Hermione's eyes widen a little and she looks up at Viktor hopefully. Last time... well, she'd wanted to visit Viktor in Bulgaria that summer, but Voldemort's return had complicated things somewhat. Of course, she'd still have gone had her parents not ruled an international trip alone to visit a boy out of the question. This time, though, Hermione thinks that what her parents don't know, won't hurt them. It's not that she likes the dishonesty, but sometimes it's easier. She smiles weakly. "I'd love to. If you're sure your family could put up with a tagalong at Christmas?"

[Viktor Krum - Inactive]

Viktor's face lights up at Hermione's answer, rather surprised at how easy that had been. Well, it hadn't been easy to finally ask her, but it had required no convincing on his part which really just-- The pancakes are going to burn! Viktor quickly turns to flip them all before turning back to Hermione, still greaming happily at the thought of her in Bulgaria with him. "No, they vouldn't mind at all. They're actually really excited to meet you," he admits with a shy grin, because he's told his parents all about his best friend, of course. "You really vant to come?" he asks again, still trying to wrap his head around the concept of spending an entire two weeks with Hermione in Bulgaria.

Hermione smiles earnestly, cheered up immeasurably by the way Viktor's face lights up. Then she blushes and looks down, strangely nervous at the idea of meeting Viktor's family. If her best friend's parents hate her, she'll die. "If you really want me to. I just... I don't want to go home, and I really don't want to be here this year, and it would be amazing if I got to spend my holiday with my best friend," she babbles, starting to show some actual interest in the food as Viktor flips the pancakes.

Viktor returns the smile, pleased to see Hermione looking happier than she had all in the past eight hours or so. "Vell, I'd love for you to come to Bulgaria vith me," he says quietly, looking extremely excited about spending Christmas with his best friend. He finishes up the pancakes and sets them in front of Hermione, also placing two plates on the table for both of them along with the fruit salad made up of whatever fruits are in season in the middle of winter. He joins her at the table, sliding the syrup and whatever else one could possibly eat on their pancakes over to her first like the gentleman he is. "I hope you like them. I haven't actually spent much time in the kitchens lately, so I'm not sure how they turned out."

Mya just realised she hasn't taken down the Lumione banner. Awks. Better get right on that.
"They look wonderful," Hermione assures Viktor. She's still not too sure how she's going to go with the whole 'eating' bit, so she only takes a single pancake onto her own plate, adding a tiny dash of syrup and a couple of bits of fruit salad on the side. "So what does one do for Christmas in Bulgaria," she asks, spearing a piece of watermelon on her fork and absently twirling the utensil in her fingers.

Viktor is watching Hermione. If she doesn't eat soon, he'll...Well, he won't make her eat but he'll be sad and disappointed if his best friend stops eating. He smiles at her question, glad to see that she's at least attempting to make conversation still, though he knows not to even try asking if she wants to talk about what had her so upset last night. If she wants to talk about that, then she'll do it on her own terms. "It's not much different from here, really. Most people have sort of dropped the Bulgarian traditions. It's usually just my parents and me. Huh. I guess I von't be able to make you any Bulgarian food," he tells her with a dramatic sigh. "If you're going to be eating my mother's cooking, then by the time I cook for you it's just not going to be able to compare."

Hermione forces herself to bring the piece of watermelon to her lips, into her mouth, and then she chews and swallows. "Maybe you'll cook for me before I taste your mother's cooking, then," she suggests, forcing herself to continue going through the motions by cutting a very small piece of her solitary pancake, staring blankly at it for a moment as she works up the will to eat it. "Wait - I thought your parents turned your room into an office? Will there be room for us at your parents' place, or will we stay at yours?"

[Viktor Krum - Inactive]

"Vell, I vos thinking ve could see my family for Christmas and maybe stay the night vith them Christmas eve. They have a guest bedrooms that ve'd be able to stay in," he suggested with a shrug, not wanting to set any plans in stone in case Hermione would rather do something else. She's never been to Bulgaria after all, so he wouldn't blame her if she wanted to see some of the Bulgarian landmarks and whatnot, such as [strike]the big ball of yarn. "Then ve could spend the rest of the break at my new place since you vanted to see it," he smiled, excited for Hermione to see his new apartment because even he hasn't really had a chance to spend much time in it yet.

"That sounds nice," Hermione says absently, still sort of having a staring contest with the little piece of pancake on her fork. "So... Rolf going home for Christmas?" she asks, hiding her face away so that Viktor won't see the flash of pain at the thought of anything remotely Ravenclaw or relationship oriented.

[Viktor Krum - Inactive]

Viktor frowns as Hermione continues looking away, opening his mouth to question if something is wrong as she seems to look away but deciding not to say anything again. "He's going back home to be vith his mom and his little brother," he says instead, the smile he had worn when Rolf first told him about the Scamander family being replaced by the concerned look he was giving Hermione. "Am I going to have to feed you?" he asked with a small smile, trying to lighten the mood and change the topic from whatever it was that made Hermione get all quiet and look away again.

"I didn't know he had a brother," Hermione mumbles listlessly. When Viktor asks if he's going to have to feed her, she looks up in confusion, frowning at his small smile until his meaning sinks in. "Oh." She forces the bite of pancake into her mouth. "It's very good," she says dutifully, because that's what one is meant to do - compliment the chef. It is actually very good, though.

[Viktor Krum - Inactive]

"Neither did I until yesterday..." He smiles as she takes the bite, glad that she likes his cooking though she doesn't look too interested in eating right now. "You don't need to eat, you know," he chuckled lightly, not wanting her to think he'll be insulted if she doesn't eat his cooking. "I von't really feed you if you're not hungry, but...Just make sure you do eat eventually."

Hermione shrugs and forces another mouthful in. "At the moment I feel like I'll never be hungry again. You know that feeling?" she asks, pushing a piece of melon around her plate now.

[Viktor Krum - Inactive]

"Hmm, sort of," he answers slowly, though this is 2.0 so Viktor didn't have to deal with Regulus, therefore he never went through that whole 'not eating' phase. He frowns and looks down at his own food, feeling terrible for not knowing what to say for once because he's supposed to be the friend who always says the right things when people are feeling down. But he's not just going to sit here and do nothing, so he stands up and moves his chair over next to Hermione, sitting down in it before leaning over and hugging Hermione again, just because he thinks she needs another nice, long hug.

Hermione thinks Viktor is completely and utterly perfect. She knows he's not much of a talker, but she just wants a hug, and she loves how he knows what she needs without her having to ask. Abandoning her barely-touched breakfast, she turns into him, wrapping her arms about his neck and hugging him for all she's worth. "I think I'll go and have a shower, try and relax a bit," she mumbles eventually, although she still doesn't make any move to let go of her best friend.

Viktor nods but makes no effort to pull away from the embrace either, because he wants to make sure his friend gets all the hugging she needs before the hug ends. "Okay," he replies softly, still not happy with his friend's mood because he hates seeing Hermione upset and not being able to help her as much as he wants to. "You know I'm here venever you need me, right?"

Hermione tears up again, touched by Viktor's friendship and support. "Thank you," she whispers, and kisses his cheek. Then she stands, feeling ancient, and shuffles off out the door.

Viktor sighed as he watched Hermione leave, not blaming her for not being able to eat though he did wish he could have cheered her up more than he had. He cleaned up the mess from the food, figuring that the house elves were probably busy with making breakfast for the rest of the school, and walked out of the kitchens to go and try to get some studying done.

Luna walks in here after taking a long bubble bath, and sits down at a bench to stare at the kitchen around her. She knows it's been a while since she's eaten anything and that she needs to have something soon, but even though her tummy is telling her it's dinner time, her mouth doesn't seem to be ready to eat. In fact, she feels like it'll never be ready to eat again and unless a house elf forces food down her throat, she probably won't eat anytime soon. *cue Bulgarian*

Krasimir skips walks merrily in, whistling to himself, intent on getting something yummy to snack on. He pauses when he sees a very pretty girl sitting there, looking like she's deciding whether to eat or not. Though she did kind of look like she could use something to eat, and she kind of looked unhappy...Kras did not like seeing people unhappy. "Vell, hello there. You look like you could use something to eat. Oh, I'm Krasimir Svetkova." he smiles at the pretty girl, holding his hand out to her.

Luna glances up at Kras, looking tired and sad. Sleeping on a stone bench with Dean isn't exactly the best way to get a good night's rest. "Luna Lovegood," she introduces herself, not realizing that by ignoring Kras' hand, she could very easily come off as rude which is very unlike Luna. Then again, Luna hasn't exactly been like herself for the past 24 hours or so.

Well, luckily Krasimir isn't really shaken off by people not shaking his hand. Though it is sort of rude. He isn't bothered by it though, cause Miss Luna seems quite sad and tired. She was probably too distracted by whatever was making her upset to pay attention to formalities. "Luna Lovegood? Vot a pretty name! It makes me think of the moon, reflecting over a pretty lake or something." he smiles, sitting down across from her. "So, Miss Luna, vot can I make for you? You look kind of hungry and I just so happen to be somevot okay at making things. Plus venever I see someone looking quite down I just have to do my best to cheer them up, if even a bit."

Luna looked at Kras and tilted her head to the side, wondering why he was being so nice to her. She wasn't use to people treating her so kindly. "Make?" She blinked a few times before realizing that he meant food. He wanted to cook for her. She forced a small smile at his compliment, though it looked strained and weak. "Erm. I'm not very hungry," she lied, not wanting to put Kras out by having him cook when she wasn't even sure if she wanted to eat. "Thank you though."

"Look, ve just met and all, so I don't vant to intrude and ask you vot's got you all upset. It vouldn't be my place - though if it's because some guy did something to upset you, you should let me know who it vos so I can set them straight. And," he smiled softly at her, placing a finger under her chin to tilt her head up, "I can tell you're lying. Let me make something light for you at least. Even if it's just something to drink. Sorry, but I'm sort of a total Papa Bear sometimes, so I've been told. So you'll just have to deal vith me vorrying over you, cause that's vot I do ven I see people upset, especially pretty girls like yourself." He hops up off his chair and heads over to the cupboards. "So, vot'll it be?"

Luna doesn't say anything about a guy upsetting her, because it certainly wasn't a guy which she doesn't feel like explaining to Kras. It'll only bring up memories she's currently trying to suppress. That, and the fact that she really doesn't want Kras going after Hermione. As he lifted her chin up, she looked up at him with her big, sad eyes, feeling bad that she wasn't being her usual self around him because he really did seem like a nice guy. She sighed as he walked away, realizing that it would be easiest to just list off something to eat or drink, and she was sort of in the mood for something after all. "Erm- Hot chocolate?" she suggested questioningly, looking up at Kras over on the other side of the kitchen.
