Molly is wearing her serious face because this is indeed serious business. "Of course you're my favourite brother of all time. Like, ohmyGod, duh! We've totally been over this - you get the cream cheese frosting and the free Special Cookies and I totally get the hugs and the personal bodyguard whether I want one or not, right?" she says brightly. She licks the frosting off her own spoon and then points the clean spoon in the direction of the oven. "The cake bit can come out now. But ohmyGod, like, use the oven mitts. Seriously. This frosting is way too good to wait for me to fix your hands if you burn yourself," she warns.

Gideon wonders where, if Molly wasn't previously wearing her serious face, where does she keep that, along with all her other faces? Does she have a cupboard for her faces? "Yep, that sounds just about right!" He exclaims. He reaches forward to grab a tiny more frosting from the bowl before putting his spoon in the sink and, making sure he has oven mitts on, grabbing the cake and removing it from the oven. He puts it carefully on the bench before asking, "So, what next, Captain?"

All of Molly's faces are just under the surface, fighting it out to see which one gets to be on top. Kind of like when the T-1000 gets killed and his face all changes up through all the forms he took on and stuff, only with less dying. She watches intently, being a very attentive supervisor as Gideon removes the cake from the oven and sets it on the bench. Then she greams a little deviously. "Well, now m'dear assistant... although if I'm the Captain that totally makes you the one that peels the potatoes in the galley, right? Votever. Anyway, as I was saying before I was, like, rudely interrupted by myself, we have two options. See, I could do a nifty little cooling spell and the cake would be cooled enough for the frosting and we could roll it up and be finished. Or we could, like, let it cool the natural way and eat more frosting. Whaddaya think?" she asks, even though she's already dipping her own spoon back into the cream cheese mixture.

Gideon is glad there is less dying involved in this process. Very glad indeed. "As to decision making, well, as Captain that is yours to make. But still, I vote we eat more frosting!" He says happily, reaching into the sink for his spoon again. And yes, that was a super short post, but AJ is tired, and Gideon doesn't chatter too much.

Molly would be sad if Gideon chattered as much as she did, because then who would be listening? You have to have talkers and listeners in life, and Molly doesn't do very well with listening. Her eyes widen and serious face bubbles to the surface once more. "This is, like, a big moment right here. The sort of decision every Captain totally both relishes and dreads. Make the wrong move now and, like, we both suffer, and - oh, bugger it, who am I kidding we're totally going for the frosting!" she breaks, giggling lightly and digging her spoon back in. "And, like, cheers to good decisions that lead to cream cheese frosting," she says, laughing and holding her spoon up to clink against Gideon's as if they were glasses and not cutlery.

Gideon likes to not chatter so much because a) it's Molly's job, and b) he likes to keep a little mystery about himself, yes sirree. Besides, he actually likes to listen to Molly's chatter - it's soothing. He reaches over and tops up his spoon again - gotta love that frosting! - before holding it up and clinking them before licking the frosting off again. "So, how much do we need to save?" He grins.

Molly talks a lot, but she rarely really says anything. And her whole week has pretty much just been made because Gideon likes her chatter, so Molly greams, clinks spoons, and licks the frosting off her own. "Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeell," she says, drawing the word out with a little smirk and glancing at the plentiful supplies on the bench next to her. "I guess I could, like, totally make another batch," she offers, because really, there is no quantity of cream cheese frosting that could possibly stand a chance against not one, but two Prewett stomachs. "Maybe I should, like, take up jogging or something, except I don't like the shoes," she says, tilting her head to the side and contemplating the vast amounts of sugar and fat they are currently consuming.

See, Gideon is kinda the opposite; he doesn't talk as much, but usually what he says is at least a little important. Usually. He smirks in return at his sister. "Maybe I should too, I mean, we can't look this awesome without any work for long... Not if we keep eating this frosting." He says, wondering how little exercise he could actually get away with in the grand scheme of things.

"I'm tired, can't we just be Death Eaters?"
Molly shrugs and pulls a pouty little face. "Ugh, just, like, everything about jogging would suck. The shoes, the outfits - like, ohmyGod as if I would be seen dead in either sweats or spandex! And ohmyGod sweating! Gross! What sort of Prewett would let themselves be seen in public in that sort of state? Ew. There's got to be, like, a spell or whatever to replace jogging, right?" she says hopefully, helping herself to yet another gigantic spoonful of cream cheese frosting.

Gideon shrugs as well. "You are so right, Mol. So right. All the outfits are so lame. Maybe walking? That way you won't sweat as much..." He privately thinks that maybe going for a run would be a good way to show off to the ladies (Viktor Krum in Goblet in Fire, anyone?) him and his chest - who said you had to wear a shirt while running? Not Gideon, that's for sure. "There must be a spell for that..." He muses, grabbing some more frosting himself.

"Walking?" Molly laughs, while Inner!Hermione goes into lala land over GoF Viktor. "Like, ohmyGod what is that all about anyway? I totally don't get it! I mean, we do that like every freakin' day - for heaps long distances and stuff too if you're going to Astronomy or Care of Magical Creatures or whatever, you know - and then later people are supposed to, like, walk to get nowhere just 'cause? Whatever," she says, tossing her hair over her shoulder and summarily dismissing the notion of walking as a sport. "I mean, it's like those weird muggles who say, like, darts are a sport or something, you know?"

"Or chess," laughs Gideon, "I mean, who are they kidding? It's a game, sure, but they're not sports. And we do walk a lot, I suppose." He grins, finally deciding he has had enough frosting, and tossing his spoon across the kitchen, watching it land neatly in the sink. "So, is this the part where we finish this off?"

Molly giggles. "Chess is, like, for old dudes sitting in parks with pants all the way up to their armpits," she announces, and then tosses her own spoon to follow Gideon's into the sink and jumps off the counter. "Sure, let's get this done. Here, you grab the cake pan and I'll spread the frosting," she suggests, grabbing a spatula and getting ready to spread the frosting. Oops. They've eaten just a little over half, but Molly can make do just fine. She's Molly, after all, and she knows exactly how to make a little go a long way, being so little herself.

Gideon smirks. "So true, so true. Sometimes you can't even tell where their pants end and arms begin!" And with that, he grabs the pan, as suggested by his Captain (Oh Captain, My Captain), and holds it still while Molly begins spreading the frosting. He's sure it'll fit - after all, if Molly can't with her awesome cooking skills, then nobody can.

"Uh huh. I, like, don't even know how they get pants like that. Or belts strong enough to hold them there. It's way freaky," Molly chatters as she spreads the frosting, naturally managing to make it cover the surface even in its slightly depleted state. She smirks, because she's just that damned good sometimes. "Ok, now we just sort of, like, roll it up and it'll be all good! You know, how we used to, like, gang up on Ali and Fay and then roll them up in blankets and tie them with belts? Only, you know, no belts here. Or blankets, really. Just sort of a cakey blanket of pumpkiny goodness."

Gideon smiles, reminiscing. "Oh yeah... You know, sometimes I feel sorry for them for when we used to do that. But it's okay, don't worry - I get over that soon enough. They got us back, if I remember rightly. Wasn't that the time they decided to cover us with pillows and push us down the stairs? If it turns out I have brain damage later in life, I'm blaming them, by the way." He nods decisively, taking a step back. "As Captain, you should do the rolling up. Also, if it's ruined then it's totally not my fault."

Molly greams because reminiscing a Prewett childhood is always going to be fun. "Yeah. That was kinda fun though. And they did spend, like, three hours or something all tied up in those blankets before they figured out how to get free? Totally worth it." She ignores the obvious opening about Gideon's symptoms of brain damage, distracted by his next words. Her mouth forms a perfectly horrified little 'o' shape and she whacks his shoulder with her spatula, leaving a frostingy imprint. "Uh, ohmyGod, what? As if there's even, like, a chance of it being ruined with me on the case! Duh!" And to prove her point, she expertly rolls up the cake and frosting so it becomes a pumpkin roll, settling it easily on a plate and smirking triumphantly. "See, I told ya."

Gideon smirks. "If I remember rightly it was more like 5 hours! Sometimes they're not the fastest broomsticks in the shed, hey? It was very much worth it - it always is." He rolls his eyes a little. "Well, knowing me, I would have messed it up, and then it would be my fault. This way I was blameless." He nods, knowing the awesomeness behind his logic would keep him safe. "Looks good!"

Molly giggles. "They're really not. They're just lucky they, like, got the Prewett looks so they've got something to fall back on. Alright, alright, so you're bowing down to Kitchen Captain Mol, I get it," she greams and brushes the frosting residue off his shoulder. "All done! I'm totally full from all that frosting, but you want to take some with you for later?" she offers, sending all their dirty dishes to the sink to clean themselves with a flick of her wand.

"You know what? I actually will," Gid says, grabbing a big knife out of one of the cupboards and slicing it in half (making sure Mol has the bigger half, of course), before putting it rather indelicately into a plastic bag. Then, he places the bag on the bench, picks Molly up for a proper hug, spinning her around in a neat circle, before putting her down, giving her a quick squeeze and grabbing the bag again. "Okay, well, I should go. This has been fun, but I'll see you later, yeah?" And before waiting for an answer, he spins around and saunters out of the kitchen.

"Awesome." Molly greams as Gideon cuts himself a big chunk of the pumpkin roll, because she loves it when people appreciate her baking, it's mostly what makes it all worthwhile to her. She winces just a little when he shoves it unceremoniously into a bag instead of letting her wrap it properly for him, but before she can protest, he's picking her up in a big, spinny hug that has her letting out a little squealy laugh of delight. She hugs back as tight as she can, then watches him go with her giant gream still in place as she turns and wraps her own half up with much more care than Gideon had used on his own. Oh yeah, she thinks to herself as she tosses her hair over her shoulder and makes for the exit. This is exactly what she's needed to start feeling like herself again.
