Hermione thinks Kiora is just the most beautiful thing ever, and it breaks her heart a little bit to see her cling to them both like that. So, she decides, it's time to make a game of things. "Time to play a game, baby girl," she says brightly. "It's a race - you and Daddy have to see if you can get a picnic all set up on the floor before Mummy comes back from the front door with dinner," she announces, kissing Kiora's forehead to distract her while she gently disentangles her little fingers from Hermione's sleeve. "Ready, set, GO!" she calls, jumping up and moving swiftly for the door because oops, the poor delivery guy is ringing the bell again.

[Kiora Lupin]

"GAME?" Kiora squeals happily and waits for daddy to pick her up so they can win the game. She waves farewell to mummy then tugs on daddy's shirt. "PICNIC, DADDY! QUACK QUACK QUACK!" Duckies were not mentioned, but somehow she felt that a quack or two had to be involved - it just had to. How could it not be? Besides, mummy and daddy should know that she'd just said that she and daddy were going to win. Yep yep.

[Remus Lupin]

Well. Then. A game huh? Remus liked this idea - especially since it would be more fun for Kiora then. "Alright, baby girl! Let's go!" he scooped her up, giving her a nice, big kiss on the cheek, then headed for the kitchen to grab some plates, napkins, cups, and silverware. Of course, since he's holding Kiora, he just has everything float in front of them as they head back into the family room. He sets Kiora on the floor and then lets all the other stuff sit down. "Okay, let's make everything look really pretty for mummy, alright?"

[Kiora Lupin]

"KAY!" Kiora flails her tiny hands, smiling happily, and decides that she's going to fold the napkins to make them look pretty. Folding them in half...sort of, was good, right? Yeah. "MUMMY!!! QUUUUUUACK!" She wanted mummy to return - she didn't like it when her parents weren't both in the room with her at the same time.

Hermione is usually such a polite and friendly person, but the poor delivery guy is just completely getting abused today because after making him wait while she drags herself away from her family, Hermione just shoves some money at him, snatches the food and closes the door in his face with only a short "hithanksbye!" She goes tearing back into the living room to see Kiora "folding" napkins while Remus sets everything out, and plops down next to Kiora. "Very pretty, baby girl," she grins, putting the food in the middle and picking Kiora up for a hug because she missed her for those 30 seconds, you know. "So who wins, baby? I think Mummy wins!" she grins, waiting for the loud squeal of protest that is sure to follow that statement.

SOMEWHERE HERE, THERE IS A BIG BLACK SHAGGY DOG RUNNING AROUND THE BACKYARD CHASING SQUIRRELS... IN CAPS LOCK. YUP. DON'T KNOW HOW, BUT HE IS.

IF HE DIDN'T SPEND HIS TIME CHASING SQUIRRELS, THAT DOG WOULD PROBABLY ACTUALLY GET FED ONCE IN A WHILE. XD

THE DOG DOES NOT EAT THE SQUIRRELS, HE MERELY TERRORIZES THEM.

I KNOW. BUT I STAND BY MY STATEMENT. IF HE LEFT THE SQUIRRELS ALONE, HERMIONE WOULD FEED HIM.

Padfoot stops chasing the squirrels, cleans his paws off with his tongue, and walks to the front door, pawing at it with big, sad, puppy eyes and looking horribly underfed.

[Kiora Lupin]

Kiora does indeed squeal loudly in protest, waving one of her lovely 'folded' napkins in her mummy's face. "No! Look! Yora and daddy wins!" She waves the napkin around again, giggling.

[Mya Lupin]

"Very pretty, baby," Hermione smiles, and waves her wand at the door to let the puppy with the clean paws in. Wow, good thing she ordered extra...

[Remus Lupin]

"You're just so talented, baby girl." Remus remarked, smiling as Kiora continued to happily wave her semi-folded napkins around. Of course they kind of would need those at some point...but for now he'd let her have her fun.

[Guest]

The puppy bounds in and promptly runs up to Hermione, nuzzling her legs for being nice and letting him in, aw. "Arf arf arf!"

[Kiora Lupin]

Kiora squeals and drops her napkins, waving her hands at the puppy. "PUPPY!! RUFF, RUFF! QUACK!"

[Mya Lupin]

Hermione laughs because according to Kiora, puppies quack as well. She scratches Padfoot behind the ears, shifting Kiora closer so she can pat him as well. "You hungry too, Padfoot? Good thing I ordered extra, hmm?"

[Guest]

Padfoot nods at Hermione, then scampers over to Kiora, barking happily and wagging his tail, pawing at her front lightly, not enough to knock her over, of course. "ARRRRRRRRF! Arf arf arf!" The puppy runs around chasing its tail in happiness for a moment, then fetches a ball, dropping it slobbering at Kiora's feet. "Arf?"

Well while Amethyst eats dinner and hopefully returns to us, Kiora can throw the ball for Padfoot and Hermione will get Padfoot's plate. Because he has to have his own dog slobbery plate unless he wants to eat like people. Then he can have a people plate. Uh huh. Mya needs more coffee...

Padfoot runs around, chasing Kiora and licking her tummy playfully, and generally being an adorable doggie, yup. Padfoot does, however, scowl at the doggy plate, giving Hermione and indignant look, and gesturing to the dining room table with his paw. "Woof."

[Kiora Lupin]

Kiora is smart enough to figure that doggy does not like having it's hair pulled so she doesn't do that...but she occasionally will tug on his ears for fun.

And the doggie growls when she does it, every single time.

[Remus Lupin]

And Remus gives doggy warning looks every time it growls.

[Mya Lupin]

Hermione sighs and summons a people plate for Padfoot, setting it on the floor and patting the carpet amongst them, because Mya loves having floor picnics with takeout. "You're washing the dishes," she informs him, grinning because she loves watching Padfoot and Kiora play together. Especially when Kiora makes the cutest little squealing sounds as she laughs. Oh, and now the doggie is growling. Hermione reaches over and pulls Kiora's hand off his ear because if he growls like that he has to go outside, and then he'd be hungry and that would be sad.

Kiora looks sadly at doggie's ears then wonders if the tail would be any better.
