Lily smiled, looking into his eyes and running her fingers though his hair. Her voice was just loud enough for him to hear clearly. "..the compliment is not unappreciated."

She looks him up and down, her nose wrinkling in distaste because she hates when boys have longer hair than hers. Imagine sharing a bathroom with that? Drain always getting clogged, never getting a chance at the mirror....

Molly's nose wrinkles at his words, but she does indeed calm down ever so slightly when he takes the defensive stance. "Well it's nice to know you don't discriminate on hair colour even though that's totally what you did because you assumed I was a Weasley, like, totally based on the colour of my hair," she says, tossing said hair lightly over her shoulder. "But why would you go around hating people on sight? That just totally seems like too much effort to me. Whatever, it's a bit stupid," she shrugs.

"I'm Molly," she returns, because it's only polite. And Molly was not raised in a barn. Except for those times the Prewetts cause so much ruckus inside that they get sent outside. Then sometimes she hangs in the barn. But let's not go there. She fiddles with a strand of hair, because she hates the whole Pureblood 'let's see if my family has a bigger metaphorical dick than yours' game. "Erm... lovely weather for a picnic." Yeah... except nobody is actually having a picnic.

You never know who you might be talking to," he says cooly, wishing he could see the look on Molly's face if he were to teach her a lesson like he did to the Weasley girl, though he did eventually regret that-- No. No, he didn't, he tried to convince himself. That girl was a Weasley. She had it coming to her.
