She chuckled a little, trying to give Dean a smile. "I-I'm just so confused Dean." she sighed and rested her head on his shoulder.

Dean wrapped his arms around her again and sighed. "I know. Me too." It was most likely the alcohol, but he was feeling bolder than usual. He places a light kiss on the top of her forehead and sighed. "I don't want to lose you ever. I think you're the only girl that's ever been able to put up with me and all my shenanigans. You're my best friend and I love you."

She sighed and smiled, eyes starting to droop. "love you too" she said softly, "I don't wanna lose you either Dean," she curled in closer to him.

Dean felt a goofy grin slip on his face as he nodded. "I don't wanna go back up to the castle. Let's stay here." He pulled his wand out of his sock, because that's is the only logical place to keep your wand, and somehow managed to conjure up some blankets and pillows. He wrapped them around both of them, putting them in a nice blanket cocoon, the laid down on the pillows. He made sure to keep Angela close and pressed another kiss into her hair. "Goodnight Angypie."

She smiled again and snuggled down under the blanket. "Night Dean." she whispered softly

**Dean Thomas** December 6th 2011, 5:47 am

Dean was having a really pleasant dream. He couldn't remember ever being this comfortable while he slept. But then his senses slowly started coming back to him. The first thing he noticed was that the sun was shining in his eyes. That was weird. He always had the hangings on his bed closed. As he gained more consciousness he felt a throb all through his head. Oh right, he had been drinking. And that's when he felt a breath on his neck and realized, he wasn't sleeping alone. He had his arms tightly wrapped around someone, and it felt so perfect, he never wanted to wake up. With a groan, he slowly opened an eye. Then a few things seemed to happen simultaneously, he realized it was Ange in his arms and then he realized he wasn't wearing any clothes. Shit. Dean had a minor freak out and jerked away from Angela as fast as he could manage. The sudden movement made his head throb and he groaned loudly then threw his hands over his face.

Angela had been in the middle of a lovely dream when she was jerked awake by a sudden movement. She felt herself slipping downwards toward the lake, but managed to catch herself by grabbing onto a rock and pulling herself up. She glanced around groggily, noticing Dean less than clothed, though she still had her dress on which was a good sign. Her stomach flip flopped a little bit at realizing the events of last night were slightly fuzzy, and she groaned at the realization of the pounding headache she had. "What...what happened?" she asked, glancing around at the blankets, pillows and her semi-naked best friend.

Dean groaned again and peeked through is fingers. Oh thank god, she still was fully clothed. He let out a groan and closed his eyes again. "I don't know, but apparently we made up after that fight." He felt a stab of sadness as he remembered, in vivid detail, everything about their fight last night. "Uggh. I think my head is going to explode." He was getting flashbacks from the night, but it was mostly him being mobbed by a bunch of Slytherins, which was extremely odd.

Ange flushed a little, recalling the details of the fight and her extremely conflicted emotions. She nodded in agreement however, "it seems so...Merlin my head hurts." She sighed, running her hands over her face and through her hair "but what happened after that? How did we get here?"

**Dean Thomas** December 6th 2011, 6:41 am

Dean just grunted in response to her remarks about her head hurting too. "I don't know. The last thing I remember is being tackled by a bunch of Slytherins. Apparently it was an interesting night." He gave a weak chuckle then turned on his side to face Ange. He shielded his eyes from the sun and opened them slowly to look at her. "Look, I don't know if I said this last night or not, but I'm really sorry for yelling at you. And I'm sorry that girl kissed me." Even if that was only a little bit his fault.

She flinched at the mention of getting tackled by the Slytherins, and grimaced at the mention of the kiss that had gotten her all worked up the night before. She pulled her knees to her chin and bit her lip, mind and gut working at about 1000 miles a minute. She still couldn't work out why she had freaked out so much and she sighed "I know. I'm sorry I was such a bitch. And Merlin, Ron probably never wants to see me again. What the bloody hell was I thinking?" she groaned.

Dean couldn't help but chuckle a little at how distressed she looked right now. He sat up and placed a hand on her knee. "Hey. Calm down. We were all drinking. I don't think you were, or could ever be, a bitch. And I'm sure Ron will forgive you. Hell, this may help him realize his been in love with Hermione since first year." He shook his head a little, which was a bad idea. He groaned and looked around. "I wish I didn't end up half naked every time I drink. I'll just assume Officer came out to play last night."

She laughed a little, "let's hope. Maybe now he'll be man enough to do something about it instead of pining all the time." She sighed, "Dean, what's going on with us?" she looked up at him, searching for her own answers, trying to figure out why she was so confused about everything.

Dean took a deep breath and stared at Angela as he thought of the best way to respond. He knew this conversation was coming, but he still felt totally unprepared. After a few moments of tense silence, his shoulders dropped and he shook his head. "I don't know. It's like..like ever since this year started, I've been seeing you different or something. You're still my best friend, but there just seems to be...more. But then I just get confused because if there isn't anything there, I don't, no, I can't lose you as my friend. I think that's why I was flirting with that girl, because she wasn't my closest friend, and it wasn't complicated. But it felt wrong. When she kissed me it was...I don't know just not right. And then when you kissed Ron." He took a deep breath again before continuing. "I mean, I know nothing is going on there. But still. It...it hurt. I didn't want to see you kissing somebody else." He ducked his head at that last confession, afraid of what her reaction would be after everything he said.

Angela watched Dean as he made his confession, heart pounding in her chest as she tried to take in everything he was saying. She let him finish and waited a few minutes before trying to respond, still not having her emotions sorted out in her mind. "Dean. Wow. I uh. Shite." she ran her hands through her hair, trying to think of something else to say, and figure out how she felt about it all

Dean bit his lip as he waited for Angela to say something. His heart seemed to have stopped when he realized that she must not have felt the same way. He chanced a glance up and stood slowly, swaying a little but staying upright. "Um. M-maybe. Should...do you want me to leave you alone? I'm--I'm sorry I just dropped that all one you. I just. I'm confused and you're the person I always go to, but I didn't know what to do since I'm confused about you. I don't want to feel awkward around though. I can give you space if you need to.." He didn't really want to be away from her, because she was his closest friend. But if she needed some time and space, then he would give her that. Really, he would give her anything she wanted.

She looked up at him "No, I mean, you don't have to go. I just...I have to process this. I'm glad you told me, I've...been kind of confused myself lately. And I really don't know what to do about it. Maybe we both just need...some time to...oh i don't know, think about everything? I mean, this is crazy right? I mean, we're best friends...I dunno"

Dean let out a breath of relief when she told him to stay. He sat back down because standing was making him really tired. "Right. Yeah. It's...a weird situation. So like, what do you want to do? I don't really know what's suppose to happen now." He was suddenly feeling awkward without and pants or a shirt on. He grabbed the abandoned blanket and threw it around himself so he didn't feel so exposed.

Angela suddenly felt a loooot of pressure to make a decision. "I don't know Dean...I just, I need time to figure out how I feel. I mean, obviously I didn't like you kissing that Slytherin chick, but I need to figure out what this all means. I just can't give you an answer right now"

Dean nodded in understanding. "Right. Sorry. I don't want to make you feel pressured. But we'll figure it all out eventually." He tried to smile. "So maybe we just need a little space for a while? I think that could be a good idea. Um. So I'll just, um go then? I should probably find my clothes anyways. And I think we both could do with a hot shower and some sober up quills." This time he managed a real smile. "Right so. I'm just gonna.." He trailed off awkwardly and stood. He hesitated for a moment before he leaned down and pressed a small kiss to Angela's forehead and whispered, "take all the time you need and find me if you make up your mind about anything." He straightened back up with a sad smile, "see you around Angypie." With that, he waved and then staggered away to find his missing clothes. He would soon find his pants up in a tree and his shirt tied around another one. He never found his shoes.

Ange stared blankly at the lake until Dean kissed her forehead. She looked up at him leaving and nodded him, trying to give him a small smile. "right, space. Okay." she watched him go, zoning out a little and staring at the lake, trying to gather her thoughts. Eventually she knew she had to get up and headed back up to the castle, head still pounding, knowing it was going to be rough for a while without her best friend around.
