Re: Parkinson Home
Muffy couldn't help but smile when Pansy came over to show her the ring. It truly was a beautiful heirloom and the fact that it came from someone who Pansy obviously cared a great deal about made it even more special. After making sure that Leo and Draco were talking between themselves she placed her hand over Pansy's causing her daughter to look up at her, "I'm so glad you're happy with your match, your father and I had always hoped you would be happier than we were." She took her hand away and picked up the ring, holding it up to the light again, "The cuts on some of these emeralds is incredible." As Muffy and Pansy talked Draco focused his attention on Leo, "To be honest even if we weren't betrothed I would have gone after her anyway, as soon as she left all I could think about was getting her back and making sure she was safe."
Re: Parkinson Home
Pansy's smile remained wide on her face as her mother admired her ring. When her hand was covered by her mother's, she glanced up at the heavily made-up face. Her smile softened and she reached up to hug her mother gently. "Thank you," she whispered, letting her look at the ring again after, just smiling quietly as her mother went on about the ring's qualities and cuts and gems.
Leo couldn't hide the gentle smile that crossed his bearded face at Draco's words. "We are indeed lucky to be giving our daughter to a man like you, Draco. I truly am glad that we were able to arrange something with your parents. I know the both of you will be very happy, if any bit of your past is an indication of your future." His smile turned momentarily into a knowing smirk, and he lifted an eyebrow as he looked at the boy, seemingly sizing him up. Leo always knows more than he lets on.

Re: Parkinson Home
Draco smiled back, "Thank you sir, it means a lot to hear you say that." At Leos knowing smirk Draco got a little worried but not too concerned as he couldnt think of anything particularly awful they had done lately and considering they were engaged he was fairly certain he had a bit more wiggle room now. "I do hope that things keep going this well, but I think it's always helped us that we were friends first before anything else happened."
Once Muffy was done admiring the ring she stood up, "Would either of you like some tea? If you do then Mitzy will get you some, I need to head out for a bit but I will see you all at dinner." She kissed Pansy and Draco on the cheek and gave Leo a quick peck before heading out the room and leaving the manor.

Re: Parkinson Home
Leo took a little joy in Draco's slight nervousness. Of course, he didn't know what they had done in the sauna, or the room of requirement. He suspected, sure, but he did not know anything about that for certain. But he did know about the pool and the fact that though they went to sleep in different beds, they always woke in the same one here. He couldn't find it in himself to mind. He'd been Draco's age once. He understood. Most of all, he knew his Pansy would behave, and he knew that Draco would listen if she said no. "Friendship is key, indeed. It will be nice to call you a part of our family, even more so than you already are."
Pansy shifted back a little, standing and settling down beside Draco once again when her mother stood. She smiled a little, thinking that maybe since they were all getting along so well, that the four of them could have some tea together, talk things over a little bit and just enjoy actually getting along for once. Unfortunately, her mother simply kissed her on the cheek and left the room, and Pansy didn't bother to hide the disappointment on her face. She took the cup as the little house elf brought it into the room, blowing some steam off the surface of her tea.

Re: Parkinson Home
And Draco is supremely glad that Leo doesn't know about those things. And he's also glad that Leo has somewhat relaxed in his attitude towards Draco and understands their relationship that well. Draco wrapped his arm around Pansy and pressed a kiss to the side of her head when she sat down again, somewhat surprised by her disappointment but still understanding it, "We'll all have dinner together later and hopefully things will be just as good." Draco had actually been somewhat surprised that she hasn't been scolded yet but he guessed that as things had worked out Leo and possibly Muffy were actually going to forget all about it.
Re: Parkinson Home
Pansy attempted a little half smile at Draco, whispering softly to him. "It was just nice sitting and getting along as a family for once, is all." She sighed and gathered herself once again, taking a sip of her tea and watching the little tendrils of steam rising from her cup.
Leo reclined in his chair slightly, lifting a leg to rest his ankle atop his knee. He sat his tea cup aside, which looked miniature in his massive hands, and interlocked his fingers, resting them across his stomach. "They should be, Flower," he told her, confirming what Draco had said to try to please her. "She's got about a dozen new dresses to choose tonight, I shouldn't be surprised if she'll start putting them on hours before, changing at least seven times before she makes a decision." He laughed, a fond happy sound. "Though I will admit, I am glad that is one thing you did not inherit from her, the proclivity for inability to choose what to wear, and a need for spending more money than is ever necessary. Though I daresay it wouldn't be a problem if that habit should develop in the future. I know Draco's father will have him well looked after, and lined up for quite a prestigious position at the ministry if all goes as we planned." Though he would never reveal the true depths to which things had been planned for Pansy and Draco's futures, it was extensive and lined up down to the very details. Pansy would not be pleased to know the amount of control which her parents and Draco's parents still held over most every aspect of their lives, despite the fact that them being matched had given them just what they had wanted. A small appeasement for the ability to continue controlling everything else, but they would be happy while it all happened, and Leo knew that was all that mattered. This was how the Pureblood world worked. Pansy and Draco would do it to their own children in time.

Re: Parkinson Home
Draco nodded at Leo, knowing a few details of the plans but only ones that were essential at this point, "My father has mentioned the ministry a time or two. I think I am supposed to start in the new year but I'm not certain." He relaxed back into the sofa, sipping his tea and thinking about the future which was a far more plasent prospect now than it had been a month earlier. After a moment of silence he refocused on Leo, "Have you discussed with my parents yet when you expect the wedding to take place?" He wasn't naive enough to think that they didn't already have a plan for it, knowing a match between the two heirs of such formidable families was bound to be one of the premiere social events of the season.
Re: Parkinson Home
Leo nodded slowly. "Yes, not until January. You will have the rest of the summer to do as you please and the winter to settle into whatever you wish. Pansy, we've something lined up for you if you so wish to occupy your time with a bit of work, but of course that has been left up to you. Your mother insists that you ought not need to." He laughed, Muffy's voice ringing in his head. 'She's the wife of a Malfoy, and wives like us don't work! It's disgraceful! I couldn't take up a job just for fun!' Of course when he'd told he that she was more than welcome to, she didn't like it. Nor did she seem to appreciate his correction that their daughter was still a future wife, and not even yet a proper fiance. He chuckled to himself at the memory. "It has been discussed, but things are still not one hundred percent settled on that front, as a good deal of it has been arranged to remain up to the two of you. Your father, Draco, was all for setting a permanent date, picking a day this winter which you two would be married. However, I assured him that we ought not rush it, and suggested that the two of you might prefer to take things as they come and be given the luxury of a somewhat spontaneous proposal and wedding date choice." He smiled at Pansy after that, knowing she would be pleased with that news. She grinned back, the exact reaction as anticipated.
Re: Parkinson Home
Draco grinned with Pansy and leaned his head against hers, "Thank you for dissuading him, it'll be nice to do things at our own pace for a change. And if Pansy wants to work then I wouldn't stand in her way," he look at her and smirked, "After all a bored Pansy is never a good thing to have around." Draco would rather have her working anyway, make them an example of a new generation of purebloods and any children they had would have a lot more freedom. Not that they would be allowed to marry mudbloods or anything like that but they would certainly be part of the planning of their futures. Draco currently wasn't thinking of children as 'if's if he was going to be honest, more of a 'when', because he knew they were expected and he did actually want children with Pansy but he did know better than to mention it to her now.
Re: Parkinson Home
Pansy grinned widely at him, knowing there were always disastrous effects from her boredom. She kissed his cheek almost shyly, immediately resuming her innocent posture beside him, her hand clasped in his as she leaned comfortably into his side. It's grand that he knows better than to mention it, as the very idea of having children terrifies her. If the act which is required for creation of children still scares her to an extent, it is sure that having them is not even one of her thoughts at the moment. As far as she is concerned, she just wants to marry him and wake up beside him each morning, and fall asleep in his arms each night. A perfect existence by her definition, especially having him there to kiss her when she was sad, or even when she was happy. Reason was of no consequence.
Leo stood, smiling at the two of them. "I'll go and be sure that dinner has been ordered properly. An elf will fetch you when it's time." He kissed the top of Pansy's head, shook Draco's hand firmly again, and departed to leave them to themselves. Pansy broke into an unexplained fit of giggles, curling up into his arms and burying her smiling, giddy face in his shoulder.

Re: Parkinson Home
Draco hugged her as she giggled, "What's so funny?" He smiled and pulled her to her feet, wrapping her in his arms. They stood there like that for a moment before he pulled back and gave her a gentle reasonably chaste kiss. "Shall we head up to our room? I don't think we really need to bother keeping our stuff in seperate rooms anymore, it's just a hassle in the mornings." He kept his arm around her waist as they headed upstairs to unpack and change for dinner.
Re: Parkinson Home
Pansy merely shook her head with a smile, not sure what was so funny, and thus not having an answer for him. "Our room?" She grinned, wiggling a little in excitement as she laughed. "Yes, I think that's allowed. Mummy might be grumpy, but I think Daddy won't mind." She kissed his cheek, then again, and moved her lips to his jaw and onto his neck, slipping her arms about his waist. A moment later though she had leapt away from him, grasping his hand and pulling him along behind her at a run, up the stairs and through the corridors, shoving open the door of her bedroom and collapsing onto the bed with a laugh as the door slammed shut on its own.
Re: Parkinson Home
Draco laughed as she ran off, still holding her hand he followed and when they reached their room he fell onto the bed with her, his body half covering hers with his face burried in he shouder. He moved his lips and lightly kissed the nape of her neck, his arm sliding around to hold her around the waist. Since they had come back they had acted as though they were slowly exploring a new relationship, never taking things very far and slowly inching their way back to where they had been.
Re: Parkinson Home
This constant starting over that they did, well, Pansy found it hard to believe that this would be the last time that they would make a reboot and step back, easing their way into it all over again. It was nice in a way, letting themselves keep falling in love with each other time after time. She would bet a fistful of galleons that after the wedding, they'd do it all over again. It always got just a little farther than it had last time, and then they started back from square one. She figured that once they said their vows, they would stand on square one for the last time, but she knew she would enjoy it the last little bit that she would get. She liked this steady exploration of who each other is becoming, the gentleness in shy kisses and secret embraces. Laughing, she wrapped her arms tightly around his neck, holding him close to her as his lips traveled across her skin, hoping he wouldn't stop any time soon.
Re: Parkinson Home
Draco smiled against her warm skin when she wrapped her arms around him and moved the kisses over her collarbone, tickling her slightly, and up the opposite side of her neck. As his lips reached her jaw he stopped and nuzzled against her throat, loving the way she smelt. Pansy had never been one to wear cloying perfumes and Draco appreciated it, enjoying the scents of her shampoo and lotion. He pulled back after a few moments and ran a hand over her cheek, his lips pressing soft kisses all over her face.
Re: Parkinson Home
Pansy had hardly stopped laughing softly the whole time, tangling her fingertips in the slightly curled hair at the back of his neck. Her breathing, as expected, was quicker, but that had become normal for anytime she was this close to Draco. Once you make your heart believe that you're telling someone goodbye for an indefinite amount of time, and then they're back sooner than anticipated, well, you never want to let go again. And it's expected that a heart, denied something, being given it back so surprisingly, would go crazy for it. She beamed up at him as he kissed her face, her bright eyes drinking in everything about him as she let his lips do as they liked, pecking all over her.
Re: Parkinson Home
Draco noticed her smile and grinned because even though he knew they were both happy with this it always gave him a warm feeling to see her smile like that. Eventually he moved back, hovering over her and smiling, more than happy to stare at her forever. Slowly he leaned in to kiss her, his lips moving gently over hers. There was no need to rush anything between them anymore because now they knew they had as long as they wanted and longer.
Re: Parkinson Home
Pansy let out a slow sigh, followed by a quite deep inhale, as if she believed she could bring him closer by breathing in, drawing him down to her. She didn't move otherwise though, content to just lie here with her feet hanging off her bed, Draco poised above her with her arms about his neck and his fingers in her hair. "I love you, Draco Malfoy." It came as a little bit of a shock to her that she said it so randomly and so effortlessly. Of course she had told him that she loved him before, but it hadn't really become a part of anything they told each other daily yet. But it felt right. And after running away, there was a new little part of Pansy growing, one that wouldn't let her lose any opportunity that presented itself. She knew the world was fickle, and though they were promised that they could have each other forever, she wouldn't waste a single second of it.
Re: Parkinson Home
His smile widened at her words, if that was even possible at this point, "I love you Pansy Parkinson and I can't wait to marry you." Some days he woke up and it still felt like a dream, he had to remind himself that for once luck had been on his side and his parents had actually agreed to this. Speaking of his parents he remembered the next day, "Pans, I forgot to tell you, my parents are coming over tomorrow afternoon for tea to see us both."
Re: Parkinson Home
Pansy couldn't help laughing when he spoke, but not because she thought it sounded ridiculous or anything like that. Laughter was the only reaction it seemed her body could think of to show just how truly happy she was for the first time in a very long time. She laughed a lot since he had come to get her from Mama's hidden apartment. At his additional news, however, her smile fell, but only by a fraction. "Oh. Okay then." His father had always made her sort of nervous, and now that she did truly have to attempt to behave in front of them - for there was still time for the whole thing to be called off if their parents were angered - she was a little anxious about having tea with them. "I suppose I had better be on my best behavior. Maybe I'll get it all out of my system today instead." And she was laughing once again.
Re: Parkinson Home
Draco laughed with her, her good mood was contagious it seemed. "And if your mother gets upset just flash your ring and she'll be smiling again in seconds." He could feel the band of the ring against the nape of his neck, the metal and odd contrast to the warm skin of her fingers. He moved his own hand and brushed his fingers over her brow, shifting slightly so more of his weight was on the bed before he crushed her.
Re: Parkinson Home
Pansy's smile widened, and she knew he was right. Her mother would be easily pacified by seeing the fact that a wealthy heir had given her a family heirloom ring. An absolutely gorgeous one, at that. And the ring was pretty too. She didn't move her arms from around his neck as he shifted, instead pushing on him a little and rolling him over so that she could rest above him for a bit, looking down at him and playing with his hair. Leaning down, she kissed his lips softly for a second before pulling back once again, falling into a sort of giddy silence as they got used to being together again, and being allowed and even encouraged to do so this time.
Re: Parkinson Home
When they rolled Draco moved one arm to wrap around her waist. He couldn't stop the smirk that crossed his lips when he realised that not only were they both in Pansy's room now but when they slept in here there really wasn't much anyone could say about it now, no more sneaking around. Everything the used to hide they could do wherever they wanted now, and if their parents complained they could point out the ring and that it had been their idea to begin with.
Re: Parkinson Home
Pansy noticed the smirk on his face and knew just what it was for. She was having the same little thought process. This was all allowed now. The ring said so. Of course, there were still limits to it all if they were going to listen to their parents. But they couldn't stop Pansy and Draco from sharing a kiss at dinner if that was what they wanted, or running off hand in hand to Pansy's room, falling asleep curled up in each others arms. They could wander the gardens alone without hesitation and so many of the other things that they used to have to do so sneakily. Pansy was almost sad that it wasn't forbidden anymore, since being sneaky was one of the most fun parts of it all. Nevertheless, the freedom to do as she liked and as Draco liked was wonderful. "Want to go out to the Tower tonight?" Her voice was quiet, but full of excitement. It had been a long time since they had last visited the Tower, and it would be nice to go back in the state in which they were, as future spouses.
Re: Parkinson Home
Draco smiled and nodded, "Always. It's probably my favourite place anywhere in your house. We can bring out some snacks for a late supper too." Typical Draco thinking with his stomach. Slipping his hand around her jaw he pulled her in for another kiss. Seconds later they heard a pop and pulled apart to look at the elf. It told them dinner was in ten minutes before leaving as suddenly as it had arrived. Nudging Pansy off him with another kiss Draco sat up and ran his fingers through his hair. "I'm assuming it's nice dress as per usual tonight?"
