"Yes, Molly!" Arthur said, standing up straight and saluting Molly. "Just give me your orders, and I'll do whatever you say." Arthur did not mind taking orders from Molly, for Molly easily had more experience in the kitchen than he did.

Molly giggles and tosses her hair behind her shoulder. "You have, like, no idea how dangerous it is for you to say that, do you?" she asks. She double checks all her ingredients are present and correct and in order, and nods at the kitchen sink. "Wash your hands first, and then you're allowed to touch stuff."

[Arthur Weasley]

"Of course! I don't want to get anything dirty" Arthur replies, walking over to the sink to wash his hands. He puts several dollops of soap in his hands before scrubbing them furiously and enthusiastically. "So, who taught you how to cook?"

[Molly Prewett]

"My grandmother," Molly says, her usual gream slipping into a nostalgic smile. "Like, nobody in my family can cook at all, but I love it and once my grandmother realised that there was, in fact, a Prewett who could walk into a kitchen and not leave a trail of destruction behind her, she sorta took me under her wing, you know? She taught me, like, all the basics of baking and cooking -knitting too you know, I am, like, awesome at knitting- and it was awesome. But she died something like ten years ago now, so I've sorta just built on everything she taught me for myself, you know? Here, put the sugar in - three cups," she says, handing Arthur a measuring cup and nudging the bowl towards him.

"Wow, your grandmother sounds brilliant," Arthur replies. He picks up the cup, looking at it curiously. "So three of these?" Arthur asks, as he begins to take a huge scoop of the sugar, spilling a little on his feet. He blushes brightly; he really needed to stop making a fool of himself. "Sorry about that; probably shouldn't try to scoop that much up at once."

"She was," Molly says fiercely. "She was, like, the bestest grandma ever." She stops and giggles as Arthur gets sugar everywhere. "Yeah you're, like, going a bit overboard there. See, what you have to do is make it, like, a level cup. You don't want to have it all heaped up like that because even when you don't spill it everywhere, it means you always get, like, different amounts because the moundy bit at the top will be different sizes. Here," she says, and puts her hand over his to guide him through the process of scooping up the sugar, and getting the excess off the top without spilling any outside the sugar packet. "Like that!"

"Ok," Arthur says as Molly guides him through the motions, noticing how soft her hands were. "I think I can do this now." Arthur gently scoops another cup, carefully smoothing the top. He smiles as he pours his perfectly measured cup into the bowl. "Two down, one to go," Arthur mutters to himself, smiling confidently as he prepares his third and final cup. After dumping it into the bowl, he turns to Molly abd excitedly asks, "What you want me to do next?"

Molly tries not to giggle at how proud of himself Arthur seems; it's only dumping sugar into a bowl after all, but then, she does seem to put a lot of pressure on people who want to step into 'her' kitchen. "Awesome," she chirps in approval, while Mya tries to remember what else goes in cookies because it's been way too long since she made them. "Now do, like, exactly the same thing with the flour," she says, and moves to put the sugar away, replacing it with the flour. "So, um, what else is new?" she asks, figuring a little conversation never goes astray. "Your brother figure out he's gay, yet?" Well, she never said it would be a tactful conversation... >.>

Arthur nods as Molly hands him the flour. "How many cups of the flour do you want?" Arthur asks, ready to get started with it. He stops suddenly at the mention of his brother, drops the cup into the bag of flour, and causes a cloud of powder to form around him. Arthur laughes, both at his insanity and Molly's question. "Billy? He knows he's gay, considering I saw with him some bloke in a broom closet a couple weeks ago. He doesn't know we know though; Ron had the misfortune of walking in on him during a detention. Billy didn't notice thought; he was a little preoccupied at the time." Arthur feels flattered that Molly had remembered some of their previous conversation. "How are your brothers and sister?"

"Four cups of flour will do it." Molly wrinkles her nose delicately. "Oh, ew! Gross gross gross! If I ever caught one of my siblings with someone, I think I would have to, like, scratch my eyes out in protest or something," she announces. She glances at Arthur and giggles slightly. "You have flour on your forehead. Um, they're alright. I haven't seen Fabian in, like, forever so maybe he and his boyfriend ran of to live in Milan or something. But Alice is... still Alice. She's kinda hard to describe but whatever, and I last time I was hanging out with Gideon he was, like, all good," she says, greaming, because if there's one way into Molly Prewett's heart, it's through consideration of her siblings.

"I know poor Ron was almost scarred was for life. If it were me, I probably would have asked him about it later, but then Ron and Billy aren't always the closest." Arthur carefully measures out the cups of flour; however, the flour was lighter and fluffier. Therefore, each time he went to scoop the flour, a little more of it ended up on his clothing. "Fabian really ran off to Milan, though? I hope he's happy there."

Molly tilts her head to the side, considering. "I dunno - Gid and I have always been, like, super close, but I don't know if I could ever ask him about that... maybe it's because I'm his sister instead of his brother or something. Whatever. I'm sure I could ask him if it were, like, super important, I just don't think I'd ever want to, you know?" she rambles. She smiles slightly as Arthur systematically covers himself in flour as he scoops the four cups out, but a little sadness settles in her eyes. "Maybe. I have, like, no clue what Fay's up to. I'm sure he's alright, he always is, it's just super weird for us not to all be together a whole bunch, you know?"

Arthur nods in understanding. "I completely understand what you mean, and I'm sure Fabian hasn't forgotten about you - he's probably just busy. It's weird for me and Ron, with Billy keeping secrets from us; we always used to tell each other everything, and now he can't Ronnie and something as important as this. It's like he doesn't trust us anymore, but he should. We're his best friends and all we want is for him to be happy." Arthur finishes measuring out the final cup of flour, not before spilling a little bit more all over his face. He quickly dumps the flour into the bowl before turning away from the cooking and sneezing.

"Exactly," Molly says fervently. "Like, whatever friends I make and stuff, no matter who I spend bunches of time with, my siblings are the ones I can totally always talk to about anything and trust them and all that. It's, like, the way it should be!" She giggles, tosses her hair again, and conjures a wet washcloth. "Here, you're, like, covered in so much flower it looks like stage makeup," she tells Arthur and reaches up to start gently wiping his face clean for him.

Arthur blushes as Molly begins to cleann off his face; the washcloth is surprising warm, or is it just Arthur? "Thanks," Arthur replies shyly to Molly. "Do you have another task for me? Preferably something a little messy, though I'll do whatever."

Molly smiles kindly as Arthur blushes and turns a little shy on her again; she figures he just doesn't have a lot of contact with girls. It's not like it means anything anyway, she's with Kingsley, she's just helping Arthur out. That's all. Just being friendly. "Oh! Um... I'll melt the butter, and then you can add that, alright? After that is when we get to all the stuff that's, like, super fun," she promises, because once things are doughy, that's when they get to stick their hands in the bowl which is Mya's favourite part of cooking. Molly drops the washcloth, stepping away from Arthur because she's only just realised she's been standing right up close to him this whole time, and measures out the butter into a saucepan, heating it slowly.

"That's fine," Arthur says, watching as Molly moves away to melt the butter. He picks up the washcloth and begins to absentmindedly rub his face. "How is your knitting going? Make anything really cool?" Arthur asks because he remembers that Molly liked to knit.

Molly's fingers twitch, and if she wasn't already occupied with making sure the butter melts at the perfect temperature she would probably be walking back over to pluck the washcloth out of Arthur's hands and finish the job herself because that's what Mama Bear likes to do. She swirls the butter around a little and greams. "The knitting is going great! I don't get, like, nearly enough time for it these days. Maybe I'll make my sister another dragon pillow when I get time or something. How about you? Have you done anything with the needles I gave you or is it all, like, a giant knot now?" she giggles, taking the butter off the heat and pouring it into the bowl with the sugar and flour.

"It's not a giant knot," Arthur says. "More like a giant line of stitches since I can't remember how to start a new line. I wish I had your knitting skills, Molly - you're amazing. And a dragon pillow sounds awesome - how did you figure out howto make one?" Arthur can't believe how amazing Molly is - knitting and cooking seem so confusing to Arthur's male brain.

Molly bursts into giggles, imagining one giant row of stitches crammed on the poor overloaded knitting needle. "It just takes practice," she says, greaming in pleasure at his compliment. Then she shrugs, pouring the m&ms into the bowl with the rest of the ingredients to be combined. "I don't remember. I think I saw a picture of a dragon pillow somewhere, and I showed to Ali and she, like, really wanted one. So I just sort of figured it out, you know? Wasn't that hard. Like I said - practice, you know. You can totally do anything if you stick at it long enough. Oh, mind you combine all that stuff carefully - it's not as much fun if you crush all the m&ms before you even bake it!" she chirps.

"Wow. The pillow stills sounds amazing," Arthur says. "What other cool things have you knitted?" He nods as Molly tells him to combine the ingredients carefully. He gingerly picks up the spoon and carefully begin to stir the ingredients; he barely skims the surface and move his hand more slowly than the average flobberworm crawls. He takes Molly directions very seriously and a bit too literally, though he probably would have gone crazy with his stirring without Molly's warning - his excitement and pent-up energy would have taken over.

"Um, I don't know. Like, heaps of stuff," Molly says, pulling a little face as she tries to think back. "A whole bunch of sweaters of course, and some dresses too actually. Um, bags, hats, socks, tea cozies, you name it," she lists. Her lips twitch in amusement, watching Arthur stir the ingredients at a handicapped snail's pace, and she reaches over to put her hand around his and speed up his movements just a tad. She moves his hand and the spoon along with it, folding the ingredients in on each other until they start to hang together and make proper cookie dough. "Here, like this."

"What exactly is a tea cozy?" Arthur asks curiously. "And I can imagine how useful one of your sweaters would be, especially during the winter. It can get really cold here during the winter." Arthur is about to continue his description of the merits of Molly's knitting when Molly grabs his hand to help him to actually mix the batter. He blushes vividly in response, smiling awkwardly as Molly helps him.

"A tea cozy?" Molly blinks. "Oh, it's kinda what it sounds like - it keeps tea cozy!" she giggles. "You, like, slip it over the top of a teapot and it keeps the tea warmer for longer. It's kinda a muggle thing - wizards can just use magic but whatever." She falls silent, spending a few long moments just guiding Arthur's hands before she realises she does not need to anymore. She lets go, tosses her hair over her shoulder, and busies herself laying out baking trays. "Let me know when it's all mixed up."

Arthur watches as Molly releases his hand. He continues stirring, taking a few moments to regain his sense. "Tea cozies sound amazing - I wish I had one, I know my mum would love it," Arthur says excitedly. He glances down at the batter, which seems pretty well mixed. "I think the batter is ready, but you can check it if you want."
