Severus thinks back to Hermione, but decides not to mention it- he wouldn't admit it to himself, but he was afraid of bringing up Hermione, at all. The tiniest bit of him was absolutely terrified that any moment, Remus might suddenly run away from him, and back to her. No, that was ridiculous, he'd never do that- he was with Sev now. Sev was happy. He was happy. Right? "It was alright, McGonnagall didn't turn me into a smore for being late again... so that's a plus."

[haha not talking about it is probably worse for them than actually talking about it but hey Remus isn't talking about a lot of stuff these days and letting all his feelings build up inside is what's going to make the Snupin kill happen]

Remus laughed, "Well that's good. I don't know if I could be with a smore...someone may eat you then you'd be gone and I'd be sad."

Remus blushed and held Sev tightly close to him. He buried his head in Sev's shoulder smiling. He was still tired but he would do his best to stay awake.

Severus held Remus close, knowing he should tell him that he'd told Hermione, but still dreading what his reaction might be. Either way, he'd feel worse for not saying anything at all. "Er... Remus? I spoke to Hermione today. I had to tell her about Lily, remember?"

[yes well Remus needs to have a whole bunch of sad stuff building up in his head so that when he gets drunk it'll finally break free and he'll snap. i'm trying to decide what's going to happen to get him drunk...either a particularly nasty dream...OMFG I JUST HAD A BRILLIANT IDEA. *runs to plan particularly NASTY dream that would have Remus drinking into the next century*]
