Dean squints his eyes until he sees the island Luna was pointing to. "Oh. I didn't even know that was there! That's quite the perfect idea! I would love to be able to do that right now, but I obviously don't have all my art supplies...or a picnic basket. But we'll do it sometime soon. Maybe I'll bring Giggity, if you don't mind, he hasn't been out of the dorm much."

"Yes! It'll be lots of fun," she agreed, beaming at the thought. "And I'd love for Giggity to join us. I felt like I haven't seen him in so long," she noted, smiling at the thought of Dean's...purple cat, which she didn't find odd at all because she's Luna. "How is he?"

Dean smiled fondly, thinking about his totally normal purple cat. "He's great! I don't think there's a single mouse left in all of Gryffindor tower. I could have sworn I saw him hanging out with a huge white fluffy cat the other day. And judging by the diamond collar, I'm assuming that cat was a girl, so it appears he's found himself a girlfriend." He laughed a little. "Good thing I had him fixed though, I don't think a giant, fluffy purple cat would be as pretty."

"Oh! That's lovely! I'm sure they're very happy together. Giggity is a nice cat. He deserves to find someone special for himself." She smiled, thinking of how nice it was that Giggity found a girlfriend to spend his free time with. "I'm sure the Slytherins would appreciate his presence. I bet they get lots of mice down in the dungeons."

Dean smiled a little. "Well, I guess I'll have to tell him to go down that way sometime. As long as the Slytherins leave him alone. I'm still trying to figure out what I'm going to do with him when me and Nev go on our trip. I feel bad leaving him anywhere. I don't know, maybe my mom will be able to take care of him. I know he'd love to stay here, but I would feel bad just giving him away." He sighed a little and pulled Luna a little closer to his side.

Luna smiled as she felt herself being pulled closer to Dean. "You and Neville are going on a trip?" She tilted her and to the side and smiled. "That'll be fun. Where are you two going?" And if Dean already told Luna this, then I feel really bad and really stupid. <.< "You could always leave Giggity with me."

We'll just pass it off as momentary lapse in memory >.> "Yeah! Neville decided he was going to come with my on my trip around the world next year! It's gonna be awesome!" Then he smiled a little. "Really? You'd take care of him? I mean, it will be for a whole year I don't want to like, force him on you or something like that."

...Oh, Irememberthatnow. Oops. *fails* "Oh, that'll be fun!" She exclaims, as if she never knew that before or anything because Luna is a fail. "And of course! I'll still be at Hogwarts so Giggity won't have to worry about being someplace strange, and this way I won't be as lonely when you leave school this summer."

Dean nods, rather liking this plan. "Okay. Deal. He's pretty low maintenance and with being in an entirely new part of the castle, he may be a bit elusive for a while. Thank you Luna. It's nice knowing that he'll be with someone that will care for him. And I don't want you to be lonely next year. But I promise I will write you as often as possible, which will probably be at least once a day."

Luna smiled as Dean promised to write her. It was going to be weird not having her best friend around for the next to years, and she was really going to miss their studying dates together, but it was at least comforting knowing that she'd be hearing from him every day. "Good. Because I'll be expecting to know all about your trip," she smiled, nudging him in the side with her elbow. "And it's no problem. I know you'd do the same for me, and it'll be fun having a temporary pet."

Dean sighed. "I wish you could come with. I'm gonna be sad not getting to see you all the time." Then he again thought of the conversation he had with Parvati. "Hey, can I tell you a secret?" He was nervous now, wondering how Luna would take this, learning about Dean's 'secret' life.

Luna tilted her head to the side. People never told her secrets before. Probably because then they wouldn't be secrets anymore, but still. "Of course you can," she told him, smiling encouragingly. "You know you can tell me anything."

"Right." He bit his lip nervously. "I always want to be honest with you. Only very few people know about this. But, I figure you should know how I'm able to pay for mine and Neville's trip." He took a little breath and continued, "Well, you see, I have this sort of business thing I do on the side. Not as often during the school year, but sometimes on the weekend. I, uh, well I entertain people. Mostly women, by...dancing." He was super embarrassed by this point.

Luna smiled when Dean told her he was a dancer. When she was younger her dad had taken her to a modern ballet, and she had found it entertaining and loved the idea of dancing ever since. She had never even known that her best friend was a dancer as well! And a professional one at that if he was getting paid and all that. "That's lovely, Dean! I had no idea that you danced. How long have you been taking lessons? Or did you teach yourself how to dance? I'd love to go to one of your shows sometime, if you don't mind."

Dean bit his lip again when Luna didn't fully understand. "Um, well. I taught myself I guess. But, I don't know if you'd want to come to a show. And I'll stop doing them if it makes you uncomfortable. I um, well I...sort of, take my clothes off." He looked down so he could see her reaction.

Luna tilted her head to the side, not sure what Dean meant until it finally hit her. "Ooh, like costumes? I know, Dean. Most people take their normal clothes off for dancing. The costumes are one of my favorite parts."

Dean sighed. "No Luna. I'm a stripper." He had never before called himself that, but he didn't want any more confusion. "It's really random how it all started, but yeah..People pay me to come to parties, and entertain them." He looked at her to see if she understood yet.

Luna's eyes widened in shock. She had heard plenty about them but she never knew they really existed. "Oh." She blushed, unsure of what to do or say. "Well, that's...that's nice. As long as you're having fun, I suppose."

Dean wanted to smack himself because Luna clearly looked a little uncomfortable. "Like I said, it was completely random how it all started. Over the summer, I was just walking down the street and this lady pulls up in a big black car and rolls down the window. Then she offered me quite a bit of money to come...entertain her friends. And well, I knew I was going to be taking this trip next year, so I needed some money. So I did it, and after the ladies were all thrilled and started secretly spreading the word about me. And so I sort of started an accidental business. But now that I have enough money saved, I'll stop. I don't want to make you uncomfortable at all."

"Well, you don't have to stop if it's something you enjoy doing now that you've gained all these customers," she told him quietly, unsure of how she felt about his secret job. She wasn't worried about what it was that he was doing. It was just...unexpected and not something she was used to. "And you're clearly good at it if it's making you all this money. I wouldn't want you to stop just because of me."

Dean smiled because Luna was just amazing. "Well, how about I quite doing it for me. I've been single the whole time I've been doing this, but I don't think it's fair anymore to take my clothes off in front of a bunch of other women. Plus the job requires a bit of flirting, and I only want to flirt with you." He hid his face a little at the cheesy line, but it was perfectly true.

Luna blushed, not used to being flirted with. Even with Hermione it hadn't really been a flirtatious relationship. "Well, it's your choice in the end," she assured him with a small smile before leaning over to kiss him on the cheek. "I don't care what you want to do after school, as long as it makes you happy."

Dean smiled and felt his face get hot when she kissed his cheek. "Well, I'd be happy with you." Then he laughed. "Sorry, I don't mean to be so cheesy. Um, I still don't know what I want to do actually. Is that bad? I mean, I'd like to do something with animals, or something where I can draw, but I don't really know what."

"Well, it's a big decision trying to figure out what you want to do after school, so I don't think that's bad. And whatever you end up doing, it's not like you'll have to stay with it forever. You can always change your mind," she told him, hoping he'd find it somewhat comforting at least. She knew what she wanted to do after school, but she knew she could always change careers if she wanted to.

Dean smiled. "Yeah, you're right. I'm still young, it's not like I have to be stuck in the same career for the rest of my life. I can try a few things and decide which I like best and stick with that. But nothing behind a desk, because that would be horribly dull and I'd probably go insane or something."
