Pansy wandered down the hill toward the lake, wondering if she might find Draco there. She hadn't really seen him since the ball and missed his company. She glanced up from watching her step to look at the lake shore, only to see... No. That can't be what I think... oh Merlin it is. She didn't know what to do. She was torn between turning and running toward the castle to escape the sight or running toward the lake to put a stop to it, to crucio Remus Lupin like he'd never been crucio'd before. When did this happen? Remus Lupin, I swear, you've gone back on your word, and I'll... I'll... , but she couldn't think of anything evil enough to do to him. She'd stopped walking, but hadn't noticed that she'd also pulled out her wand and was flexing her fingers angrily around the black wood. She took a deep breath, trying to decide what to do.

But I'll let you down. Like I let her down... His eyes threatened him with tears again. He willed them away but one slid down his face. He cursed himself silently for what seemed like the 50th time that day and then looked down so he could wipe the tear away. "You don't have to make me happy Sev. It's my job to make you happy. You deserve it more than me and I'll do my best."

Severus leaned in and kissed away his tear, pulling him close and resting his head on Sev's shoulder. "You make me happy by just being here, Remus, just being in my arms. Being mine. I belong to you, and you belong to me, and that's all I need. To feel like I belong."

Pansy realized she was standing out in the open and knew she had to move or risk being seen. She took a step toward the lake, a step backwards toward the castle, and then toward the lake again before she ran down behind them, scaling the branches of a tree a ways off from them. She closed her eyes and tried to clear her head, trying to think of what she should do. Why did no one tell me? Why would they do this again? Wasn't once enough? Didn't they learn from what happened before? This can't end well. It won't end well. But it's got to end. It must. She ran her hands through her hair and tried to calm down and work things out about what to do.

[*is currently digging a hole to hide in for whenever Pansy gets a chance to attack Remus*]

A sob tore at his throat but he suppressed it. He knew it wasn't healthy to keep all these feelings locked up but he didn't want Sev to see him again like he was when he'd first ran into the empty classroom after Hermione had told him to leave. He didn't want anyone to see him like that anymore. He sighed and closed his eyes tiredly while resting his head. "I'm glad Sev. I'm glad that you're happy."

Severus smiled, oblivious to Remus' inner turmoil. He ran his fingers through his love's fluffy hair, the bliss he'd felt last night returning. This was real. This was Remus. This was him. This is us, together. Somebody cares about me. He's content just holding him close, listening to Remus' steady breathing and relaxing in the crisp night air.

Pansy felt dizzy, clueless. She wished she had someone here to help her rationalize what was going on. She wished Draco was here, but was also glad he wasn't. He brought out her acting-before-thinking side, and she didn't need that right now. She took a deep breath and leaned forward to check again if that was really what she saw. Severus was playing with Remus's hair. She didn't know who she was angrier at in this moment, Remus for going back on his word, or Severus for giving that bloody Gryffindor a second chance. They were both fools.

Sirius walks down to the lake and sees Remus and Snape. He clenches his fists trying to restrain himself from attacking them.

[Oh no, are Pansy and Sirius going to gang up on us?!?!? RUN WITH ME REMUS WE MUST FLEE!]

He was slowly drifting off to sleep again but was worried that he'd have the dream again. "I do believe I may fall asleep I'm so tired haha. But if I fall asleep on you all the time you'll get bored with me, so let's talk about something. I don't know what just anything fun so I don't fall asleep on you."

Severus looked at him- he did look exhausted, and Severus couldn't figure out why- he'd had plenty of time to sleep. He decided to ignore it; if it was important, he trusted Remus to tell him. "I can think of a few ways to keep you up tonight," he whispered into his ear, sliding a hand up Remus' thigh.

Sirius turns towards Snape and Remus again and gags.
