Remus continued to shake after Sev had gone. Whether it was all completely from anger anymore or mixed with something else he didn't know. He was just glad he'd kept himself under control and hadn't done anything violent. He slowly turned to face Hermione again and spoke quietly through gritted teeth, "Are you alright?"

*She deflates a little as Snape gives in, rolls over and admits defeat. It makes it a little harder to ignore that niggling feeling in the back of her mind that she'd crossed the line - that she of all people should've known better. She sighs, wondering why she even cares. It's not as if he hadn't proven time and time again that he'd do the same to her if given half the chance. Looking over at Remus, she grimaces a little but the apology in her eyes doesn't make it past her lips.*

Only Remus knows about Snaco, and that's only because his awesome wolfy senses smelt Draco on him in the morning when they ran into each other, and it was clear that Sev had just gotten laid by looking at him, haha. Oh, and Tam/Adrian/Daphne were spying on them, so they know.]

Remus sat down trying to get his breathing back under control. He draws his legs up to his chest and rests his forehead on his knees.
"I almost hit him Hermione. I wanted to hit him so much. But I controlled myself. Thank god..."

The look in Sev's face as he'd walked off was almost too much for Remus to bear. Why had they said such mean things to each other? He started crying not caring if she heard him. Yes he cursed himself for the weakness but he was with her and he didn't think she'd think any less of him for it. He didn't even know why he was crying, maybe it was because this encounter had really marked the end of any sort of relationship he had with Sev. Remus had cried when he'd thought everything was over, when he'd thought he'd lost everyone he loved, but he had never really cried for losing Sev. When Remus had ended their relationship. He hadn't cried about that specifically. This would finally rid him of everything.

*She drops down next to him, kneeling so that she can reach to wrap her arms around him and lay her head on top of his. She wants to make a joke, to tell him it's ok because she kind of almost hit Snape too, but she holds her tongue. Whatever her feelings for Snape, whatever they'd all said in the heat of the moment just now, the fact remained that Remus had had a relationship with him and although he swore it was nothing compared to his relationship with her, it had still been strong enough to come between them more than once in the past. He's got a lot of emotional baggage about Snape, she knows.*

*She makes soothing little 'shh' noises and lets him get it out of his system.*

"Yes. It is over now."
He looks up at her pushing hair back from her face and marveling again at how beautiful she is. "I'm sorry he said all those things to you. You don't deserve any of that. You're a marvelous girl and I'll love you no matter what."

Her anger had pushed most of what Snape had called her to the back of her mind, but now it was all coming back to her and the names he'd called her made her insides churn with disgust. For a moment, she'd almost thought the same of herself. There's a couple of tears glistening in her eyes but she blinks them back. Why should she waste them? All that mattered was that Remus loved her, he didn't think badly of her, hadn't lost respect for her.*

Severus storms down to the lake, looking livid. He couldn't go back to the common room, because Pansy was there, and he couldn't possibly stay in the castle anymore, or somebody was bound to be killed. Kicking a rock in the general direction of the lake, he sat down on the grass, and pulled out some parchment to write a letter. He sent it off with a flick of his wand, then went back to silently fuming. What the hell is wrong with me? What have I done? What am I turning into? Lily would be so ashamed, if she knew what I've done to so many people this past week.

[hmmm that could work...plus if there's fighting involved...well i'd feel bad because i am really pissed off right now and that may make Remus rather mean...oh well drama is good haha. i'm going to have this be after Remus helps Hermione ditch all the alcohol because he'll probably want to walk off and think to himself anyways...which leads very well into what Mya and I are planning.]

Remus wanders down around the lake deep in thought. He was glad that he could help Hermione get rid of all that alcohol, to help her start to heal. He continued to wander around not really looking where he was going.

[Sev's really, really, really on edge right now, so anything might set him off, honestly. Then again, he's so depressed, he might not have the motivation to do anything at all.]

Severus closed his eyes and leaned against the tree, trying to comprehend his own actions. What if he had really hurt Adrian? Could she take care of herself, after all that blood loss? Would anyone think to look for her? He felt a sinking feeling in his stomach, clenching his fists again as he remembered what he'd done, she'd done, what they had both done, to themselves and each other. She deserved it. That doesn't make it right. She practically begged for it, no, she did beg for it. You should never have done that. She had me at knife point, what should I have done, what could I have done? You could have left, when you escaped the bindings, you could have left, but instead, you stayed, you stayed, and you hurt her, you choked her, you raped her. I really am some sick, twisted creature. He was too wrapped up in his thoughts to see the man approaching.
