Re: The Library: A Study Table
Aurelia winced, but nodded slowly. "Unfortunately. From what I can tell, Gryffindors tend to be the most carefree, Slytherins try to lord themselves over everyone, and Ravenclaws tend to have brilliance and pride to a quite high extent. Nobody seems to even think much of Hufflepuff. Like we're not as good as anyone else!" Aurelia opened her mouth to continue her rant, but stopped and smiled. "Er...yes, quite a proud Puff you're talking to."

[Okay! I'll just post and you can reply whenever. I should be on tomorrow during the day. Night!]
Viktor grinned. "It's fine. I like people that are proud of their house, or whoever they are in general. I know mostly Gryffindors and Hufflepuffs. Only vonRavenclaw and von Slytherin, and I can see how they vould fit into their house but they're all still awesome people. And I think Puffs are just as good as any house. I mean, you're all particularly good finders, no?"

"We're AWESOME finders! I mean, what would the other houses do without us? They'd ALL need Remembralls or something!" She grinned proudly. "I mean, we all have plenty of flaws...everyone! I'm sure I overlook some flaw of my House as I praise it, but we all need something to be proud of, I think. Some people just get carried away with their pride.."

"Yeah, I've noticed that in some people here. Everyvon vants to think their house is the best ven really I think they're all pretty great. Each von has it's own special qualities that makes it special, and they all have those other qualities that aren't so great. But I vouldn't say von is better than the other," he says with a shrug.

"I agree...I just wish everyone could see it that way. Even I don't always see things that way, but I try to catch myself when I can, because I don't want to think my House is the best, or that any are. 'The Houses that, like pillars four, had once held up the school now turned upon each other and divided sought to rule.' That, and 'though condemned...to split you still I worry that it's wrong.' " She shrugged. "The Sorting Hat said those last bits once. Maybe one day we'll are figure out what that hat knows...that the school is greatest when people get along. "

Viktor smiles and nods. This girl knew what was up apparently. "Vell, I'm sure people vill come to their senses von day. Hopefully. There are definitely a lot of people in this school who've realized that already. There's just the select few that seem to think ve're meant to constantly be competing to see who's the best at everything."

"And they're the loudest!" Aurelia exclaimed, throwing her hands up in frustration before momentarily burying her head in her hands. "Hopefully this day of understanding manages to come before purebloods die out. If it was after, we'd have such minimal progress. Like you say though, at least is isn't everyone."

Viktor sighs and shakes his head. "I guess it'll just take time, really. Hopefully they'll realize how everyvon really is equal. Even muggles," he says with a small smile. "Anyvay, I should probably get going. It vos really nice meeting you though. Hopefully ve'll talk again sometime?" he asks as he starts gathering up his books.

"Yeah, same!" She stood up too, picking up her book and bag. "I'll be sure to tell Kras I met you, and I certainly hope we'll talk again as well!" She gave a little wave of goodbye and a smile, before turning to continue looking though the shelves.

Re: The Library: A Study Table
Bahahaha I love you.
Pansy wanders through the library like she's been doing for a few weeks now, studying dark magic and living in the restricted section more than is healthy and forfeiting meals and sleep for the sake of study. Passing row after row of books, she finally spotted another soul sitting in the abandoned library, happy to see her good ol' buddy Sevvykins. She hurried down the aisle of books toward his table, tapping him on the left shoulder before circling over to sit on his right side. "Hey you!"

I love you too! -misses the pancakes-
Severus jumped in surprise, having been enraptured by the book he was reading, no doubt on a similar subject as Pansy's books. "Hey, Pansy," he said, forcing a slight, stiff smile as he looked up at her. "How're you doing? Researching and studying, I presume?"

"Of course." She reached over and tilted the book Sev was reading, taking a peek at the title on the cover. "Ah. Read that one last week. Not bad. The last few chapters have some cool stuff." Her stomach grumbled, and she put her hand on it as if that would make it be quiet. She smiled almost a little awkwardly and glanced off to the side, as Draco would probably have started shouting upon hearing her stomach do that, as it meant she hadn't eaten in a while. She'd never specify how long that while was. "Anyway, I'm doing alright. Madame Pince was making me put some of my books back. Apparently having nearly a hundred of them out on my study table was unacceptable."
Re: The Library: A Study Table
"I can't imagine her doing that," he said with a half-genuine smile this time, looking up at his sort-of friend. "You wanna join me? It's a quiet table, can't hear the noise of people coming and going, nice place to study," he said, pulling up a chair for her, and rather hoping she'd stay. Upon hearing her stomach growl, he raised a brow. "Hungry much? If you want, I've got another chocolate frog, provided you have better luck with getting them to stay put long enough," he chuckled, pulling one out and offering it to her.

Re: The Library: A Study Table
She sat in the seat he indicated, setting the bag that had been hanging from her shoulder down on the table in front of her. She smiled as he offered her a chocolate frog, as he always seemed to do, but she shook her head. "No, I've already stole hundreds of them from you, and they're your favorite." She rummaged around in her bag, pulling out a little brown paper bag. She opened it to pull out a somewhat squashed sandwich, a bit of jelly oozing out of one side. She licked it off so it wouldn't drip on her or a book or anything. "I'll just eat this, I suppose. A house elf has been showing up pretty much every day with a sandwich for me. I've never asked for them, but apparently he's been given instructions to bring me a sandwich every day that I'm in here." She shrugged, taking a bite.
Re: The Library: A Study Table
"Ah, well, it sounds like someone's looking out for you, then, which is nice," he said, though his eyes flicker up to the moody librarian. "And if Madame Pince ever catches you, I hope you realize you're a dead woman, because there's no way in hell she'd let you live if you got jelly on her sacred texts! Can you imagine the rage, the wrath? It'd be like if someone set Mrs. Norris on fire, and threw her at Filch," he said, laughing quietly at the mental image. "So you're in here everyday, or so it seems?"

Re: The Library: A Study Table
Pansy laughed at the idea of that evil feline on fire, flying through the air into the arms of a wailing Argus Filch. Almost tempting, but she pushed the thought away, leaving something that fun for Bella to do later when she's bored. She took another bite of her sandwich, doubly careful not to get jelly on anything, because as funny as it was, Sev was right. She'd be a dead woman. "Yeah, every day. At least, when I don't get dragged out of here against my will. Draco makes me leave sometimes, says it's not good to spend so much time here. But it's nice and peaceful in here. It's quiet, and I like it."
Re: The Library: A Study Table
"I suppose it's healthy to leave, every once in a while, but as for myself, I like to spend every waking minute here. I wouldn't mind my dormitory, except that I share it with one Lucius Malfoy, and I'd really rather not try to study in their when he's cleaning off his anal beads," he grimaced, wanting nothing more than to smash Lucius' diamond handcuffs with this dirty, dusty textbook. "So yeah, I end up here, where the Gryffindors don't bother me, because I'm not entirely sure the majority of them can read, even if they can pack a punch."

Re: The Library: A Study Table
Pansy cringed slightly at the idea of Lucius doing something like that while Sev was trying to study. "Yeah. I'd go to my dorm as well, but I share with Astoria Greengrass. Enough said." She wrinkled up her nose at the thought of the girl whom she really truly hated more than anything in the world. It wasn't just that she'd 'stolen' Draco, it was that she flaunted the fact in front of Pansy whenever she could, and the fact that she was so incredibly dense that Pansy couldn't even be snarky efficiently with her. She was literally too stupid to insult. "All brawn and no brains. They're all about their supposed bravery, ignoring the fact that most of them got an extra helping of stupidity."
Re: The Library: A Study Table
"And so is there downfall. But you know, it really does get boring, when sarcasm just goes right over their thick heads; it's no fun at all, pushing their buttons, when they spend half the time attempting to comprehend what you've just said, only to give up, and spend the other half of the time punching your lights out, because of their frustration with their own stupidity. Really, though, it's like none of them have ever used a proper comeback in their lives, it's almost pitiful," he replied, scowling as he thought of that Potter and that Black, and now, apparently, that Krum, who appeared to be all muscle, and no brain whatsoever, the way he'd done whatever Black had instructed.

Re: The Library: A Study Table
"It is pretty pathetic. And Astoria doesn't even have the excuse of being a Gryffindor, she's just thick." Pansy laughed, thinking of the times she and the blonde had gone at it, usually at the breakfast table when Pansy had just been trying to have a normal conversation with Draco until the little ditz came simpering up to him. "It's sad, the times she thinks she's being clever." pansy shook her head, rolling her eyes because she knew where Sev was coming from as far as intelligently used sarcasm being useless, though she'd never been beaten up. Well, at least not by Astoria. She stopped her train of thoughts right there, before she got angry or confused again. "Besides studying, or insulting idiots who can't think and just punch, what've you been up to?"
Re: The Library: A Study Table
"Don't know Astoria all that well myself, and I can't say that I'd like to get to know her, either, judging from what you've said," he remarked, smiling slightly again, and that's the third almost smile he's had today-- it's gotta be a new record, or something. "Wait, you seriously think I have more of a life than studying and dealings with Gryffindors? It's like you don't know me at all, Pansy! Really, what did you think, it's not like I'm the type to go to that party tonight, or whatever, though I thought you might be going, or something. Are you?" he asked curiously, wondering if Pansy was the sort of girl who'd go, if Draco wanted to go with her.

Re: The Library: A Study Table
She laughed as he was so appalled with her question. "Well you can't blame me for having hope of you discovering something, dare I say it, FUN to do every once in a while." She couldn't help smiling at him, almost unable to imagine Sev doing anything he would ever call 'fun'. The idea just seemed ridiculous. She shook her head as he mentioned the party. "I didn't even know there was one. I've not exactly been social lately with anyone but Draco when he popped into the library to lecture me about staying here so long, or to check up on what I'm reading and worry for my reputation because of my book choices." She shrugged. "So I guess the answer's no."
