Remus misses Jack too!!! And Kingsley misses Molly lots as well!

"Well...actually, Sirius and I sort of fought because he was mad I took so long to tell him that I'm gay..." Remus sighed. "I felt really bad, and what made it worse at the time was because I had promised him that I'd tell him everything and I didn't. I didn't tell him about the feelings I had...and still have, for him." he groaned, rubbing his eyes with the palms of his hands. "That would just make things so awkward, you know? So I decided to try and squash my feelings..and then Molly introduced me to Jack. He's a Ravenclaw in seventh year. We hung out a few times and then he asked me on a date to Hogsmeade this past weekend." Remus was smiling brightly, happy to think about the awesometastical date he'd had with Jack. "It was so much fun! And now...we're together. Oh, you should meet him, Dean! He's just the nicest guy!" Happy!Remus is happy.

Dean froze at the mention of the Ravenclaw. Seriously? Why did EVERYONE he know have to be involved with a Ravenclaw. He fought that thought back and smiled, glad to see Remus so happy. "That's really great to hear Remus! I'm really happy you found someone! I'm sure things will get better with Sirius. You two have been friends since...." He thought for a moment. "Well, as long as I can remember. I know how it feels to have feelings for one of your best friends."

"We've been friends since first year...can you believe it? So long. But yeah, it just...wouldn't work. I know too well his opinion on being gay..." he bit at his lower lip, trying not to sound too bitter. "I know I'll be happy with Jack though. He's just..amazing."

Dean remembered a particular game of truth or dare at the lake with Sirius. He freaked out when someone dared another guy to eat something of Sirius' body, and how bad Sirius freaked. So, he knew how...un-gay Sirius was. "Well, I guess I'll have to meet him sometime. I'm just glad you are happy." He smiled as best as he could, but he had a pretty big grudge towards the Ravenclaw house.

"Thanks, Dean." Remus smiled, placing an arm around his brother's shoulders. "This year is definitely a strange one. You know, I think I've spent way less time in the library than other years...it's freaky. Too much time outside thinking. I'm going to have to change that."

Dean stared for a moment, not really believing what Remus said. "Wait. Did I hear right? You haven't been in the library?? That's...That's crazy. I've actually been in there a few times recently." All of one time. "Well, it's good you're getting out more I guess." He was kind of at a loss for words right now.

"I know it's crazy! Sirius said hearing that would give him a heart attack." Remus shook his head, chuckling. "I still probably spend about all of my time there. It's just when I really need to think about something - I head outside and just walk, or I go to the kitchen and make something. Cookie?" he hands Dean another cookie cause he really did make too many so people need to eat cookies!

Dean grabbed a cookie and started nibbling on it so he could talk. "Yeah, I've been spending most of my time away from the common room. I actually feel asleep outside a few times." He rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly. "I have almost a whole sketchpad full now too, just from being out here so much."

Naturally Dean had his sketchpad on him. He didn't trust it being all by itself anymore. "Well, okay, but they aren't my best." He handed it over to Remus and watched carefully. It was mostly a lot of just lone trees, really sad looking landscapes done in mostly blues, and this one lady he couldn't get out of his brain. He had no clue who she was, but she was in a lot of the drawings.

Dem is down near the lake, the first time she has been out since she has gotten back from the christmas break. She wanders for a little while, looking for a soft looking spot. When she finds one, she sits down cross legged and stares off into the distance, not really thinking about anything in particular.

Lily is all rugged up in her coat and scarf. She knows it's a little chilly to be out on the grounds, but she doesn't care. She just needs a little time to think, take time out for herself as she processes her last few weeks. It's all been a bit much, really, and the biting air that cuts into Lily's lungs does her good. She walks, feet crunching on the snow-laden ground, pausing in surprise as she spots another figure out in the cold. She'd not been expecting that. She recognises her fellow Gryffindor Demelza and walks closer to say hello to the younger girl. "Hi," she says, her voice soft so as not to disturb any peaceful moments the other girl may have been enjoying.

Demelza hears a quiet voice and looks up to see Lily. "Oh, hello Lily. How are you? Did you have a good Christmas break?" She asks the older girl, curiously, then asks her some more questions, "Would you like to sit down? Or are you just passing by?" She looks up at her.

Lily smiles, and thinks that a little company might do her some good, so she takes a seat next to Dem in answer to a couple of her questions, wincing slightly as the cold snow dampens the seat of her jeans a little. "I'm alright," she says. "And my Christmas was... interseting. It's the first year I've ever stayed here instead of going home. How was your break?" she asks, tucking a stray strand of hair behind her ear.

"It was alright, fairly quiet, but good. I went home to see my family. We spent christmas with all the relatives and it was nice." She said, explaining what she did during the break. "Even though I love to spend time with my family it's great to be back at Hogwarts." She said happily, looking around at the grounds and castle.

"That sounds nice," Lily says with a smile that turns just a little wistful around the edges. "Usually I spend Christmas with my family, but my sister and I had a fight and I didn't want to ruin the holiday for everyone. So, I stayed. It wasn't so bad though. Actually, it was really nice. Gideon, my boyfriend, stayed too and his sister Molly ended up making Christmas dinner. It was something else," she tells Dem.

"Oh, that must suck." She says sympathetically, "Fighting with your sister just before christmas, but I'm sure that you two will make up soon. I mean, you're sisters. You can't stay mad at each other forever." She tells Lily reassuringly. "And it's good that you at least got to spend christmas with people that care about you."

Lily laughs a little. "She's been mad at me for about six and a half years. If she can't stay mad at me forever, she's still taking a pretty good run at it," she says, then shrugs. "It's no big deal, I'm used to it. I just don't like knowing that my Mum would've been upset at my not coming home, you know? It was a pretty big deal for my parents, letting me come here to a world they don't understand and can never really even see. Mum always insisted I come home and see them as much as I could. You're right though - I really didn't miss out on anything this Christmas."
