Jack grins. "Two firewhiskeys, ma'am," he says with a wink and a smile at Rosmerta that ensures nobody's going to be asking any questions about anybody's age. He pays for the drinks, leaving a generous tip, and leads the way to a secluded table. "Cheers," he says, lifting his glass in a toast.

YAY AMETHYST GOT A RIDE HOME SO SHE DOESN'T HAVE TO SIT AT WORK FOR 4 HOURS...WHICH IS GOOD CAUSE HER DAY SUCKED AND SHE JUST WANTED OUT OF THAT PLACE.

Of course Remus would worry about getting caught drinking underage, but it doesn't look like anyone's asking any questions so he'll just go with it for now. He sits down, glad for the secluded table because it's quieter over here.
He lifts his drink with Jack in the toast as well before taking a sip. It always burned going down at first, but it really wasn't all that bad. Of course the drink wasn't going to have much affect on him so he wasn't worried about drinking it either. "Hm, there's not a lot of people in today." he comments, looking around.

Jack takes a sip, feeling the familiar burn down his throat and settling into a vague warmth in the pit of his stomach. Of course, that might be as much the company as the alcohol. His eyes flicker around the sparsely populated pub before heading right back to Remus with a grin. "Lucky for us, then," he says, and takes another drink. "You're not out to many people yet, are you?" he asks, curious at Remus' shyness. Jack doesn't understand the meaning of the word, after all.

"No, not really." Remus admits, shaking his head. He looked down at his drink, shrugging. "When my friend first suggested that I consider the fact that I was gay I wouldn't listen to him, even after he kissed me and I couldn't deny I had enjoyed it. I'm pretty sure the room was drowning in denial at the time. Then I talked to Molly and Rad about it and soon I just couldn't deny it anymore. So those three know and then I had to tell my brother - I tell him everything. And then I met Albus the other day and found out that we were both pretty much in the same situation..." he tapped his glass absentmindedly, unsure of why he was explaining all this to Jack, "well, that we both had trouble coming out to our best friends especially since there were feelings towards those best friends. Al had the courage to tell his friend about his feelings, whereas I didn't..." he shrugged, "I'm not so sure I even plan on it, really. I told you I was fighting with Sirius...well, we're not fighting now and I want to keep it that way. Also I don't have to feel like I should avoid him constantly this way. The poor guy would have a heart attack probably if I told him. Sorry, I just started rambling didn't I? I guess the point is that, no, I really haven't come out to that many people. I'm just really shy, though I try not to be...it's just how I am."

Jack watches Remus intently as he talks, trying not to smile too obviously at the way he looks down and shrugs. He probably feels shy, but he looks ridiculously adorable. "Well it's good you have some people who know - at least you always know you have someone to talk to. And your friend Sirius... Well, you and I are very different people, and you've got to do what works for you, right? I've always known I was omnisexual, I think," he offers, figuring that if Remus could put himself out to share then Jack can do the same. "Ever since I was a kid, I've just been attracted to people as a whole, I can't even explain it properly I don't think," he says, shrugging. He's not really one of self-reflection.

"I wish I could've realized I was gay earlier..." Remus admits, "I kind of wonder if that would have made things easier somehow. I don't know...like, cause then maybe I'd have understood why I've always been so awkward around girls, and maybe take more time becoming more comfortable with the fact. The one date I went on with a girl just...did not go well. It was really awkward and we didn't even finish it." he chuckled, reaching out to take one of Jack's hands in his, absentmindedly playing with the other man's fingers, smiling lightly.

Jack chuckles, enjoying the way Remus plays lightly with his fingers. "Well, maybe it would've been easier and maybe it wouldn't. I've never not finished a date before, that's a bit spectacular," he says with a laugh, his fingers playing against Remus'. "You've really always been awkward around girls? Huh, that's interesting. You and Molly seem to get on alright. Well, the girl sort of just demands friendship I guess - the first time I met her properly, she waltzed up to me while I was with my boyfriend at the time, introduced herself, and asked if she could smell me," he says, laughing loudly at the memory.

Remus is glad he wasn't taking a drink when Jack tells him that. Otherwise he'd probably have choked on it from laughing. "She really did that? I think I can definitely see her doing something like that. She's awesome, she really is. I was kind of awkward around her at first - if I can recall correctly, I dropped my book at least twice from nerves the first time we met and talked. We've seen each other quite a lot since then and I've just grown more comfortable around her. I'm still quite awkward though when it comes to being around other girls." he shrugs, still playing lightly with Jack's fingers.

Inner!Molly is just sitting here in my head, chilled out and greaming, btw. She's all like 'yeah, that was me, whatev.' "Yeah, she really did that. Just waltzed up, cool as you like, and there you go," Jack laughs some more. "She's less flirty now that she has a boyfriend, but that's cool - I can respect that. Well, as long as you're comfortable around me, I'm just going to say that all those girls' loss is my gain." He winks. His fingers twist a little so that they can start to explore Remus' hands gently, firmly pushing away images of where he'd like those hands to be before he has to deal with another Perfectly Natural situation.

Remus grins, thinking about how Molly is just one of the coolest people he's ever met. She was really friendly and understanding as well, which he really appreciated. He reddened lightly at Jack's wink, "I do feel comfortable around you...which I'm really glad about." It felt kind of good to feel Jack's fingers exploring his hands gently, though Innocent!Remus, being innocent, doesn't really think anything else about it...unlike NotSoInnocent!Jack. Hehe.

"Very glad," Jack says in a low voice, his eyes fixed on Remus' face and loving the way it colours. He takes another sip of Firewhiskey and wishes they were alone. Inner!Molly is still greaming, and thinks she's a genius for helping set this up. "So you and your friend Sirius have been close for a long time? You share a dorm? What's your dorm like?" he asks, not really thinking about the fact that he should bring Sirius up as little as possible - he just wants to know Remus better.

"Oh, er, yeah." Remus nods. "Since first year actually. He, James, Peter, and I share a dorm together. Sirius and James have always had a habit of getting into lots of mischief. Peter and I aren't as outgoing as they are, definitely. I try to keep them all out of trouble as much as possible, but it's a tough job. They have minds of their owns, I guess." Well...except for Peter. Peter always just sort of goes with whatever everyone else is doing. Sad, really.

Inner!Jack just wants Remus in his bed now, but he's working on keeping this conversation going because he freaking adores Remus when he talks. And blushes. And sits. And drinks. And stands. And walks. And... well, you get it, right? "You're kind of lucky that the four of you get along so well - you hear horror stories about dorm-mates hating each other and putting each other through seven years of hell and all that. It's cool to hear the opposite exists too."

I hope you both know that this date caused me to lock Sirius out of my head on pain of death for the past day. He isn't allowed back in until this is over, pretty much. Now look what you've done.

"No, I don't." Remus chuckles. "I don't even bother anymore when they try pulling stuff over McGonagall. They should know by now that she doesn't put up with stuff, well, you would think anyway. Considering all the detentions they've had. Though sometimes I think she's slightly amused by them...you can sort of see it in her eyes. I've heard some things about roommate troubles...I mean, we've had some problems on occasion, but generally things are usually fine. I can't stand how messy they are though...my area's generally very neat and organized, just the way I like it." he grins.

Jack snickers. "I think McGonagall has a better sense of humour than most people give her credit for. Don't think she likes me too much though - might be something to do with all the flirting," he says with a shrug. Then he smirks. "A neat freak, hmm? I love a man whose a bit particular about where he wants things." Mya apologises for the terrible cheesiness of that, but Inner!Jack insisted...

He'd be all over that one with a perfect 'well, I know where I want your lips to be right now.' but he's not like that sooo...we won't get to use that perfect moment and it'll have to go to waste, sadly. "Oh...sometimes I think it gets on peoples' nerves...especially when I have to pause and take extra time before leaving the library because I keep seeing books out of place or not lined up perfectly."

Jack chuckles, because that was not quite what he meant, but it just makes Remus more attractive to him. The air of innocence about him is intoxicating, far moreso than the Firewhiskey, his one glass having no effect on him at all. Mya just might have died if Remus had actually said that. JS. "I bet Pince just loves you, though. You know I heard a rumour about her and Filch... I don't know whether to be insanely grossed out, or just think 'good for them'," he shrugs. As long as he's not tying her to Library tables like in that fic...

D: Well...technically Remus would have told Sirius about Jack while in the HW, because this date is supposed to happen after the full moon stuff. So Sirius should at least know a little bit about Jack.
