, sort of. His mind keeps drifting off to thoughts of Parvati's feet from yesterday. They sure were amazing. He glances up when he hears someone talking to him and gives the girl a friendly smile. He notices that she's wearing Hufflepuffs robes, and out of all the Puffs he's met so far, he's liked all of them. "No, not at all. Sit," he says politely as he gestures to the chair across from him. "I'm Viktor, by the vay," he introduces because it's hard to tell when he's met a Quidditch fan or not, so he's learned to stop assuming that everyone knows who he is.

Aurelia is impressed he doesn't assume everyone knows him. "Thanks! And that's for introducing yourself too. I was afraid you'd be one of those conceited prodigies. " She grinned, sitting down and laying the book on the table in front of her. "My name's Aurelia....but you can call me Aura. Friend of mine suggested I talk to you if I got the chance, so I'm going to hope they don't mind missing the opportunity to introduce me."

Viktor chuckles. "I try not to be," he said grinning as he moved some of his books out of the way to give her more room for her own studying supplies. "Aura. That's a pretty name. Nice to meet you. Er- Vot friend vos is it that you talked to if you don't mind me asking?" he asks curiously.

"Thanks! " She grinned, curious and sort of thrilled that she's talking to Viktor Krum because she's not a fangirl but he IS famous. "Kras. Um, Krasimir." Aurelia wasn't sure how many people would know him by a nickname. She waited to hear his reaction, ever curious.

"Kras!? He's von of my best friends! He just transfered to Hogvarts this year as vell," he says happily, glad to see that his Bulgarian friend is already making new friends in his own house. "He's a really sweet guy. You'll like him a lot," he says, thinking of how Kras is such a papa bear.

"Yeah! He told me you guys were close! We just met the other day, and so far I do like him a lot, so i'm sure you're right. He is super sweet, he carried my books for me...and they'd fallen in the first place because I ran into him!" She giggled, embarrassed, but happy that she had a friend. "I'm a fifth year, so I don't have classes with you guys, but since i'm in the same House as Kras i'm sure i'll see him a lot. It's funny, I didn't notice many of the new students, now it seems like they're everywhere! No offense, of course..Hogwarts and it's students are quite happy to have everyone here."

"That sounds like Kras to me. Alvays the gentleman." Viktor grinned and nodded in agreement with her statement about the new students. "Yes, it seems like I chose the right year to transfer here. There are a lot of other transfers apparently, though I only know Kras and Caradoc so far. But everyvon here seems really velcoming so far. I really like Hogvarts, so I'm glad I ended up coming here to study for my last year of schooling."

"I'm sure just about everyone in Hogwarts is glad you did too!" She grinned, rolling her eyes. "Aside from the fangirls, we've got our pride. All of us. Well, the Puff's less, sometimes, I guess?" Aurelia shrugged. "What's Durmstrang like? If you don't mind me asking, I mean, it's just...a different school...i'm curious."

"Puffs are pretty awesome. I'm friends vith a lot of them. People like Cedric, Rad, Kras, and now you," he grinned. "Durmstrang vos okay. The castle vos a lot smaller, but the grounds vere really nice during the varmer months. During vinter it vos too dark to even be outside during the day. And I didn't like the beliefs taught at the school about Muggleborns and muggles. I like this school much more."

"YES! Someone who gets it! My House has such a pathetic reputation! I actually only know Rad and Kras in my house...I sort of don't spend much time there. " She looked guiltily away, because for someone so proud of her House she really should want to live in her dorm. Or something. Maybe not.
"It's good that this school is better for your views. I mean, some Slytherins can be pretty bad, but generally people are alright. I wouldn't know first hand though. I don't talk to enough people, and my parents are half-blood...so my history is nothing they can scoff at. Not that they have good reason for scoffing at anyone's." She fell silent, realizing she was rambling.

Viktor grinned at Aura, glad to see that Hufflepuff pride had gone up since the last time he was at this school. "I keep hearing that about the Slytherins, but I haven't met any of them yet. I've only met Scorpius and he seems nice, but apparently there are a lot of nasty vons out there vith bad views. I honestly don't see how they can really believe that blood has anything to do vith it. Von of my best friends is a muggleborn and she's the brightest vitch I've ever met. A lot better than many of the purebloods at Durmstrang."

"I don't know either! It's got nothing to go with ancestry...but everyone needs a cause for pride." She shrugged and gave him an exasperated smile. "Really, they could all be angels for all I know. I haven't really talked to any Slytherins." Aura tried her best to be fair, always. Because Puff's are. Even to Slytherins.

Viktor smiled, liking Aura's personality and the way she viewed other people. "I did meet Lucius and Severus briefly. They veren't the friendliest of people, but I know there are definitely nice Slytherins out there. Scorpius and I actually have a lot in common, and I like spending time vith him. That's von thing I liked about Durmstrang. Ve didn't have houses, so ve didn't have problems like this. Apparently there's a lot of tension between some of the houses here."
