Re: A Nearby Park
Draco pulled off his own gloves and opened the newspaper from around his fish and chips because no matter what kind of person you are that is how you eat real fish and chips. "It really is, the change of scenery is nice. I didn't see what books you got earlier, anything cool?" Okay so Tam really wants fish and chips now but will settle for british chocolate so brb.
Re: A Nearby Park
It has been way too long since I've had fish and chips, this is not acceptable. I'm demanding it as soon as I get done with finals and can have time to actually go someplace and get it. Pansy was eating happily, distracted sufficiently by the scene and conversation. "Oh, just another astronomy one, like always, and then one on charms to do with altering environments and one on defensive spells. Just thought they might be some interesting reads."
Re: A Nearby Park
Pansy. Eating. VICTORYYYYY. Draco feels like a winner right now because this is awesome and omg this is technically probably the first Panco date. "I'm always amazed that you find more astronomy books every time, you're going to run out soon. That environments one sounds cool, can I borrow it some time? I was talking to Bulstrode the other day about running in the cold and charms like that."
Re: A Nearby Park
"Sure, there's probably something to help with that in there. It's a pretty big book. Getting something to make running in the cold better would be good. I guess that's why I prefer working out inside. Dueling in empty classrooms are definitely warmer than running outside." She laughed, not thinking that running in the snow sounded too appealing. "The day I run out of astronomy books will be a day of mourning, I think." She took another bite, reaching for her butterbeer and taking a sip.
Re: A Nearby Park
He smiled, watching her eat happily and more than pleased with how today worked out. "You running out will be incredibly sad but all it'll mean is that you'll have to write your own. It would be great if I could locate something to use, I love the grounds with all the snow I just don't want to catch a cold because I was working out. How is your dueling going by the way?" He drank some of his butterbeer and finished his fish, starting in on his chips and scraps now.
Re: A Nearby Park
[also that was meant to say that I'm going to sleep now because my eyes are closing so I'll reply to you later. Having a day at home relaxing, packing for Florida and playing on my Wii. Order of the Phoenix game here I come!]
Re: A Nearby Park
Pansy shrugged slightly, still eating her dinner. "It's been alright. Not sure what exactly the point of it all is, since it's not like I'm getting in fights every other day, but it feels good to know that I could take care of myself if I was in some kind of situation where I'd need to. Pretty safe to say I could probably kick most peoples asses." She smirked at him a little and ate another chip.
[NIGHT LOVE. who knows when/how much I'll be around tomorrow. D:]

Re: A Nearby Park
Draco smirked back and kissed her on the cheek, "I'm glad to hear that. So out of curiosity what's more interesting to you? The dueling itself, the art and motions and such, or the spells? Personally I love all the magic to it, learning all the spells and combinations." Draco was almost done with his chips now and was thus beginning to eye up hers though seeing her eat was wonderful and until she was done he wasn't actually going to steal anything for a change.
Re: A Nearby Park
"Hmmm." Pansy thought a little while, finishing eating what she wanted and dumping the rest of it over on Draco's empty newspaper. "I don't know. I guess I just like the feeling of it, but whether that's the motions or the spells, I don't know. The power of it, ability to make people respect you, or at least let them know you won't stand for less." She glared at the ground a moment, thinking of Black and his inability to learn, but brushed it away quickly.
Re: A Nearby Park
YUS MORE FISH AND CHIPSSSSS! I think I'm going to ask mummy to make me chips today. Yup. Chips, mushy peas and fishcakes. It's happening. Draco nodded, eating up the deliciousness that she had given him. "Makes sense. So what else have you been doing lately? Have you seen Theo since that time in the forest?" He wasn't sure if she wanted to talk about it but after talking to Theo he wanted to make sure she was okay.
Re: A Nearby Park
Pansy glanced away, remembering the forest. Sure it'd been the powerful feeling that she'd liked from dueling, but that one spell... a chill crept over her skin, though she wasn't so sure it was from the cold of the snow. "No, I haven't seen him since then actually." Pansy was quiet, the moment still bothered her a little, though she was doing what she could to get over it, telling herself that now that she knew what it was like, she at least wouldn't be tempted to just use it at leisure ever again.
Re: A Nearby Park
Draco finished the food and put the paper to one side, wiping his hands off, pulling his gloves on and then putting an arm around her shoulders, "I'm sorry I brought it up." He ran a hand up and down her arm a little, wondering if she was cold but assuming that with her layers of sweaters and coats she was fine. He had to admit to a certain curiosity about the use of the unforgivables now but knew that he would be forced to use them soon so he would rather put off the inevitable for as long as he could.
Re: A Nearby Park
Pansy leaned into him, resting against his shoulder. "It's fine." She leaned up and kissed him on the cheek. "What about you, with dueling? What's the best part for you?" She put her gloves back on, trying to re-warm her fingers a little where they'd been out in the cold air while she ate.
Re: A Nearby Park
"Honestly I don't really like it all that much but for me it's something my father is proud of. He doesn't care how well I do in potions or if I got O's in my OWLS but when I win a duel or show him some difficult new spell I've mastered he actually pays attention. It's one of the few things where, when I'm dueling, he's actually focused on me for a change." The other few things were topics that Draco didn't want to get into, dueling was the only semi-positive thing that he was involved with his father had ever cared about.
Re: A Nearby Park
Pansy nodded, she understood. Her father was the same way about dueling, but he was also proud when she did well in classes or did something that made her happy. Her mother only paid enough attention to her to criticize her or pick out new atrocious clothes for her, and Pansy was somewhat grateful her mother's attentions to her were fairly limited. "Well you know I'd be proud of you no matter what. Classes included."
[sorry, had to go to a meeting earlier, leaving for class now. Might reply in class if no one decides to bother me XD]

Re: A Nearby Park
[that's fine I know you're busy today everyday <3]
Draco's mother is highly undermentioned in all my posts but she somewhat ignores Draco too unless it's to tell him about social gatherings, eligible young ladies, or to berate him over his disinterest in said eligible young ladies. Draco smiled and gave her a soft kiss on the temple, "Thanks, I appreciate that." He rested his cheek against her head and looked out at the snowy park, the little playground on the side. "Remember that one time we came here when we were little, before our mothers realized that it would mean us interacting with all sorts of children."

Re: A Nearby Park
[Today, everyday, FOREVER.]
"Yeah, I can still remember their faces when they saw who all was there. Their precious little pureblood babies playing with all manner of kids, my goodness what an atrocity." Pansy laughed, lying down on the blanket with her head on his leg. She looked up at him, brushing loose snowflakes out of his hair. "It was almost fun with how much it bothered them."

Re: A Nearby Park
Draco laughed and smiled as she brushed away some of the snow. He put a hand back and grabbed some of it, packing it into a little ball in his glove, "It was fun." He tossed the snowball at the bench across the way and smiled when it smacked hard and broke up. "I love the snow."
Re: A Nearby Park
Pansy watched him make a snowball and throw it at the bench, it exploding on impact. "You always have loved the snow." She sat up and walked over to an undisturbed bank of snow, falling over into it and making a snow angel, not minding right now that there was going to be snow all in her boots and her hair and coat.
Re: A Nearby Park
Draco laughed as she made the snow angel and stood at her feet, giving her a help up so she didn't ruin it. He smiled at her with the snow in her hair and eyelashes, even more clumps of it stuck to her coat. "Perfect," He slid his arms around her waist and pulled her in for a kiss, enjoying the solitude and peace of the moment.
Re: A Nearby Park
Pansy reached up for his hands and stood, glancing down at the snow angel version of herself. She turned back to him as he put his arms around her, kissing him back and putting her arms around his neck, making sure not to get snow down the collar of his coat. She pulled back and looked up at him with a smile. "Yep. Perfect."
Re: A Nearby Park
Draco smiled and brushed some of the snow off her back and shoulders before it could soak into her. "I wish every day could be like this," If only they had that kind of time, or they didn't want to or have to keep this a secret. Soon they would be home again though so they could spend the days together without the prying eyes of hogwarts on them.
Re: A Nearby Park
"It could be." She chewed on her lip and looked down, playing with his scarf. "But I guess it has to be this way. Just sneaking away for a little time together. It's not fair that the mudbloods can just date whoever they want, when we're not even supposed to be together and we have to hide it." Her eyes found his again, attempting to look cheerful but probably failing. "But it's all about the image for us, all about making alliances and improving the family lines. They don't care about actually looking for someone you could love. And then you end up with couples like my parents. Dad had the money, mom had the political influence. They were perfect." Pansy rolled her eyes. Perfect or not, they never had and never would love each other.
Re: A Nearby Park
OMG IT JUST REGISTERED THAT SHE SAID "THAT YOU COULD LOVE". OMG. Draco nodded, looking down at her a little sadly, knowing that there was no point in hiding it, "All I know is that no matter what happens my children will get a choice. I don't care who I marry I won't let them do this to my children. The only way a match would ever be arranged would be if both children wanted it. I hate that we're all only children because our parents hate each other so much that they'll only have one heir." He sighed and put his head down on her shoulder, his cheek rubbing against the wool of her coat.
Re: A Nearby Park
Pansy rested her hand on the back of his neck as he put his head on her shoulder. "I know. And it's sad to think that we're only here because it was expected and required of them to have someone to give all their stuff to when they croak. And the more I think about it, the more appealing it is to run away from them if they expect me to marry someone I don't like for the sake of family name and property and all that mess. But even as much as I say that, I couldn't do it. Not because I wouldn't want to, just because they'd find me." Her fingers played in his hair a little, and she hid her nose in his shoulder, shielding part of her face from the cold.
