Re: Parkinson Home
Draco smiled and kissed her back, following her slightly as she kissed him. He moved over her as she played with his hair and smiled, brushing her hair away from her face before leaning down and giving her soft kisses. He would have liked it if she said it back to him but even though she hadn't he was still happy. She wasn't rejecting it this time either, instead his love was making her happy.
Re: Parkinson Home
Pansy smiled as she kissed him, wrapping her arms around his neck when he moved to loom over her a little. She was happy to be curled up under the blanket with him in their little tower. She kissed him back enthusiastically, tugging him closer to her before she stopped to take a breath. "We should probably sneak back inside. Then again, we could probably stay out here too. Just tell dad we woke up early and wanted to go for a walk." She shrugged a little, smiling up at him. She didn't see any reason that them 'going for a morning walk in the garden' would upset Leo.
Re: Parkinson Home
Draco grinned at her when she pulled away, "I like the idea of staying out here a little longer. He wouldn't come looking for us out here anyway because it might rouse suspicions so we would get warning from Dilly." He leaned down on his elbows and kissed her again, thinking that this was a great way to spend their morning, after all fresh air is good for them.
Re: Parkinson Home
"Very true." She smiled and looked at his lips, waiting for him to kiss her again. "It's been too long since we hung out in the gardens. Especially the tower though, I think it's been years. I don't know what was the last time we snuck out here, actually. Do you remember?"
Re: Parkinson Home
"Here? We made it down here for about five minutes in the autumn before your mother found us covered in mud and dragged you off. Remember?" He leaned down and gave her another kiss, deciding that the could talk later after Leo came to find them but when he was around they certainly couldn't do this.
Re: Parkinson Home
"Oh," she managed, before he kissed her again. In a brief break in the kisses, she continued her thought. "Well that doesn't really count." But soon his lips were on hers again and talking wasn't possible any longer. She tightened her fingers in his hair and kissed him back, pulling him closer so that he was lying over her, the blanket draped over his back and covering them all snuggly warm.
Re: Parkinson Home
Draco shifted so he could lay his body more comfortably over her and not crush her. His own fingers slipped under her head and into her hair, pulling her into the kiss, and he deepened the kiss, his tongue snaking out the slip into her mouth, very glad they had decided to take this weekend away.
Re: Parkinson Home
Pansy grinned yet again when his hands moved behind her head, his fingers grasping her hair. She opened her mouth a little as she felt his tongue pressing against her lips, slipping her own tongue past his. Tracing her fingers over the back of his neck, just below his hairline in that one little spot that always tickled him a bit, she couldn't have even described how happy she was, especially in comparison to how she had been last night. To go from falling apart to making out in a mossy tower, well, no one ever said that her life or their relationship was normal or predictable.
Re: Parkinson Home
Draco was so glad they had moved past the slump of last night, not remotely surprised by the vast ups and downs they were going through. That was how they had always been and most likely how they always would be. He smiled into the kiss, enjoying the chance to relax and share lazy kisses in the garden like this. It wasn't something they would normally get a chance to do, and it was nice to bring some of their new relationship to this childhood refuge.
Re: Parkinson Home
It was strange to think they hadn't made out until yesterday, but here they were lying in the tower, doing just that as if nothing had changed and it was as normal as could be. It was nice though, a relaxed sort of time, nothing too dominating or passionate or tender or anything. The only perfect word for describing it was lazy. Though they held onto each other and roamed their fingers over each others skin or hair sometimes, it was as if they were simply too lazy to move much other than their mouths. Pansy leaned back, taking a breath and smiling up at him, her dark eyes staring adoringly into his silver ones.
Re: Parkinson Home
Draco pulled back a little as she did, smiling down at her. There was no rush to anything between them, even though they were short on time, everything flowed naturally. The sun was slowly moving over the tower and he sat up a little more, moving the blanket off now they were in the sun so it didn't get oppressively hot. Moving back down he kissed her again, his fingers running back through her hair and over her shoulders again.
Re: Parkinson Home
Pansy shivered slightly as Draco tugged the blanket off, but soon his body lowered over her again and he kissed her until she was warm once again. The morning passed slowly but soon the sun was shining down into their little tower. She sat up and glanced around, figuring they ought to head back inside now. They made it down to the study apparently on a moment after her father, and told him they had gone for a morning walk. Luckily on the way back they had helped each other pull the moss out of their hair and off their clothes. They had a nice little chat with her father, who reminded them they ought to head back to school sometime today, but could wait until after dinner if they preferred to eat here. Dilly brought down lunch and they all ate together, and then Leo left them, promising to return again for dessert if they chose to stay for dinner.
Re: Parkinson Home
Draco relaxed back as Leo walked out, turning to face Pansy as he finished up his pumpkin juice. "So do you want to stay or head back? It's really all up to you." He liked being at her house but so far Leo hadn't brought up the Death Eaters around Pansy and staying even longer felt a little like asking for trouble. It was going to come up at some point but hopefully that would be by owl, not in person.
Re: Parkinson Home
Pansy shrugged a little, but it was obvious she'd made a decision. "I'd rather head back. I miss Max." She got up and headed back through to her makeshift bedroom, packing her things away into the bag she'd brought them in. She carried it back into the main room and then headed back to Draco's room, running in and leaping onto his bed, letting herself fall and wrap her arms around his pillow, burying her face into it happily.
Re: Parkinson Home
Draco nodded and got up when she did, wandering past her room into his to pack his bag up before heading into the bathroom to find his other things. Walking out he laughed at the sight of her flat out on his bed cuddling his pillow. "So are we leaving or are you going to spend the rest of the day with my pillow?" He put his toiletries in his bag and picked it up, walking to the main room to drop it off and waiting to see if she would follow.
Re: Parkinson Home
"As tempting as it is, we ought to go." Pansy laughed, her voice all muffled from her face being in his pillow. She got up and followed him out to the main room, grabbing her own bag once she got there. "Ready, then?" She held her hand out to him, so that they could apparate back to Hogsmeade together.
Re: Parkinson Home
Draco nodded and took her hand, apparating them to outside the Hogwarts gates. Still holding hands they walked back up to the castle and in, down to slytherin. After putting his things on his bed he wandered back into her room, "So what do you want to do for dinner?" He sat down on her bed where Pansy can now post.
Re: Parkinson Home
Draco let Pansy go when they landed, making sure to keep hold of her hand though so she couldn't easily get away, not without risking splinching him. He pulled on her hand, tugging her towards the house. "Pansy, you can't avoid them forever and this time I'm under orders to bring you home, your father isn't just asking nicely anymore." She hadn't wanted to face her parents after what happened with her running away to London and he couldn't blame her, he wouldn't have wanted to either but it had been a couple of weeks now and Leo was getting testy about it. He also hadn't mentioned it to Pansy yet but his parents were coming over for tea the next day as well. No need to give her even more reasons to run away as fast as she could.
Re: Parkinson Home
She was fighting against him as they landed on the solid ground, struggling from his arms as soon as he let go of her. Pansy's eyes were begging him, and her pout was clearly displeased with the situation. "Draco, you don't get it, they'll be furious even though I came back as soon as it was all explained, my father will be angry about me running away and my mother will be fuming that I could have ruined my chances at the match they worked to arrange. The whole thing that made running away work was that I would never see them again after I left, at least not for several years after they'd cooled down about it!" She had been making the same arguments for the past few hours, days, as long as Draco had been telling her that she needed to go home and see her parents. She groaned as he pulled on her hand, and followed him reluctantly to the door. Inside, she stood there in the foyer, her chin tucked down and her eyes staring at the floor, pouting angrily like a child told to come inside before she was finished playing with her friends. Her hand still in Draco's, she stood in grumpy silence as he shouted to announce their arrival, cringing as she heard her mother's footsteps, the distinct clicking of too-high heels, on the hall floor upstairs.
Re: Parkinson Home
Draco ignored her complaints and pulled her into the house, shouting to see who was around. Muffy was the first to come great them, embracing Draco and Pansy in turn but squeezing Pansy a little too tightly to let her know that they had things to talk about. Wrapping her arm around Draco's and her other hand gripping Pansy's elbow she lead them into the solarium and sat them down on the love seat together. Draco's arm moved around Pansy's shoulders, mostly as a loving embrace but also partially so he could grab her if she got up and tried to run. Muffy made small talk with them, not discussing their engagement until Leo arrived.
Re: Parkinson Home
Pansy's lungs half collapsed as her mother crushed her, surprisingly strong. She followed to the glass walled room, one of her mother's favorites, taking a seat by Draco. The true reason for his arm around her did not go missed, but she didn't mind it. He felt closer, which was nice with her mother picking at her and dissecting everything she did all the while holding what seemed to be excited small talk. However among the 'how are your studies' and 'how are your parents' and 'have you been eating well' conversation, she managed to fit in several jibes at Pansy, reminding her to cross her legs at the ankle not the knee, and to sit up straighter, and to stop glaring or it would put lines on her forehead, and to behave like a proper woman or else no one would have her. She cut her mother off there, insisting that Draco had seen her covered in dirt and hurt in the hospital wing and in nearly noth-, every situation otherwise, it didn't matter if she didn't sit like a rich snooty daughter right now or not. That earned a death stare from her mother, but luckily her father had chosen that moment to show up. Leo leaned over, kissing Pansy on the head, shaking Draco's hand firmly and clapping him on the shoulder, and then taking a seat next to his wife. "Good to see someone managed to talk some sense into my daughter. Thank you, Draco."
Re: Parkinson Home
Draco should have expected it when Pansy cut off Muffy and started snapping back but he still had to stiffle a grin at their not quite so loving mother/daughter relationship. He smiled at Leo and nodded as the older man sat down, "Well I think it helped that I had all the facts straight." He ran his hand over Pansy's shoulder and reached between them to slip his fingers into hers, making sure her mother could see the lights flashing off the diamonds and emeralds in her ring.
Re: Parkinson Home
Pansy sighed, and kept her eyes from her mother, looking instead between her father, Draco, and the window to the outside world, which was where she longed desperately to be instead. As Draco's hand ran over her shoulder, she leaned into him slightly, a corner of her mouth curling up in a tiny smile. Glancing down when he took her hand, she didn't miss the way he angled it, so the sun caught the stones and would surely capture her mother's attention and admiration. Before her mother could start gushing about it, however, Pansy spoke up, to her father. "Sorry I ran away, Daddy. It was complicated and I was hard headed, and I should have asked questions before I simply left." He smiled warmly and shook his head. "You're back now, and no harm was done. It is forgotten." Somehow, Pansy didn't think her mother shared the sentiment.
Re: Parkinson Home
Draco gave Leo a grateful look before turning his attention to Muffy. Muffy herself was watching this and she had noticed not only the impressive ring on her daughter's finger but also how comfortable they looked, sitting with his arm around her and their fingers interlaced. She couldn't deny that her first priority in finding Pansy a husband was wealth and status but she had hoped that their choice would also be good for her on a personal level. She hadn't ever really been happy in her marriage with Leo, never to the point where she wanted to end it and she couldn't say that he was anything near abusive but their relationship even after all these years was still incredibly formal and neither of them really knew the other. Looking over at her husband she could see that he was pleased with the match they had made and really was just going to move past what had happened. Though she didn't know if it would be that easy for her to forgive and forget she would try, attempting to focus on the positives that Draco was still here and the Malfoys hadn't cancelled the wedding. Muffy studied her daughter before she spoke again, "So I take it you are both pleased with the match?"
Re: Parkinson Home
Pansy couldn't help smiling at her mother's question, at least temporarily forgetting her grumpiness and desire to be elsewhere. If her father wasn't angry about it, chances were that her mother wouldn't lay into her about it too terribly either, no matter if she were still upset or not. Leo certainly wore the pants in this household, though he was often wrapped around Pansy's little finger as well. "Exceptionally, mother." Her eyes shifted from her mother's, momentarily to her father's, and then to Draco. Once her gaze had settled on his face, her smile grew, though she didn't notice it. She sighed happily, tightening her fingers in his. "He's exactly what I'd hoped for." Figuring she ought to pretend that running away had never happened, and knowing she would have to otherwise distract her mother to fully get rid of any lingering tension in the room, she let go of Draco's hand and slipped from his protective arm. Getting up, she crossed the space to kneel by her mother's chair, putting her hand in her mother's lap. "Have you seen it? Isn't it lovely? Look, they're like flowers..." Leo beamed at his daughter's pleasure, watching as she made her mother smile. His attention turned again to Draco, his voice a bit lowered as the women talked. "Thank you again for fetching her, Draco. She'd only have come back for you."
