Re: The Library: A Study Table
Lily sighs, because clearly Potter cannot just be quiet for five minutes, even in a Library. She looks up from her book, failing to notice that he looks like he's about to cry as she always does, because the idea of Potter really having feelings in any way, shape or form is rather a foreign concept to her. There isn't room for emotion around all that arrogance, you see. "Potter, you do realise you're in the Library, right? Are you lost? What are you doing in here, and can you go away now that you know where you are?"

Re: The Library: A Study Table
James looked around. "The library? Really? Hadn't noticed. Must have been too busy pretending t - I mean reading." He certainly hadn't been waiting for her. Of course not. He definitely didn't know Lily's schedule down to the minute, including when she normally went to the library to study, and what effect her moods might have on her studying regime. Because James isn't a stalker. Certainly not. "But hey, now that I'm here... and you're here... We could, like, be here together."

"Shouldn't be surprised that you don't seem to know where you are," Lily mutters. "Look, Potter - I may be here, and you may be here, but we are not here. We will never be anywhere. Now if you're not going to go away, sit quietly and continue pretending to read while I study, or I'll tell Madam Pince you burn books in your free time," she says, arching a fine eyebrow and tossing her hair over her shoulder.

"Oh come on, Evans. You know how pronouns work. You are here. I am here. We are here. However, if you needed tutoring on the subject... " He winked and smile, running his hand through his hair again like he do.

Lily laughs. Quietly of course, because she's in the Library. "You're going to tutor me? Merlin, Potter, that's the first time I think I've ever actually heard you say something funny."

Re: The Library: A Study Table
Viktor walks into the library because it's Wednesday, and that means it is Best Friend time. He's sitting down at a table, looking through a book that he's totally going to forget about once Hermione shows up because she's more interesting than any book.

Hermione walks into the Library because her schedule tells her that it is indeed Best Friend Day. She smiles softly and slips into the seat next to Viktor. She starts getting her books out because even though she really will just end up talking to Viktor, she can't be sitting still for more than two minutes and not have something she could learn from in front of her. "Hello Viktor, how are you?"

Re: The Library: A Study Table
Viktor grins when Hermione sits down next to him, not surprised by her books because if she didn't take them out, he'd assume she was an impostor of some sort. "Hello Herm-own-ninny," he greets happily. "I've been pretty great," he answers, thinking of bathroom time with Rolf. "How have you been?" he asks, his book already forgotten.

"I've been really great as well," Hermione grins, fiddling with her quill and thinking of the times she's spent with Luna in the RoR. She watches the way Viktor smiles and chews her lip, wondering what's been going on with her best friend to make him look so happy. "What's got you in such a good mood, then?" she asks.

Re: The Library: A Study Table
Viktor blinks and looks back down at the book. Suddenly it's a lot more interesting than it was a few minutes ago. Hm. How to explain this to his best friend. Obviously he couldn't keep it a secret from her, but he wasn't quite sure how to tell her that he was happy because had a lot of sexy time in the bathroom with Rolf. "Just been spending a lot of time vith Rolf," he says, giving her a meaningful look that he hopes will explain the rest of the story.

"Oh, that's nice," Hermione says blandly. Then she processes the look Viktor is giving her and her eyes widen just a little and skitter back to her own books. "OH." She falls silent, because she still doesn't know what to say in these situations. "Um, congratulations?" she tries, even though she's pretty sure that's not quite right for the occasion. Should she get him a card?

Re: The Library: A Study Table
Viktor chuckles and gently traced the cover of his book, still smiling over Hermione's reaction. "Yeah," he said, not sure of what else to say because it wasn't as easy to talk about this kind of stuff with his best friend as it was to talk about with Molly or Cedric. "So, vot's been putting you in such a good mood?" he asks, remembering that she had replied with a 'really great' compared to just your standard 'great.'

Re: The Library: A Study Table
Hermione hopes that Viktor just boils her sudden flustered little flail down to her lingering awkward at his revelation, and nothing to do with her own personal life and that she's most certainly not blushing because having sex with her secret girlfriend has been putting her in such a fantastic mood. She smiles and shrugs. "Oh, no real reason. My mother sent me a couple more novels for when I've done with my homework. That was nice of her," Hermione comments, even though the novels themselves look like the sort of trashy romances that Hermione would never touch.

Re: The Library: A Study Table
Viktor smiled at her answer, though he had sort of been expecting something else. Then again, Hermione would be the type to have books make her week 'really great' which Viktor will keep in mind the next time he's at a bookstore. "That vos nice," he agrees, still smiling like he always does when he's around his best friend. "For light reading? Or...To hit me vith ven I make annoying comments," he teases, mentally bracing himself, though he's pretty sure he won't get a smack for that one.

Re: The Library: A Study Table
Hermione smirks. "Oh please. Novels aren't nearly heavy enough for me to smack you with. Why do you think I carry around textbooks all day? Aside from the obvious, of course."

Re: The Library: A Study Table
"Oh, vell of course. I just thought maybe you'd downgrade to novels to go easy on me now that I'm here for the year and all. You have plenty more opportunities to hit me all you vant," he said with a grin, hoping that by the end of the year he'll learn to just not feel the smacks at all, even though the size of his arms sort of prevent them from doing too much damage.

Re: The Library: A Study Table
Hermione gives Viktor a look laced with false confusion. "Why would I want to do that? Go easy on you, I mean. Shouldn't you be trying to not earn a smack with a book to begin with? Really, have a little consideration - you'll damage the books," she says, sounding completely and utterly serious.

Re: The Library: A Study Table
Viktor blinks and stares at Hermione. "Um. The books? Vot about my arms? Those are important for being a seeker. Vot do you expect me to do instead, catch the snitch my mouth?" he asks, oblivious to the fact that Harry Potter did that a long time ago, back before he even knew Hermione or Cedric. "Trying not to earn it," he muses, stroking his goatee in the process. "I suppose I could, though it's not like I'm trying to get smacked. It just...happens. I don't realize vot I'm saying until, you know, after I feel a book hitting my arm," he says with a smirk.

"Oh, you know your arms can take it. Look at them!" she says, poking the muscles lightly, with a little smirk playing around the corners of her lips. "Besides, you could easily catch the snitch with your mouth. Harry did that back in first year. Did he never tell you that story?" she wonders. "Not much to it, I suppose. He nearly choked on it, but it counted. It was his very first game."

Re: The Library: A Study Table
Viktor chuckled as Hermione poked him, she had a point. He really should feel sorry for the books. "Vell in that case, give the books my sincerest apologies," he said, smirking up until her next comment. He felt a slight twinge of jealously. Well, isn't Harry just brilliant. Though he did catch the compliment thrown in there; that Hermione thought he could easily do the same. "In my mouth. Vell, guess I'll have to vork on that for my next trick, von't I? Apparently the Wronski Feint isn't enough to impress Miss. Granger."

"You're very talented on the Quidditch pitch," Hermione says, as if it's the most obvious thing in the world. Which it actually kind of is. "It's just not something I'm particularly interested in the finer details of the sport, and couldn't tell a Wonky Faint apart from a Straight one," she shrugs.
