Al bit nervously at his bottom lip before answering, then clutched Woodstock to his chest. "Well...yeah." He cleared his throat before continuing. "I never told you this, but Scorpius and I are only together because of a mistake. He...got drunk one night and he asked if I'd get mad if he kissed me. I said yes...and I didn't expect him to kiss me so intensely. He forgot all about it by the next day and I figured it'd be best to just...not say anything. But I realized after that, that I wasn't straight and that I had feelings for Scorpius." He licked his lips, his heart aching as he remembered what happened next. "I decided that I couldn't be his friend anymore after that kiss. I loved him too much. So, I told him about the kiss and that I liked him and it didn't go well. We got into a fight and I walked out on him. We didn't talk for weeks. I thought I'd lost him forever," he admitted quietly.

Parvati shifted in his bed slightly so she was laying down on her stomach and listened to his story. She nodded as he went on and on and felt like it was kind of like her and Dom's relationship but varying slightly in different ways. Her and Dom were never supposed to kiss but then they did and Dom avoided her for months after what happened in the showers that day after practice, then when they finally did talk about it Dom told her she was Bisexual and Parv told her that she was in love with her cousin. Then Dom got upset about it and Parv walked out. Before she even knew what was happening she could feel tears starting to form in her eyes and she was just staring at Al blankly as a few tears slid down her cheeks. She clenched her eyes shut, trying not to cry as she thought of what it would be like not talking to Dom again for weeks. She missed having Dom as a friend and she needed her and she didn't want to go on forever without having her in her life.

Al's face fell when he realized that he had made Parvati cry. "Hey, hey, hey. It's alright," he cooed as he moved closer and wrapped an arm around her. "Scorpius and I are together now, remember?" He realized that he was being silly. Why in the world would she be crying over his story about Scorpius when she knew they ended up getting together after their fight? "Wait..." He pulled his face away to look at Parvati. "Why are you crying? What's wrong?" he asked, his heart breaking as he watched his friend try to hold back tears.

Parvati wrapped her arms around Al as much as she could when he moved and wrapped an arm around her, clinging to him as she tried her best not to cry, failing as she started to cry harder. "It's Dom, you're cousin." She managed to get out before burying her face in his shirt, very glad that he was wearing a shirt now because that might have been weird if she pressed her face into his bare chest while crying. She continued to cling to him as she tried to stop crying so she could explain more in detail as to why she was crying but she found herself not able to stop crying.

"Dom?" He blinked confusingly, wondering what had happened between Dom and Parv. To be honest, he had't seen his cousin in a while but he did know that she was extremely close to Parvati. "Shh. It's fine. Everything's going to be okay," he told her, without knowing what the situation was. He rubbed her back in what he hoped was a comforting way, hesitant about asking her to explain what had happened.

Parvati looked up at him and blinked a few times before wiping the tears off of her face. "But how do you know?" She asked quietly. "How do you know it's all going to be fine?" She asked him because she really wished it was all going to be fine but she honestly had no idea if Dom hated her or not. "She hates me, I really think she does now." She said, followed by a small sniff.

"I...I don't know," he admitted sadly. "Why..." He hesitated. "Why does she hate you?" he asked quietly. "You don't have to tell me if you don't want to, but she always loved you, Parv. I don't see how she can suddenly hate you."

Parvati looked at him sadly and figured it would be best to just tell Al the truth of exactly what happened because she could trust Al and knew he wouldn't go around telling the world. "We had a steamy shower together and we made out and I fingered her and then she disappeared and I didn't hear from her in a long time and when I did she told me she was bi and then she asked what was new and I told her I was with James and that I was in love with him and then she seemed to get all annoyed with me about it and she wasn't happy and then I left and I think she hates me." She said, saying it all very fast.

Al's eyes widened and he forced himself not to pull a face, because even though the idea of his female cousin doing sexual female things disgusted him, he knew it wasn't appropriate for him to focus on that part of the story. "Well, you leaving was a bad idea. I walk out on Scorp all the time, though, so I can't blame you. And I don't know why Dom left for such a long time...but...Parv, did you ever consider that maybe Dom...likes you? And that's why she was so upset about you dating James?"

Parvati looked up at him and wiped her face off to get rid of the tears all over her face. "She said she was busy with studying or something." She said with a small nod. Parvati just started sobbing harder at his words and pressed her face into his chest, crying even harder now because she didn't want to think about that because she didn't want Dom to like her. "No, she can't." She managed to get out through sobs. "She just can't."

Al sat up on the bed with his back against the wall. He figured it'd be easier to comfort his friend if he was in a sitting position. He held Parvati's head to his chest, running his fingers through her dark hair as he tried to comfort her. "I...I'm sorry," he muttered weakly, not knowing what else to say. "What did she say about you dating James?"

**Parvati Patil** April 12th 2011, 1:00 am

Parvati continued to cling to Al with her arms around him as she tried to stop herself from crying so hard. She really wouldn't be too fond if James overheard her crying from his room right next door and then ended up asking her what was wrong the next day or something because that would be quite difficult. "She seemed annoyed." She said quietly, choosing to speak quietly rather than speaking normally and having it make her cry harder. "And she wouldn't even look at me after I told her I was in love with him, and then when she did look at me she looked," She said and took a deep breath before hugging Al tighter. "She looked like she was going to cry."

Al sighed as he rested his head on top of Parvati's. "I know you don't want to hear this, but it sounds like she looked that way because you're in love with James...and not her." He really couldn't think of any other reason for Dom to act that way. He knew his cousin. He and Dom used to be close, though he wasn't sure what had happened between them. He blamed their lack of communication on school and exams.

Parvati listened to what Al said and nodded. She knew that it might have been that, that Dom might have been jealous but she didn't want that. That wasn't fair to either of them. "I know but that's not fair." She said quietly. "I didn't get to choose how I feel about either of them, it just happened. It's not fair." She said, keeping her arms wrapped around him as she hugged him close.

Al hugged her tightly, nuzzling his face in her hair. "I know it's not fair, Parv. A lot of things aren't fair. Dom knows deep down that you didn't do this to hurt her, and I'm sure she'll get over it." He bit nervously at his lip. "Maybe," he added quietly, remembering that he had been in a similar position when he first told Scorpius that he had feelings for him.

Parvati hugged him back tightly. "I hope so." She said quietly, still hugging Al tightly. "She doesn't even have to be happy for me, she doesn't ever have to listen to me when I talk about James." She said with a sigh. "I just want her to be my friend again." She said, because she really missed being able to talk to Dom and be comfortable around her and talk about all the gossip going on in the school.

Al sighed against Parvati's hair. He had been in Dom's position before. At least, he had been in one similar to her position. He knew what it was like to have feelings for someone you thought would never return them. He thought back to when he had admitted his feelings to Scorpius, and how even when Scorpius had told Al that he was with Rose, Al had never hated him. Not for a second. "She doesn't hate you."

Parvati smiled slightly, a very small smile as he said that Dom didn't hate her. Sure he couldn't no for sure but if he had been in a similar position with Scorpius then of course he would have a good idea of what Dom could have been feeling. "That's--That's good then." She said with a small nod as she kept her arms wrapped around Al and looked up at him. "Thanks Al." She said quietly.

Al smiled and let Parvati cuddle up to him, sliding down the headboard a bit so he was laying down again. "Maybe you should try talking to her again," he suggested cautiously.

Parvati thought for a moment about what Al had said and nodded. "Yeah, I think I am going to when we get back to Hogwarts." She said with a small nod. "I really should talk to her again. It's not going to get fixed if I don't."

"It won't be easy, but...I think you'll both feel better afterward," he told her as he rested his head down on his pillow. "But you and James...you two are still happy together, right? Does he know? About Dom?"

Parvati nodded as he asked if she was still happy with James. "Yeah, I love James." She said quietly. "I don't think anything can ever change that. I'll always love him. Always." She said confidently because she had a feeling that James could never do anything to her that would make her stop loving him. "He doesn't know though." She said, turning to rest her chin on his chest and look up at him. "Do you think I should tell him?" She asked.

Al smiled to himself as he listened to Parvati talk about James. He felt bad that he hadn't spent much time with his brother lately, but it was nice to hear that his brother was in love with someone as awesome as Parvati. "Oh, I don't know," he answered, chewing at his bottom lip. "Dom being his cousin might make things sort of weird...Maybe you should wait until after you talk to her."

Parvati nodded as he said things might be sort of weird if she told him. "Yeah, I think I'll talk to Dom about it more first and get it all worked out with her and then if it's still a problem at all I'll talk to him." She said with a small nod. "Thank you, Al." She said smiling at him. "For letting me cry and whine to you."

"Anytime," he told her, smiling as he gave her a one-armed hug. "You can always talk to me about this stuff. And I hope you work things out with Dom and James soon. I'm sure you will."
