Re: Parkinson Home
Draco blinked when she flopped down and poked her nose back. "Hi, how's your Dad?" Because Leo was an actual Dad... not like Lucius who is not a Dad... he's a sperm donor. His hand fell to the side and his fingers brushed through her hair which was all over his stomach and chest.
Re: Parkinson Home
"He's good. Plotting the demise of my mother's newest cat. She bought herself some Persian cat for Christmas. Dad really hates Persians. Then again, he really hates all cats. He asked about Max, but I told him he couldn't keep him." Pansy laughed, rolling onto her side to curl up slightly, still looking up at Draco from where she was laying. "Seemed glad to have us here for the weekend."
Re: Parkinson Home
Draco made a face, "Eww not another persian. The yowling siamese were bad enough but now the damn thing is going to be shedding all over." He smiled as she rolled over, "Yeah Max has to stay with us." He paused for a second before asking, "Do you know why he invited us?"
Re: Parkinson Home
"Yeah, he said something about drawing the Persian to the hot gates, but I'm not really sure what he meant. I think mostly he just wants to chuck the thing into his fireplace." Pansy smiled as he said Max had to stay with them, which was definitely true. He was the most perfect present there was, and Pansy really truly adored that dog. She thought for a little while about Draco's question. "I don't know. He didn't really say. I'm a bit suspicious, naturally, but I don't even know where to start with ideas about it. Maybe mum will let something slip during dinner."
Re: Parkinson Home
Draco nodded, "I can't deny that I'm really curious. I'm sure something will slip, your mother is possibly the must unsubtle person on the planet." Max was possibly Draco's best move ever. Ever ever ever. "Do you know what time dinner is? Do we have to get dressed soon?"
Re: Parkinson Home
"She honestly is. It's a wonder daddy ever tells her anything at all." Pansy sat up a bit to look at the clock sitting on the bedside table, but as soon as she saw the time, she jumped up off the bed. "Oh, soon. Mum should be back in about ten minutes and we'll have to be down there in fifteen. Have you got something to wear? You left that black shirt and tie here, didn't you?" Pansy had wandered over to his wardrobe and tugged the door open, glancing inside to look for his clothes, not even worrying about the fact that she had no idea what to wear herself.
Re: Parkinson Home
Draco chuckled and got up, walking up behind her and wrapping one arm around her waist, pressing a kiss to the side of her neck, "Yeah I did. So what are you going to wear?" He reached in and pulled out the shirt, hanging it over the door and reaching in for the tie. He held up two of them, one silver and black and the other dark purple, "Which one?"
Re: Parkinson Home
Pansy grinned as he came up behind her, shrugging because she had no idea what to wear. She considered the two ties carefully, trying to decide which she liked better, which was hard because they were both nice. "If you wear the purple, I have a dress that color, but the black and silver looks really nice too." She left it up to him, kissing him quickly on the cheek before leaving his room to head back to her closet and attempt to find that purple dress.
Re: Parkinson Home
Draco smiled and put the purple tie out to one side. He opened his drawer and pulled out a nice pair of pants and some clean boxers before stripping off. He put the bottoms on and walked into the bathroom for quick wash before slipping the shirt on and hanging the tie around his neck. Standing in front of the mirror he grabbed his comb and ran it through his hair, realizing that as much as he loved it long it was much harder to decide how to make it dinner presentable. Knocking on her door he leaned against the wall next to it to wait for her to answer.
Re: Parkinson Home
Pansy tugged her door open, still in her school shirt and skirt as she had apparently had no luck in locating the dress yet. "Hi there." She grinned at him and pushed the door shut behind him before disappearing back into her closet again, digging through things and searching in all the little corners and such.
Re: Parkinson Home
Draco walked in, "Hi? I wanted to ask you about hair." He noticed her dive into the closet, "Not found it yet?" He walked over to her closet and peered inside. "Hey Pans, is this it?" He reached behind a bunch of froofy dresses and pulled out a dark purple one, holding it up for her.
Re: Parkinson Home
Pansy turned as he walked in, but got back to searching. "Yeah, I've no idea where it is. What about your ha- yes!" She grabbed the dress from him and carried it out to the bathroom, shutting the door to change. "I'll fix your hair in a minute, promise." She laughed, quickly changing out of her clothes and into the dress.
Re: Parkinson Home
Draco leaned against the wall while she changed, "Great." When she finished and opened the door he stepped into the bathroom and leaned against the counter, "Wow, I don't think I've seen that dress before. You look gorgeous." He leaned in and gave her a kiss before pulling back and running his fingers through his hair, "So what do you think? I don't want to look scruffy in front of your parents."
Re: Parkinson Home
Pansy finished putting the dress on, zipping up the back of it and tugging it all into place so it laid right. She opened the door and let him in, looking into the mirror at her own hair as he came in and leaned against the counter. She smiled shyly at him when he complimented her, turning to him as he messed with his hair. "Well you know I like it like it is now, but as for mum and daddy," she reached up and started running her fingers through it, arranging it in a subtle curve across his forehead, not so much parted like he used to keep it, perfect and combed and parted and exact, but a more casual sweep to the side, like this, which I will link because I can and because it makes me happy. Smiling up at him once she was done, she turned his shoulders so he would face the mirror again and see it for himself, and she returned her attentions to her own hair. Reaching down to her pile of clothes on the floor, she pulled her wand out of the mess of fabric and started casting loose curling charms over pieces of her hair. His tie was still undone, but unless he did it up himself soon, she'd take care of that in a bit as well. He typically did manage to get it crooked anyway.
Re: Parkinson Home
Draco turned to look in the mirror and grinned at her, "Nice, you always do get it right." He leant against the counter and watched as she did her hair. As much time as he had always spent on his own he still loved watching girls do their hair. How they just got it into perfect curls every time was beyond him. Reaching out he touched one of the curls, watching as it bounced back into place. He had completely forgotten about fixing his tie or cuffs. Whoops.
Re: Parkinson Home
"Of course I do." She laughed, concentrating on finishing her hair. Reaching around to pull the back to the front and curl it as well, she glanced at Draco out of the corner of her eye as he reached out for one of her curls. Finishing up, she shook her hair out and let the curls fall more naturally before turning to Draco and grabbing the two ends of his tie which were still hanging lazily around his neck. She quickly knotted it and smoothed it into place, walking out of the bathroom and back into the closet to search for a pair of shoes.
Re: Parkinson Home
Draco looked down when she tied his tie and smirked, "Oh, thanks." He turned around and walked back into his room and grabbed some cufflinks and his shoes before going back into her room and sitting on her bed, sliding the links in and slipping on his shoes. "You ready yet?"
Re: Parkinson Home
"Almost." Pansy walked out of her closet, holding a pair of silver ballet flats and a pair of black heels. She glanced between the two of them, unable to decide. "Black or silver?" It didn't really matter, it was just dinner with her parents, but when he was there it became a more formal event, and attire was expected to be appropriate as such.
Re: Parkinson Home
Draco looked at the two pairs, "Heels." As she slipped them on he stood up and walked over to her. When she stood up he leaned in and gave her a kiss before offering her his arm, even if it was only until the dining room, after all they weren't officially dating. He couldn't even imagine what Leo would say if he found out.
Re: Parkinson Home
Pansy tossed the silver ones back into her closet, not really caring where they landed at the moment. She leaned over to slip on the heels, straightening back up to find that Draco was standing right there. She kissed him back and took his arm, heading out of her room and down the hall, down the stairs, and back through the hallways into the dining room. Leo and Muffy were already sitting there in their usual spots, and Pansy let go of Draco's arm to go sit at her father's left. For now at least, the seat was still hers. When her father chose a suitor however, she would move down one, and he would occupy that first left hand seat.
Re: Parkinson Home
Draco greeted Muffy with a kiss to the back of her hand, which smelt like her overpowering flowery perfume, and walked around the table to sit next to Pansy, his hand brushing her elbow as he sat down. He picked up his napkin and put it neatly on his lap, waiting for everyone else.
Re: Parkinson Home
Muffy gave Pansy a disapproving look when she didn't greet her but put on her fake smile as Draco kissed the back of her hand. There was something about that boy she didn't like at all. As he sat down she turned on her daughter, "Pansy, why have you not been replying to my letters?"

Re: Parkinson Home
Pansy smiled at her father as she took a seat, essentially ignoring her mother. After that one big fight they'd had last fall, things had changed and Pansy talked to her mother as little as she could manage. It only ever led to fighting, which only ever led to her father getting frustrated and angry, which only ever led to her mother getting frustrated and angry, which only ever led to her being punished for it. She busied herself unfolding the napkin and placing it on her lap until her mother spoke to her, and she carefully raised her gaze to look at her, trying to think of some response other than 'because they're annoying and I honestly don't care about anything they say'. Something told her that would earn her a slap from across the dinner table.
Re: Parkinson Home
Leo had been listening to Muffy prattle on until Pansy and Draco showed up, glad of the distraction to get his wife to stop blabbering in his ear about things he really didn't care to hear about. He smiled back at Pansy, nodded again to Draco, dropping his own napkin into his lap as the two kids sat down. Once his wife turned on his little flower though, he stepped in. "Muffy, cupcake, I am sure that Pansy has been quite busy with school. It is her seventh year after all, you remember." Leo liked using stupid nicknames for her. It was much more fun to call her honeybun or sugardrop, since they meant 'idiot' or 'dolt' in his head, but seemed nice to her shallow ears.

Re: Parkinson Home
Muffy turned a brilliant smile to her husband, "Oh of course." She giggled and put her hand on his, "Silly me. Well then Pansy, my little princess, we'll just have to have a nice chat after dinner. I have some things to talk to you about."
