Sidney walks down to the grounds to explore around a bit. The grounds are beautiful and she wants to see them properly, which she hasn't had a chance to since she has been here. She spots a massive lake and decides to wander over to it.

Al was walking along when he ran into (not literally into) a pretty Ravenclaw girl, judging by her robes. He smiled and decided to say hello, seeing as it was sort of nice outside and he didn't have anyplace else to be. "Hey. I'm Al," he said with a grin. "Nice day out, huh?"

"Hi Al. I'm Sidney." She said smiling at the guy she had just met. She observed that he was a Slytherin. Apparently they were whe least nice out of all the houses, well that's what she has heard, anyway. He seemed nice enough, though. "How are you?" She politely asked him, making conversation.

Al shrugged. "I'm alright- Kind of bored. How about you?" he asked politely, leaning against a tree as he casually ran his fingers through his curly hair. He didn't know why, but recently he felt like quite the social butterfly.

"I'm great! I'm new here at Hogwarts and so far it has all been amazing! I don't know why I was homeschooled when I could have been at this amazing place." She rambled, then awkwardly looked down. "Sorry about my ramblings. Sometimes I get a little bit carried away."

Al chuckled. "It's all good. I tend to ramble, myself. You're new here? That's awesome! I'm glad you're liking everything so far. Have you met many people yet?"

"No, I haven't really met many people. People have introduced themselves to me, but I haven't really met them. I want to meet some more people over the next few days, but I'm sometimes a bit shy around people that I don't know that well." She told Al, absentmindedly twirling her finger in her hair.

"Aw. Well, I hope you meet more people soon. People are pretty friendly here for the most part," he said with a light shrug. "And I think you're pretty awesome. Like I said, I've been bored lately, so if you ever want to hang out then I'd totally be down for that."

Sidney smiled. "Thanks and that would be cool. So, what do you guys do here for fun?" She asked because she hadn't really seen what people did here and was curious.

Al shrugged. "Nothing exciting. Occasionally there'll be a game of spin the bottle or truth or dare, but we haven't done that in a while. I personally play music in my spare time. Some people fly around on the pitch. Ever play Quidditch before?"

"No, I'm one of those people who prefer to keep both of my feet on the ground." She informed him. "I love to watch it, but it's just not something I'd do myself."

"I'm not a huge fan of it, but I am on the team. My brother was always the Quidditch player of the family. He plays all the time. I just sort of do it as a hobby. Something to pass the time," he said, which wasn't a total lie, though the main reason he had joined the team was to impress his father. Ever since he got sorted into Slytherin, Al had always felt the need to have to try and live up to James and his dad, since he didn't make it into Gryffindor.

"I'm sure you're great, even if you're not the quidditch player of the family. And you enjoy it, so that's a good thing." She said to him, unaware of the main reason he joined. "What position do you play on the field?" She asked curiously.

"I'm a chaser, so I get to do all the fun stuff," he said with a grin. "I guess I'm alright. Practices tend to get pretty intense though. Flint is always nagging on us to be better so we can beat the Gryffindors."

"If I ever did play quidditch, I'd want to be a chaser." She said with a nod. "It seems like a fun position. How are you guys against the Ravenclaw team?" She asked because there hadn't been any games since she had been here and was a little curious as to how her team was on the pitch.

"We're alright," he shrugged. "Their team is actually a lot better this year. Looks like they've been practicing a lot," he said, which I am just making up since we never actually have games on here.

Sidney smiled when she heard that her team were fairly good. "Maybe we'll beat the Slytherin team in the next game." She teased. The next game which is never. What if we actually did have games on here? It would be complete chaos.

People would probably end up in the Hospital Wing and everyone would be posting at once. It would be madness. Sheer madness. "We'll see about that," he teased back with a smirk. "Maybe you guys will have a shot at winning the cup this year, after all."

"We most definitley do have a shot at the cup, which will have Ravenclaw's name on it this year." She smiled as she said that.

Al chuckled. "Oh, it's on. We'll see about that one. Now I feel bad for ditching the last practice," he admitted, with a touch of the shifty eyes because ditching practice is not a dapper thing to do.

"Well you should because how would your team win without one of their chasers?" She said, grinning. I was going to say smiling, but I have used that word quite a lot during this conversation. Just a little piece of information for you there.

And now I know a little bit more about you as a person. I feel...like knowing that has created a bond of sorts between us, I do. "They have two others. Besides, maybe I'm good enough to be able to still be totally awesome, even without practices," he said jokingly, laughing a bit at his own joke.

I don't tell people those sorts of things everyday, so you're lucky. "Yes, maybe. But maybe isn't good enough if you want to beat Ravenclaw." She informed Al. "It's your choice though." She said shrugging.
