Suddenly James was pulled toward Lily's tree, victim of a prank that made him be near her all the time. All of the penguins George pranked James to be followed by came with. He tried to tell Lily he didn't want to be there, but it just came out in points and grunts. Stupid speaking in troll. He sat as far away as he could (ten feet) and sulked. With a boner. Suddenly he started singing "It's getting hot in here, so take off all your clothes..." He found himself stripping, and really kind of wanted to kill himself. This sucked.

Lily just smiled, easily, simply, not showing her regret that James hadn't had a decent argument for himself, that he hadn't, since they kissed, asked her to be his girlfriend. Instead, she just smiled and sighed, laying back down on the blanket, laying on her side and closing her eyes. Maybe i'll go to sleep...and then wake up and that was all a dream. Or not. Stupid pranks. Because of her view angle, she didn't see James.

Severus' jaw dropped as he saw James returning... and stripping, followed by a pack of penguins. He quickly moved himself to prevent Lily from seeing, hoping she hadn't noticed yet. He smiled as she closed her eyes, glad to see her relaxing again. "You're so beautiful," he muttered, barely audible, not quite realizing he'd said it aloud at all.

Severus lay beside her, watching her drift off to sleep. I want to go back to bed, but I can't just leave her alone, especially not with James about. He decided to remain where he was and watch over her, but eventually sleep took him as well, and he fell asleep beside her on the blanket.

Severus awoke in the morning light, slightly confused as to where he was, and why he was outside. He sat up and stretched, breaking into a smile as he saw Lily's sleeping form beside him and recalled yesterday's events, though he frowned as he remembered James. Whatever, it didn't matter now. Today was Hogsmeade! WITH LILY! YAY! He lightly tapped Lily on the shoulder to wake her. "Lily? Lily... It's morning. It's Hogsmeade weekend! " he said happily, smiling down at her.

Lily stretched, feeling a tap on her shoulder, and yawned, blinking her eyes. "Huh...what? Oh. Morning Sev. Guess we both fell asleep here all night...whoops. " She sat up, shaking her head to try and wake herself. "What? Oh, Hogsmeade! That's right! Oh.." She looked down at herself, then up at Sev. "I'm going to rush up to the school, just to get changed and clean up and bit, then we can head out to Hogsmeade, alright?" She smiled as she stood up, swiftly packing the blanket in her bag and ran up to the school, calling behind her "I'll be back soon Sev!"
