Lily smiled. "Yes. LOADS. Even so, i'm quite glad to be done with it for a while. Thank you though, and yeah, it's just time consuming. Ah well. " She sighed happily. "Hogsmeade weekend tomorrow, and a nice day today! Brilliance."

"Hmm...." Lily looked up at the sky, purposefully looking extremely thoughtful. She laughed lightly and turned to smile at him. "At least Honeydukes, maybe The Three Broomsticks for lunch? Oh! The bookstore too, i've been meaning to get more books. I've got more space for them than I used to also...is there anywhere you wanted to go?"

Severus smiled all the more, seeing how enthusiastic she was. "The bookstore, absolutely! I never have enough books... though, I probably won't be able to buy any. Don't really have the money..." he said sadly. "But yes, the Three Broomsticks for lunch sounds good. I haven't had actual butterbeer in I don't know how long," he remarked.

Lily grinned, each of them happier at seeing the other's excitement. "It'll be alright. So yes, we're definitely getting butterbeer at the Three Broomsticks. That's two stops during the day, i'll bet we can just wander on a whim otherwise. It'll be awesome."

"Yes, yes it will. I'm so glad I'm finally going to be spending time with you. I've missed you, so much," he said, leaning over and planting a kiss on her rosy cheek. "I can't imagine life without you, Lily. You're the best friend I've ever had."

Lily looked down at her hands and blushed as he kissed her cheek. "I've missed you too Sev." What do you say to getting a kiss on the cheek? Sev's been so sweet lately. She looked up and met his eyes, a slight smile on her face. "Same for me, Sev. You're my best friend, and have been my best friend." Her head was resting in her hand, propped up by her elbow as she looked at her friend, both of them laying on a spacious blanket in the shade on a sunny day.

James was walking by the lake, hoping to see Lily at her tree, when he saw Lily at her tree. With Snape. And Snape was... OH NO HE DIDN'T. James started to storm over, then stopped suddenly. What did he want to do to Snape? He couldn't immediately do anything. Lily would be mad at him. But... Snape deserved punishment. He started storming over again, stopping periodically to figure out what he wanted to do. "What the devil is going on here?! [yup] What... What the... What the HELL?" He shoved Snape away from HIS GIRLFRIEND (in his mind, Lily's his girlfriend, even if that' not necessarily so).

Severus was torn between beating the shit out of James and just storming away and dragging Lily with him. He settled for taking another step towards James, his face livid. "How dare you?!" he snapped, his hand going instinctively for his wand. "What the fuck is your issue?! She's not your fucking toy, and she's not your possession, so stop treating her like she is! She's allowed to hang out with whoever she wants! Excuse me for spending time with my best friend!" he snarled, his grip tightening around his wand.

Severus stared at James, his brow raised. "... Did you finally just crack?" he said, utterly bewildered. He noticed James suddenly placing his hands in front of his crotch, and didn't even try to understand what was going on. "Disgusting? WHAT'S DISGUSTING, HUH?! THAT I WANT TO SPEND TIME WITH MY FRIEND?! WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU POTTER?!" he yelled, pulling out his wand and pointing it at him.

[This doesn't have to turn into a duel, I'd rather it didn't... but there's no way he wouldn't have drawn his by now.]
