Severus grimaced as Sirius came blundering through, anticipating the inevitable attack on his greasiness and general worthlessness, and Sirius, true to his nature, provides both. "I was just lea-- oh. Well then," he said, shooting Sirius a look of scorn as he bolts from the library, chased by a cat. "I officially like cats," he muttered under his breath, looking at Lily. "Er, I'm sorry-- should I just go?"

Lily sighs, because Inner!Hermione didn't point out that this would've been a prime moment for throwing a book at someone until it was too late. She looks at Severus and shrugs. "It's a free country, do what you want. Or ask your Slytherin buddies - you just follow that crowd now anyway, don't you?" she says, spurred on to lash out by her own discomfort and annoyance at the whole situation.

And Sad, Pouty, Dejected Snape walks to the corner of the library and curls up with his books about bunnies and waits for Lily to go away so he can cry his little bunny heart out.

There is a short delay while Mya laughs a lot, and still maintains that that bunny looks like it could be dead. JS.
Lily's eyes sparkle with annoyance, and maybe a tinge of regret if she ever stops to analyze it, and she stuffs her book back in her bag. "Can't even come to the Library anymore," she mutters to herself and heads for the exit, shooting one last look over at her ex best friend as she goes.
