He didn't respond. He didn't really know what to say at the moment, nor could he say what he'd been thinking while she'd been talking to him, how bad he'd felt. He just sat there, his head buried in Sev's shoulder, and absentmindedly poked some of the buttons on Sev's shirt.

"Oh my. Well harry and james do look a lot like each other. And I like Lavender! She's coming to Sweden with us!"

Severus sighed. Remus wouldn't even look at him. He wrapped his arms around him tightly, kissing him on the forehead. "Careful with those buttons. I lost a button once. It made me sad. Thinking about that poor little button, all lost and alone. It was heartbreaking. But then I got a Hufflepuff to find it! And it was all better!" he rambled, hoping he could get away with trying to take their minds off of Hermione.
