Gasping in surprise, he winced as he hit the floor. Wolfy and him both growled at the rough treatment. Though in a way he guessed he deserved it. And it was true. He couldn't really hurt her now, so he didn't have that to worry about. He couldn't stop himself from glaring at her anyway, so he turned his head to glare at the floor next to him. "I know. But, I just saw him and...I know, I know. I shouldn't have let my anger get the best of me, alright? It's not like I'm not regretting it now." He was ashamed of himself for letting this happen.

[LOL *feels good that for once her first thought was not how kinky this looks* Hmm...another round huh? Mya'll definitely win if she's pulling this. haha]

*Hermione watches him glaring at the floor for a moment while all the anger seeps out of her. She feels her eyes start to prickle with tears - now that the adrenaline is wearing off, she's truly frightened of how things could've turned out - and presses her hand over her eyes for a moment.*

I know. But you nearly killed him. Do you have any idea what would've happened if you had? Remus, they would've taken you away, they would've killed you -

*Her voice cracks on the last two words, she can barely imagine it without losing her mind.*

"I KNOW!" His eyes were practically trying to burn a hole through the floor. "Merlin, what was I thinking?!" He sensed the change in her voice, hearing the crack as she speaks. He turns to face her, eyes back to their normal color now. His eyes fill with tears and he curses himself for making her so upset, for making her worry. He struggles to sit up, hating the ropes that kept his arms from hugging her tightly. In a fit of desperation he tries to yank his arms apart but the ropes just cut into his wrists, letting them bleed along with the cuts on his face and chest. He lays back down on the floor, breathing heavily, and stares up at her with pleading eyes. "Please remove them? I won't go anywhere. Promise."

*There are silent tears coursing down Hermione's face, but she barely notices them. She takes her wand and gently severs the bonds on his wrists and ankles with a couple of whispered Diffindos before putting it away.*

Don't ever do anything like that again - I can't lose you.

Remus doesn't even wait for the feeling to come back into his ankles or wrists. He sits up as fast as he can and pulls her into his arms, holding her tightly. "I won't, I won't. I can't stand seeing you this upset." His own tears fall on her shoulder, and he pulls back only far enough that he can see her face. He brushes the tears off her face. "I'm sorry." He sees that he's gotten blood on her shirt and sighs. He'd forgotten that he was injured. The back of his head hurt too, and he could feel blood back there as well. Must of been from when he'd hit the rocks. But he'd been more worried about her being upset to notice until now.

*She hugs him back with all her strength, then gasps and breaks away - what the hell is she doing, sitting here crying like a little girl, when he's covered in blood. She slides off his lap, kneeling on the dusty floor beside him, and puts her hands on his shoulders, looking him over almost frantically.*

Merlin, you're really injured! We've got to get you fixed up - where does it hurt?

He tries to give her a small smile, but it doesn't entirely come out right. More of a wince from her touching his shoulders. "Just some cuts...he got me good from the chest up." The gash down his face was testimony to that. It was rather deep. The other ones, on his chest and shoulders, weren't all that bad. You could hardly see them anyway cause his shirt covered them, except for the places where the shirt was cut too. "The back of my head from the rocks, that's bleeding too. And he kicked me in the stomach at one point but we can't really do anything about that. Is he...will he be alright?"

*She swallows.*

I left him in the Hospital Wing. He was still breathing, I think he'll be ok. Here, take this off -

*She gestures to his shirt while she moves around behind him to inspect the gash on the back of his head. It's not small, but thankfully it doesn't look too deep.*

This may sting a little, honey.

*Without giving him time to think too much about the impending pain, she performs a quick disinfecting charm on the gash, making sure it's thoroughly cleaned out. Thanks to his werewolf side, the wound seems to be closing over already, and she's glad. It's no fun to see him in pain, so the less he has to deal with it, the better, in her humble opinion. She waits for him to follow her orders and remove his shirt before she can turn her attention to the rest of his body.*

"As long as he'll live..." He bites his lip and tries not to cry out as she cleans the gash. After she was done with that he removed his shirt, glad that he'd chosen to wear one that buttoned today.

[bwahahahhaha Dee just told Sirius she's pregnant (even though she really isn't and Tam's just pulling a prank I guess) and he FAINTED. Glad I handled this sort of thing better. (even though I almost fainted...but I DIDN'T. so it's all good) I really want him to tell Remus about it. It'd be hilarious.]

*Hermione winces in sympathy at his obvious pain, and moves to inspect his chest. She gives it the same treatment as she gave the back of his head, but thinks that the wounds here look a little deeper, so she runs her wand along them, knitting the skin back together. Then she turns her attention to the cut on his face. As gently as she can, she cleans and closes is. It leaves a long, thin scar down his face, but she knows that with his healing abilities, there's every chance it will fade soon. Gently, she leans in and kisses it better, then kisses his lips as well. She remembers he said Hovvle kicked him in the stomach, so she bends down and kisses that better for good measure.*

I love you.

He continues to bite his lip while she heals him. The scar from the gash on his face itched a bit, but he was used to getting cuts from when he transformed so he could deal. He smiles as she kisses his stomach. "I love you too." He pulls her back up gently and kisses her. "I love both of you." He smiles and leans down to kiss her tummy. Humming happily to himself he sits back up and places a hand on her stomach, pressing his forehead against hers. "The baby's showing, love."

*She blinks and pulls her forehead away from his in surprise. Looking down, she lifts his hand just enough so she can inspect her stomach. Sure enough, it's slightly swollen now - a round, firm little bump jutting out, straining her waist band a little. Smiling a little in wonder, she lays Remus' hand back against it, covering his hand with her own. She kisses him and murmurs in a soft voice:*

So there he is. Of course, that might just be all the sandwiches and chocolate at this stage...

He grins and kisses her back. "Nah, that's definitely all her in there." He hugs her happily and rests his chin over her shoulder. It was amazing, how he could be in such a terrible mood, or raging wolfy mood, and she could get him out of it. He appreciated her much more than he'd ever be able to say or explain. If it hadn't been for her, snapping him out of his stupid thinking, he'd still be in here sulking.

Don't start that again. I'm not in the mood. Imagine my annoyance when I woke from my lovely nap to find there were none of the sandwiches that I'd been promised waiting for me, and then having to come all the way down here to patch up my bleeding-yet-still-astonishingly-sexy husband up after he answers the call of the wild all over my tormentor, still on an empty stomach!?

*She kisses his nose to make sure he knows there's no real bite to her words, and busies herself with repairing his shirt for him.*

Sounds like a plan. But first, you might want to dress yourself again. I have a feeling all these hormones will make me a little jealous, and if you walk out there half naked, I won't be held responsible for my actions when people start throwing themselves at you!
