Re: Somewhere by the Lake
Draco nodded with her, "Sounds good to me, no reason I can't go." When she sat up he sat up too and faced her, running a hand through his hair to get rid of any grass or dirt. He looked up at her and grinned, half expecting it when she ran off. He leapt to his feet and ran off after her, catching up and running next to her, a smirk playing across his lips. "You've caught your breath now then?"
Re: Somewhere by the Lake
Pansy sped up a little once he caught up with her, smirking back at him. "Oh, yeah. I could run for days." Kicking it into high gear, she took off through the field, heading for the small bit of forest on the other end. The trail cut through there before circling back down toward the lake and rounding back to where they had come from. Not a terribly long trail, about a mile all together, but Pansy liked it for the scenery. A few logs had fallen across the trail, and that was one of Pansy's favorite parts, jumping over them. Like a deer. Which she did.
Re: Somewhere by the Lake
Of course she would jump them like a deer. Draco laughed and ran after her, not bothering to try to keep up any conversation. His long legs made it easy for him to keep up, jumping right over the logs behind her but not quite looking like a cute little woodland creature as he did so. When they reached the spot by the lake where they had started Max was sitting there by their things waiting for them, looking rather disgruntled.
Re: Somewhere by the Lake
Yes, of course she does. Pansy enjoys acting like cute woodland creatures while prancing over fallen logs and such. Pansy ran up to Max when they got back, diving toward the ground to wrap her arms around him and pull him down with her, rolling onto her back with him on top. "Hey boy!" He made some odd sounds, mixtures of displeasure of being left here alone and happiness at her return, eventually settling for running around and wagging his tail, jumping and nipping the air playfully. He soon settled down again, his hard playing from earlier having worn him out. He might be getting to dog size, but he was still a puppy who needed puppy naps. Pansy stayed there in the grass, putting her hands behind her head and looking up at Draco. "Well, you caught up at least." She smirked at him, kicking her shoe against his as he stood there.
Re: Somewhere by the Lake
Draco watched as Pansy rolled with Max and the big black dog jumped around, hitting Draco with his tail a few times. He rolled his eyes at her and nudged her foot back, waiting for Max to properly relax before he sat down again, remembering what had happened to his hair last time. "Please, if I knew where we were going I would have beaten you easily." When Max put his head down and seemed to go to sleep he sat down next to her and grabbed his potions book and a chocolate bar. Breaking off a piece he offered it to her, "Snack?"
Re: Somewhere by the Lake
"Oh, I'm sure you could have. But you cannot leap like a deer, which affords me great speed and agility." She grinned at him, taking the chocolate and biting off a corner of it. She noticed he had grabbed his potions book, but didn't mind so much now. At least he had made a rather acceptable attempt at studying earlier, and that was more than he would have done on his own. She took another little bite of her chocolate, stretching her legs out in front of her and reaching for her toes, stretching a little after her run just to cool down and all that good stuff. "Back to potions, I see?"
Re: Somewhere by the Lake
Draco smiled and watched her stretch for a moment before replying, "Yeah, done with charms. I don't know how you can read that book, it has to be one of the most boring things ever written. At least this," he flipped through the potions book to the section he had seen in the shop, "is interesting." He put the book on the ground and stretched one leg out to the side, leaning over to stretch as he read the book.
Re: Somewhere by the Lake
Oh, I'm sure Draco watched her stretch. It's a wonder his mind isn't running all over the place now, huh? I guess he knows he's not getting any anyway. Pansy leaned over and looked at his book, shrugging. "Well, that looks like one of the most bring things ever written to me. I happen to like charms, thank you." She stuck her tongue out at him playfully, finishing stretching a little before she pulled her new astronomy book out of her bag, opening it up to where she had stuck a ribbon between the pages to mark her spot.
Re: Somewhere by the Lake
Draco wasn't even thinking that when he was watching her, it was more of a zoning out for a moment with his eyes pointed in her general direction. Goodness, does she think so little of him? He glanced over at her book and smiled, "And yet I notice even you have given up studying it. So what's different about that book." He leaned over her shoulder to look at it for a moment but didn't see anything that looked wildly different to him. Then again he supposed that was how she felt when she looked at his potions books.
Re: Somewhere by the Lake
Scorpius gave her the sex talk. Now as far as Pansy knows, every boy is horny all the time, whether he shows it or not. Therefore, because Draco is a boy, he must be thinking always of sex. "Yes, well we all know I could get a troll grade on this test and still have a beautiful O in the class." She smiled at him as he leaned over her shoulder, flipping a few chapters back. "This one has all kinds of things about black holes and crazy stuff like that." She pointed at a few drawings of what black holes supposedly looked like, and some equally as crazy diagrams all laid out beside it.
Re: Somewhere by the Lake
Scorp is a special type of male but Draco's not aware of Pansy's thought process so he can't really remedy it. He promises though that right now he's not thinking about sex. Cocking his head to one side he looked at the odd diagrams, "Hmm, that's actually kind of cool. Do the black holes really eat things then?" That was honestly all he could remember ever hearing about them. That things went in and didn't come out, or at least weren't recorded coming out. Maybe it was like a time loop. That would be cool.
Re: Somewhere by the Lake
"I think so. I haven't really read that chapter just yet, so when I figure out I'll let you know." She grinned and tried to turn to look at him, but because his face was right over her shoulder, she only managed to bump their cheeks together. She laughed and looked forward again, glancing down at her book and turning it back to where she had been currently reading, yet another chapter about constellations.
Re: Somewhere by the Lake
Draco smiled as she bumped his head and leaned his head against hers for a second before pulling back to lie down in the grass again with his book, "Yeah let me know, I'm actually curious about that. I'm also amazed you found a new book." Draco lay on his back for a moment before shuffling around and rolling onto his stomach to rest the book in front of him. Looking up he saw Max passed out in the grass and smiled before turning back to his chapter on sleeping potions.
Re: Somewhere by the Lake
"Amazing, right? It's probably the last in the world that I've not read about astronomy already." Pansy laid back in the grass a little after he did, holding her book up to block the sun just like she had earlier. She snuck a glance over at him before turning back to her book again. Today had been nice. They'd been closer today than they had in quite a while, what with lying on his stomach like a pillow and the running and tackling and all. Though Pansy was far from ready to let him too close just yet, it was still quite nice.
Re: Somewhere by the Lake
Draco chuckled and relaxed in the grass making it through almost two chapters of his book before he looked up again and noticed it was getting a little dark. He sat up and turned to face her, "Pans, want to head back in now? Dinner is calling." He didn't really wait for an answer, slipping his book back into his bag and looking around to make sure he hadn't forgotten anything.
Re: Somewhere by the Lake
Pansy had reached out for him as he got up, but he was too far by the time she had tried. She sighed and stayed where she was, feeling quite lazy. She kept reading a little as he packed up his things, closing her book once he was done and holding her hands up in the air expectantly, so that he could pull her up. She grinned at him, waiting.
Re: Somewhere by the Lake
Draco slipped his bag over his shoulder, stuck her book into hers and picked that up too. With a smile he walked over to her and took her hands, pulling her up. He walked over to Max and crouched down, running a finger down the dog's back and laughing as his head popped up, looking around in confusion. Standing Max followed Draco back over to Pansy and headed up to the castle.
Re: Somewhere by the Lake
Pansy laughed when he took her hands, jumping up off the ground and scratching Max behind the ears as he walked over. Pansy tried to take her bag back from Draco, but of course he was insistent on being the gentleman and carrying her bag. Though she made a little fuss about it, she deeply loved it. It made her quite happy actually, having him carrying her bag and doing things like that for her. It felt like what dating should be. She followed him inside, heading into the Great Hall.
Re: Somewhere by the Lake
Reed had watched the cat apprehensively as it twisted around his ankles. Luckily she didn't do anything bad. So him, Kras, and Snez made their way to the lake, Reed chatting happily the whole way while holding Kras' hand. He didn't trip once, which had to be some sort of record or something. Once at the lake, Reed smiled around. "It's so nice out here! Gotta put this on quick though.." He let go of Kras' hand so he could apply his sunscreen to his face and arms. "I doubt you will, but you can use some if you'd like. It's cherry scented too!" He smiled up at his boyfriend then sat to remove his shoes and roll up his pants a bit.
Re: Somewhere by the Lake
Kras is positively shining the whole way down to the lake because he's with Reed - who is absolutely adorable and it's so much fun listening to him chatter so much - and they're holding hands the whole way despite any looks they've gotten. Looks don't bother Kras, people can think votever they'd like. He's just always sort of worrying that they might upset Reed and Kras doesn't like it when Reed is upset. He's also quite happy because Reed hasn't tripped the entire way down and that definitely had to be some sort of record. "It's gorgeous out here." Kras nods in agreement, sitting down next to his boyfriend. Kras puts some sunblock on too - he doesn't sunburn easily but he's still careful - and Snez automatically bounds over to investigate the cherry scented stuff. She licks Kras' arm and then scrunches up her face and sneezes. "Oh! Bless you, Snez." Kras laughs, patting his cat's head softly. Snez turns and bounds off, intent on catching some birds...even though she's too tiny to hop up high enough to get any. There was no way she was climbing any trees - those things could fight back. And she liked her pretty white clean hair the way it was, thank you. Kras chuckles as he watches Snez bound off. Then he flops backward to lay on his back and stretches. "Yay! I love the outdoors!"

Re: Somewhere by the Lake
Reed didn't even see any of the people looking at them funny on their way down. For all he knew, it was just him and Kras in the castle. He smiles over at his boyfriend, who was literally glowing in the sunlight, and he lost his train of thought for a few minutes as he stared with his mouth hanging open. "Yeah. Great." Then he shakes his head and looks at the water. He can't swim, but he wanted to dip his toes in. So, he jumps up and practically skips to the waters edge. He looks back at Kras as if he's asking some sort of permission, then slowly takes a step into the water that doesn't even go up to his ankles. "Ooooh. It's cold. And it tickles." He starts giggling then turns around, holding his hand out as an invitation for Kras to join him.
Re: Somewhere by the Lake
Kras watches Reed skip to the edge of the lake, grinning at him when he turns to look back. When Reed holds out his hand, Kras rolls his pants legs up and gets up to go join him. "Oh...it is cold." he shivers lightly as he places a foot into cool water. "I vonder if...ah ha!" he reaches down and picks up a flat tiny stone then skips it out across the water. It skips about four times before sinking down. "I haven't done that in ages. Here, you try!" He grins, finding another tiny flat stone and holding it out for Reed to take.

Re: Somewhere by the Lake
Reed watches in amazement as Kras skips the rock on the water. "How did you?" Then he looks down and sees Kras is holding out a rock for Reed to take. He grabs it and looks at it as if he's never seen such a thing in his life. "L-like this?" He tossed the rock and it just sank about a foot in front of them. "Oh..." Reed looks really sad that he wasn't able to do it right. He looks down at his feet and starts kicking the water a little bit.
Re: Somewhere by the Lake
Awwwwwwwwweh <3
Kras just stares because holy crap that was freaking adorable and Reed still just looks all adorable. "It's okay. It's tricky and hard to get the first couple of times. Here," he finds another little rock and stands next to Reed, "you have to crouch down a tiny bit," he gently pushes Reed down so he's copying how Kras had stood before when he had thrown a rock, "and then you take your hand back and instead of tossing or flinging it you have to sort bring your arm forward quickly and flick your wrist." he held Reed's hand as he demonstrated the proper technique. "Now try it. It might take a few tries but don't give up." he smiled, stepping back so Reed could try.

Re: Somewhere by the Lake
Reed blushes scarlet when Kras comes over to help. He feels really awkward with the he's standing, but he listens to every detail Kras shares. He was determined to get this right. "So, like this?" He crouched down and brought his arm back and tossed the rock. "OH NO! I DIDN'T FLICK MY WRIST. Let me try again! I swear I'll get this right!" Reed was a perfectionist, and he did not give up on things. Nope. He would get this. Plus, he felt like if he got it right, Kras would think he was cool or something. "How do you know which rocks to use?" He would have grabbed one himself, but didn't know if there was a specific type, or color or whatever.
