She laughs at Hermione's comments. "Yeah, I'd say that's true." Looking mournfully at the chicken leg on the floor, she stands up, wiping her tears. "Thanks for understanding, Mya. I think I'll go find some food." She smiles sadly and walks off.

Milli freezes, because freezing is fun, and it just radiates shock and awkwardness. She has not seen Padma since the day before that disastorus day at the Lake, and that scene had been upsetting too. She flails mentally, and then recollects herself. "Um, hi, Padma," she says. "I've, um, seen better days. You?"

"No kidding," Padma muttered under her breath, although it was really funny to see Harry acting insane. It was something she could use against him later. Possibly. "Oh, fine... Prom's coming up, so I'm excited for that, but Andrew might not be out of the hospital in time." She shrugged.

Milli giggles inside her own head at Harry's insaneness...but quickly stops when she remembers that it WAS HER FAULT. "Prom? Oh, right, the one I can't go to. Well, I hope Andrew does get out. So you two can have a good time, that is," she adds hastily, fully aware that she can now be called "scarlet woman," and "boyfriend stealer."

"They can't?" Padma asked, confused. "I thought fourth years were allowed, but maybe not." She shrugged, then looked up as Harry bumped into her. "Watch where you're going!" she said irritably. "And keep your head up, Harry. It doesn't do you any good to slouch." Because she, unlike Harry, was very observant and could have spotted a Puking Pastille in his hand if he'd had one.
